The Ultimate Wedding Guest Sandal

I am on the look out for mid sized block heel in gold. I want to be able to last the whole day and night in them. A pair to add to the wardrobe that will go with any dress. Bonus points if I can get a matching gold bag!

I never thought it would be possible to last thw day and night in a heel but my wedding shoes were the most comfortable things I've ever worn and lasted 13 hours in them but unfortunately the brand dont do gold sandals!

Just coming on to say I misread the title as the ultimate wedding guest scandal and was disappointed mainly that there was no scandal in sight and also of course that it wasn’t yet another thread on a guest wearing a white dress to a wedding …. 😳

Same! Once OP has been helped can someone share a scandal just to scratch the itch lol

What makes Esska so comfortable? They don't look very comfortable

I think it’s the block heel. It truly doesn’t feel like you are walking in high heels. I’ve had mine for about six years, wear them regularly ( my gun metal ones go with everything) and they still look brand new. Great quality

Promisingtree · 05/08/2026 00:01

Thank you!

TealReader · 05/08/2026 00:03

They are just really comfortable. Block heel, wide toe box, slight platform. I bought a pair of closed toe pointed slingbacks that I can wear all day at work (and I’m on my feet all day usually).

Poppycorn123 · 05/08/2026 04:06

I got a pair from Monsoon with a matching bag. They have bows on. Really comfy. Not on their own site, somewhere a bit cheaper. Can't remember where.Still in stock now on their own site but £75. If you shop around you may find them cheaper.

EleanorMc67 · 05/08/2026 05:08

If you're going to invest, choose this style from this brand. And the matching bag ...

I didn’t find them comfortable at all. Bought for a work Xmas party and by the end of the night had to take them off. Was so sad!

FitFlop?

Those M and S ones are so elegant.
I don't find chunky shoes stylish at all, so the Esska ones would not be for me (I am tall and don't need the extra height).

Tralalalalatata · 05/08/2026 07:25

A shout-out for these ones (Nomasei, Venus). They are extraordinarily comfortable and my go-to wedding guest or dinner or awards do shoes.

I love & covet those shoes. And am really hoping a pair of those or the bow-back Adora appear on eBay/Vinted in my size ...

They are closed toe not sandals but these shoes are ridiculously comfy. I have worn the black ones to various events and parties and the gold ones to my husband's graduationand plan to wear them to a wedding next month.

I love those shoes and tried them on. Unfortunately the arthritis in my big toe meant that I couldn't walk in them 😒

Strictlyshortly · 05/08/2026 11:04

Dammit! I'm here for the scandal too.

Anyway, good luck with the sandals.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 05/08/2026 11:48

I have a silver pair of Esskas. What makes them and the other ones comfortable is the block heel. Depending on your price point go for whichever you like. I’m not keen on gold.

I did see a woman on a train last week wearing gold wedge shoes/sandals that looked comfy but they were quite blingy.

BreadInCaptivity · 05/08/2026 12:11

I have these @Mathair2(I also have them in red suede). I love them. I can wear them all day and evening.

I don’t actually have bunions btw either 🤣 I just liked the style and will probably buy them again in taupe when they are available again in my size.
