What colour shoes would suit this dress for a wedding?

Shoe colour to go with this dress. It’s for a wedding. I’m not a native to style and beauty and seem to really struggle with this stuff! I’m pale skinned if that helps, and not convinced I could carry off yellow gold (as suggested by a friend).

I want a block heel for comfort. Suggestions welcome, but mainly where I should stray colour wise.

I’ll probably get shot down for suggesting these but everyone will be jealous of your comfort in these and you’d definitely wear again! Personally I’d go with a linen trouser suit so I could wear smart trainers!

If summer definitely nude or deep beige.

They just scream old granny with fun shoes.

My first thought was gold as well, but if not gold I’d say nude or possibly silver. BUT you could have even more fun with it and go for a fun pop of colour like fuchsia and pair with a hat which is my personal fave

I prefer gold because I’m brown eyed and tan easily, but as OP is fair these are perfect. So pretty, dainty but wearable, and an absolute bargain

One irritating observation from this process is that all shoes advertised as “comfort” etc are all wide fit or extra wide fit. I have narrow feet, and have accidentally bought wide fit from Vinted before (or it wasn’t mentioned in the listing).

Some that people have shared are only available in wide fit, which is no good for me!

I have narrow feet too, OP, & find Penelope Chilvers footwear (I have had sandals, shoes & boots over the years) to be great for narrower feet.

Their sizing can a bit inconsistent though - but if you check the description it will usually say if a particular shoe comes up small or large.

Hi op, attaching an image (if it works) showing 4 options of different neutral shoes with the dress. My preference would be avoid the darker blue, go for a lighter shade. I quite like how the cream pair look. Hope this helps.

I’d be bold and go for fushia pink, I’ve a lovely pair of fushia block heels as I wore a navy and fushia dress to my brothers wedding.
The colour would be lovely with royal blue as well especially with matching bag

I'd go for bright(ish) pink ones. Lots of different styles out there, but just adds a fun element to the dress!
Silver or navy would be the alternative, more subtle option.

I love Esska shoes! Super comfy block heels like you are after @FoxRedPuppy - have a look at any in the platinum colourway - it’s kind of in between gold and silver - goes with everything and a good neutral?

I'd go for pink, yellow, green or red or multi coloured. However as I think open toed, block heeled sandals are the most unattractive footwear option I'm probably not the right person to ask. For that dress I'd go for a pointy, toe ballet flat in a bright, primary colour, possibly with embellishments.

I don’t think I can get away with bright pink, orange or yellow due to my ginger hair! Yellow and orange in particular are awful on me.

I love bright colours, but am often limited by my pasty skin and ginge!

Just seen the rest of message- I hate pointy toes. I don’t ever wear heels, at all they hurt so much. Thin heels are particularly awful. A bock heel is my compromise to make them more comfy. Also love chunky- my go to shoes are converse and doc martens!

actually I’ve got some bright yellow converse, maybe I’ll wear them! 😂

I do love the look of The Esska ones. They are so expensive though. I know they would last, but I haven’t had an occasion to wear these sort of shoes for at least two years, and may not again for years! If I was going to weddings/events all the time they would be a great investment.

What is it with Style and Beauty 's obsession with Nude shoes?
Do people actually wear these insipid and boring coloured shoes? And the styles they come in - from what I've seen on this forum - look so dated and usually look so uncomfortable.

I don’t get the Esska shoes love.
To me they are super chunky with straps and don’t enhance the leg. Well they wouldn’t enhance my legs.
Each to their own.

Oops meant to add, that many of the Esska shoes give a 1940’s vibe.

I really dislike them. I've just said on another thread that I'm old enough to remember that style as a teenager in the 70s ; hated them then and still do now, except with added they remind me of Gary Glitter vibes.

You need platinum. Yes, it’s a real shoe colour, It’s like a v quieter toned gold, or warmer silver. Agree that high gold n silver can be brash, platinum is a little more muted and would go with your jewel toned dress without boring nude. You could also look for shoes described as bronze or pearl coloured.
