Yes or no to Jorts?

Definitely one to avoid! 😆

Not for me but wear them if you like them.

They look ok on the model but probably ghastly on the rest of us.

I like them a lot. Those ones will look great with a plain vest as well as the scarf top.

However, someone will be along soon with some spiteful oh so totes hilarious "joke" about how awful they are and everyone will either try to outwit it, or declare how they spat their tea out and woke their babies and dh.

They seem more like culottes than shorts to me - julottes?
They might suit some people - they remind me or something I might have worn as a teenager in the 70s. But they look as though they might be a bit uncomfortable to walk in.

Either a skirt or more conventionally cut denim shorts would probably look better.

I passed someone wearing a similar pair the other day and she looked amazing. Not sure they'd suit everyone but I don't object to the idea.

I love them! Mine are from TU and are a brilliant way of feeling summery without getting my ugly legs out too much.

I like them I am ancient I couldn't get away with the tiny bandana top ! .I.also agree with a pp.they are definitely "joulouttes" if you like them get them.

My tall and v slim 20y old wears them. She looks good but only in the sense she would look good in a bin bag. I on the other hand would look absolutely dreadful. And that top wouldn’t even cover one of my boobs.

I have some longer denim coulottes that look a bit like that. I will probably get slated on here, but I love them. Perfect for slightly cooler summer days (like today) when it's still too warm to want jeans, but not really hot.

I love the top too and would have worn it 25 years ago - I couldn't get away with it now though!

There's culottes! They look good. Easy to wear. Yes from me.

If you’re young and lovely, these look great. On me, 43 and Peri, they look god awful.

Assuming you mean the culottes, I like them and I am neither young nor lovely. I might wear the top as a headscarf.

I am 55 and love them. I also love culottes, they suit me.

Don’t like these at all - the picture looks like the model’s got her skirt caught up in her fanny 🤦🏻‍♀️

but some other jorts I’ve seen do look nice - a friend has some that are not so flared out as the ones in the picture and and they suit her. But like the pp’s daughter, she’s look good in a bin bag!

If they look that dreadful on the model, it’s probably a no.

They’re exactly the sort of thing my husband’s frumpy cousin wears every summer, complete with blindingly white legs and sandals from Hotter.

I like them. I’ve bought a few pairs to try and some looked better than others but I don’t know why. I sent the not good ones back.

People were sceptical like that about barrel leg jeans when the first came in and they are everywhere atm. They are not that shocking imo.

They wouldn't suit me at all, just as barrel leg jeans don't.

Not to say there are probably many people who would look great in them.

I’ve seen few items of clothing I detest more. They are just not aesthetically appealing, even on the model.

But minipoodlemum and Floisme don't you realise this is yet another piece of clothing that's only suitable for the clothing industry's main targeted demographic - "tall lovely 20 year olds that would look good in a bin bag" ?

You’re right - one of the best things about not being a willowy 20 year old is picking clothes that I know I will love and wear for years. I also wear a tiny white A line mini from H&M (only on holiday) which would also look 100 times better on a lovely young thing. I suspect that skirt would raise a few eyebrows on S&B too…

I have these exact jorts - they make my legs look slimmer which is all good 😀
