Are white or cream trainers and dresses still ok? Which ones are nice enough.g. not too clunky? Are Vejas comfy? Superga? Any others?

Before you get all the tedious ‘if you like it, wear it’ comments…the white trainers with a long dress look is definitely dated now. Retro style two-tone trainers are more current, or coloured ones.

I’ve recently got brown/cream Handball Spezial trainers.

I think it looks nice but is probably dated as pp noted above. But I’ve seen some wicked ugly current styles though!

I still like converse with dresses

I wear samba/gazelle/courts with dresses all the time. I have so many different colour combinations to mix and match. I’m not a fan of specials but that’s due to the high arch support.

Gettingbysomehow · Yesterday 11:24

In my view I think they look God awful.
There are so many gorgeous shoes and sandals out there, why would you wear a dress and trainers.

In my case because of a foot condition sandals and most shoes are not supportive enough and lead to severe ankle pain if worn more than an hour.

I like trainers more than I like shoes and i definitely don’t like sandals.

Are you female? Or just spotting females in the wild?

ThinAir7 · Yesterday 11:45

Females with their shapely legs! Sounds like something Martin from Friday Night Dinner would say!🤣

Even more reason to wear them then!

F*ck off with your male gaze misogyny.

Op I wear coloured trainers, if you don't like colours choose something almost neutral or earthy like a sage green.

Trainers are a godsend for those of us with feet or leg conditions. I broke my foot a year ago and still can't wear anything other than certain trainers. I'm grateful there's such a variety available!

TheFairyCaravan · Yesterday 11:54

To answer your question, I’ve got Veja Campos and they’re incredibly comfortable.

I’ve got lots of different trainers. I find my Gazelles the most comfortable tbh

Faie enough. Thats a different kettld of fish. If I had to wear them Id stay away from the stark white look and go for something neutral or darker.
When you see someone coming down the street in bright white trainers that all you can see.

I do.

It took me a long time to get used to the white trainers with floral dresses look, despite the obvious benefits and now, to my eyes, it looks all wrong again.

I haven't given up on dresses and trainers but now they're more casual/atheletic style dresses, eg. ribbed column tshirt dress or a loose racer back jersey dress and coloured retro suede trainers.

Just the one female leg?

What utter fucking nonsense you’re spouting.

Me too

OtterLovesItsRock · Yesterday 14:46

Has anyone tried Moshulu?

Converse hurt my feet because I need more arch support. I am moving away from trainers except for sports, because of the environmental waste issue.

I rejoice in pink glittery Birkenstocks, and biker or Victorian boots.

Thank goodness for that. I can do without more horrible pervy men looking at me.
