Which trainers are fashionable and versatile for a woman in her fifties?

Advise for trainers please. What are the trainers that are in fashion for a 50 year old me? Would like some to go with floaty dresses etc well just about anything really Thank you

Onitsuka tiger Mexico are a good bet I think. I have them and so do my teens.

Can no age group escape the tyranny of trainers? I’d go for ballet flats, sandals, wedges, ankle boots —- anything but a style more than a decade old and boring af.

I’m 45 and I love Hoff trainers. They come in loads of colours and they’re insanely comfortable. Much better for wearing all day than Adidas

I second Onitsuka tigers, I’ve had them all, all the brands, and these are the comfiest I’ve ever owned, I can walk for miles in them, they are not bulky on and low profile, but have hidden arch support. Look great with all clothing.

But none of those suggestions are anything like as practical and supportive (in general) as a good pair of trainers! Comfort over fashion imo.

What an odd post, she didn’t say she will only ever wear trainers. Most people have many different types of shoes, for example I have trainers, ballet flats, sandals, boots, etc, although not wedges as the 90s were a long time ago.

I don't think anyone is forcing you to wear them if you don't want to. Others like them. I am not seeing anything particularly novel about any of your suggestions and who wants to wear ankle boots with a summer dress?

Absolutely, I’ve a pair of the white trainer ones, they simply are not remotely stylish, and honestly they are not as comfy as my Onitsuka tigers.

The Onitsuka ballerinas are things of beauty. I don't own any (yet)

Love my New Balance 327's I've got quite a few colours and they're great for walking and look stylish too. Also love my Adidas Gazelle bolds! (I'm 58)

I like my gabor flatform ones because they are super comfy, easy yo get on amd makd me look slightly less of a midget.
