Final order duly placed - thank you for the push - there must be something for me out there! I've bought almost nothing this sale anywhere else either. Just placed a quick order at Ivy for a couple of t-shirts and that's it. Nothing appealed at Cos this time around.

I ordered the Totem dress. I opted for a 12, because if its roomy I may get into it at the end of the summer, and if I get to my target weight I wont mind it being voluminous

Did anyone order this? I keep meting drawn back to it, reviews are great…..

As planned, I looked through my wardrobe and took out the clothes that don’t fit and I will never wear. The forever long held onto designer clothes and party dresses that I had hoped to pass onto someone someday. I have two boys so I had to wait. Today my son’s girlfriend has had great fun going through them and me too. It’s so wonderful knowing they will bring joy to someone rather than hiding in the dark. 😊 Now there’s some nice freed up space in my closet for all the lovely toast clothes I’ve bought in the last year.
It’ll be easier now moving on clothes that don’t fit into my life.

Oh and that included a nice wee white toast sundress/nightdress that I bought on Vinted, labelled 10 but is very tight. So she also has a wee toast dress that she loves.
I need to lose weight.

@ScallopShellWalk I’m thinking of wearing my not-pj trousers tomorrow! V pleased with them

@ToastSafeFromMothsAndDogs I’m now back in my seersucker dress as it’s now so hot. This dress has been on a lot already.
what are your not pj trousers?

Does anyone have this top? What’s it like? I remember seeing it in store much earlier in the season when my head was still in winter woolies so not looking at sleeveless things. My sister bought it in the sale but it doesn’t fit her well and she is thinking of returning but asked me if I would like it. I won’t see her for a couple of weeks and it’ll be beyond the return period then. I really like the look of it but need someone to tell me it’s great (or not!).

@ScottishMouse ask Toast if they will give an extension on the top with the understandable reason. I did this once for a reworn jacket, I had paid express delivery for it to arrive before my hols but it came after I’d left and I wouldn’t be back within the 2 weeks. They were very obliging and gave me the full month.
You may not like the top so it’d be good to know you can return it. It’s worth asking. I emailed but maybe it’d make no difference.

I had thought they would have a restock of some sort on the last day of sale but I can’t see anything.
The sale Chie Mihara boots still haven’t been dispatched from ordering Friday. But the last sale top, striped linen knit is arriving today.

@ScottishMouse i have that top in two previous colourways and like it very much. It has a limited weather niche, though, since the temperature needs to be high enough for bare arms but low enough for knitted top. I think I would wear the tops more if I lived in southern England where there are more middling days.

Thanks @ToastSafeFromMothsAndDogs, you have confirmed what I had thought about it. I wouldn’t layer it, so it would likely not be worn too often - I really only want to get my arms out if it is super hot and then the knit would be too warm.
Instead I will continue my search for more long-sleeved airy smock type tops like the navy seersucker one. It is almost the only thing I wore on holiday recently, it was perfect for the heat while also providing sun protection. If I could pick up another couple of similar tops I would be sorted for summer, but so far nothing else is quite right.

So that’s it then, sale is over, I imagine many a postie will give a sigh of relief 😅.

My last two orders were actually successful, the avocado stripe tee, and the blue tea towel dress. I’m really pleased with the dress, I bought this in my usual m and it’s a lovely fit, I’ve just spent an enjoyable 20 minutes playing with the ties to see how I like it best. It’s not as fitted as on @Whowhatwerewolf but I think it works for me.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - that avocado top is one of the items I wish I had ordered - but didn’t.

FM sandals are going back, unfortunately. The soles are very comfortable and the straps are the same length on both shoes, (which they weren’t on the first pair I tried), but the heel straps are just too short for me to fasten them comfortably. I haven’t got particularly fat/wide feet, but I think this particular sandal is best suited for people with long thin feet.

I am disappointed as the sole is so comfortable. At a cheaper price point I might have taken a chance and hoped the neoprene would stretch a bit, but they were still pricy in the sale.

I am really disappointed that I had to return all my sale orders. If I could turn back time, I would have kept one of the Reworn dresses, but at that point I was convinced I would find sale stuff that I liked more!

Oh well!

The avocado tripped long sleeved top was one I wondered about. In the end I went for the thicker fabric chefs striped long sleeved tee. I’m not really sure whether it’s right for me. I wonder if the stripes are too contrasted but it’s nice on and I do need a long sleeved tee for cold weather. It’s interesting, when I think of it I’m unsure but when I put it on I like it more. Same for the blue checked cotton scarf, it’s much more muted and lighter irl than in my mind. I wonder if it’s just the memory of the photos on the website which for both of these were very bright. The prices were pretty good
@IlovePond there will always be something else. Which might be a comfort but for me I have bought too much. 😬

I just feel guilty about sending so much back @ScallopShellWalk I also ordered poorly- I genuinely wanted the poncho, so why didn’t I buy it, for example?

I keep sifting through my most recent sale buys to try to whittle down my keeping pile , but instead I’m finding I want to keep more things rather than less!
The Fracap Zoe sandals in black were initially a no , but retrying them I think I’ll regret returning, and they’re love.y.
Also this morning I managed to nab a size 8 sold out Market Check skirt from a company in Devon , so the matching shirt will likely be staying too. I did love wearing the Winter version , the Binding Check, and this Summer blue one is such lovely fabric.
I do feel hugely self indulgent but it’s been such a difficult year with serious family health problems , so I guess it’s a form of self care ……
Anyway , I need to list a whole lot of nice things from last year that haven’t worked out.

😹 @OftenOrange - I bought lots in the last sample sale, but I expect I have upset Toast with my multiple returns. I am expecting to be unceremoniously booted out of Kindred next month 😿

I feel a bit bad about all my orders too. Hopefully my final one will have something I'll keep. @IlovePond my kindred is up for renewal soon (end of the month is it?). If they base it on orders rather than keeps, we are both in with a chance - fingers crossed! I really regret the jackets I missed - both the cord and the right size linen cotton twill

Does anyone remember when Toast did their big sizing rejig? I have a very old Alda tee (from before they were called Alda) in size xs which is bigger than a striped one I ordered recently in size M. The old one is looking a bit shabby and worse for wear and I am trying to decide how old it might be to figure out if they don’t hold up that well (and I should return the striped one) or if it has given plenty of service and I should buy another in this colour and relegate this one to the yoga/gardening T-shirts pile. I looked through my orders and there is potentially something that could be it from 2019, but it wasn’t called Alda back then so I’m not sure.
