The Ultimate Wedding Guest Sandal

I am on the look out for mid sized block heel in gold. I want to be able to last the whole day and night in them. A pair to add to the wardrobe that will go with any dress. Bonus points if I can get a matching gold bag!

I never thought it would be possible to last thw day and night in a heel but my wedding shoes were the most comfortable things I've ever worn and lasted 13 hours in them but unfortunately the brand dont do gold sandals!

I have these. I wanted some sandals without an actual ankle strap as I find them uncomfortable. These are so comfortable and I like the block heel as it gives stability especially as I rarely wear anything other than a low heel these days.

It can clash if you want, it can match if you want, it can be somewhere in-between & tone but not match exactly. All will work, depending on the outfit!

Have a look at a site like The Outnet & you'll see all of those variants. For instance, in this outfit the blue bag & tan shoes don't match, but they each pick up a colour in the skirt & so it looks coordinated.

Similar with these outfits. The bag & footwear don't match - but they both tie in with colours in the dress they're worn with.

Here it's a clashing approach of yellow & black with hot pink (which doesn't work with the bag IMO, it's too heavy looking & another bright colour would have been better). I think you need to be quite confident at mixing/matching/clashing to make this work well.

In this outfit the accessories (belt, bag, footwear) don't exactly match but they are all raffia with leather, which ties them together.

In this, a black dress is worn with black sandals that have a silver toe strap. And the bag is silver to connect with that (as is her jewellery).

And this one is full-on matching bag & footwear! Looks pretty good to me ...

Im loving all the options! I think the M&S ones are my favourite so far. Im looking for a more delicate look, some of the esska options look a bit too heavy for me.

I really like the look of a gold sandal and bag together, however "dated" it is! There's so many shades of gold its mad! I thought I liked a more champagne-gold colour but all these links are making me realise I do like a strong yellow gold colour.

Love the look of these too and yes ankle straps can be uncomfortable. I can never get them right - either too loose or too tight!

Im going to a wedding in September and am looking at some of these for me as a guest.

@Eggybreadwithnuts the next wedding I have is in October! I dont really have many good shoe shops around me, the closest ones to me would be cheapish, pretty but not comfortable, the exact type Im trying to avoid 🤣
