Please let us know how you get on with the pod @Thelifeofawife I quite fancy one, but am a bit concerned it might trigger my allergies, so would like to know how you find it.

Thanks

JoRaRaRa · 20/06/2026 13:31

@Thelifeofawife so funny that you'll bulk out your order to £100 to avoid p&p 🤣

I still have my green Harrods calendar from a few years ago. I might swap it over this year if I go for Harrods again and it's not green.

pinkchampagne1 · 20/06/2026 09:41

I am thinking that might be a photo of last year’s Harrods calendars. I am excited for the reveal. 😃

Me too 💃🏻😍🥳

I know a number of us love the Elizabeth Scarlett bags, the Christmas thread has a code QTA9K which takes 40% off on Bloom and Wild gifts and there are some ES bags included.
This one is down to £28.80

That’s a great offer! Have the Christmas threads started!? I’ve lost track.

There is a prequel thread at the moment - no idea how to link to it but it’s Christmas Prequel thread 1

Talisin · 20/06/2026 15:01

Christmas prequel thread here for anyone who wishes to get their very early Christmas thang on.

SheilaFentiman · 20/06/2026 15:02

That’s gorgeous @MrsBnow12 but I really don’t need another bag (give self a talking to!)

TragicMuse · 20/06/2026 15:29

I think I’m in need of some glowy stuff for my face! I have the tiny sample of the Barbara Sturm glow drops but they don’t seem to do much.

I think what I want is something like a glowy highlighter.

Help me, beauty friends! What do I need to add glow to my face?

Do you want to mix it in with moisturiser or apply a highlighter to your cheeks, etc?

I bought that bag for DD for her birthday a couple of months ago, it's great quality and that is a very good price!

Good question! Apply to specific places I think, like cheeks, or elsewhere.

TragicMuse · 20/06/2026 16:10

LightandBreezy · 20/06/2026 15:54

OH! I think I have that from a past box…

user593 · 20/06/2026 16:14

@TragicMuse An oldie but a goodie…

They also have a mini size of Champagne Pop…

I just bought Rose Quartz after having been a big Becca fan back in the day and had forgotten how beautiful it is!

The Lisa Eldridge Elevated Glow Highlighter (cream) is also really nice but more subtle.

I generally use the Saie Glowy supergel or Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter under foundation for that glow from within.

IDontHateRainbows · 20/06/2026 16:40

The Charlotte Tilbury cylindrical glowy foundation stick thing is good, its almost more a highlighter than a foundation.

I find anything glowy makes me look like the tin man but I can tolerate this.

LightandBreezy · 20/06/2026 16:53

@TragicMuse it's lovely, dig it out of the stash and give it a try! It's highlighter/primer/skin care combined, on a good skin day I use it instead of tinted moisturiser, but you can mix it with foundation too. It's quite subtle, you just look fresh ( I have a tendency to look 'tin man' with other highlighters like @IDontHateRainbows but you won't get that from this) I've use it as an all over thing rather than just on cheekbones etc, but you could try it like that too.

Thelifeofawife · 20/06/2026 17:26

@IlovePond I’ll let you know how I get on with the Neom pod. I’m just waiting for a delivery of the oil to use with it; annoyingly I had a couple of oils from previous BACs and sold them on!

@JoRaRaRa Too right, I bulked it out with approx £30 worth of stuff to avoid £5 p&p 😅

OvaHere · 20/06/2026 17:34

We've finally got round to making a start on the bedroom. I've spent a couple of hours searching for dressing tables. Finding it hard as I have a good idea of what I want but so many sites, with a bit of digging, turn out to be dodgy dropship sites. I'm not at all confident what is advertised is what will be delivered. Or if it is very low quality for quite a high price.

Standard dressers from Next or Furniture Village aren't really cutting it in terms of the storage I want.

First image (white) is from Amazon and current top contender mostly because it has real seeming customer reviews with home taken photos. It feels maybe a bit teenage though. I was hoping for something more sophisticated.

Other images are closer to what I had in mind but all seem to be from sites that are not reputable once you look into it closer.

If anyone has recommendations then please throw them my way.

Thanks beautiful friends! I shall investigate further - both stash and beyond. I will see if I have a Charlotte Tilbury highlighter wand…hadn’t thought of that!

I'm a huge fan of Glossier Futuredew for glory skin. I use it under foundation and last time I was on Sephora it was on sale.

Is it worth looking at some IKEA hacks and seeing if you can create something.
I really like this one

Thelifeofawife · 20/06/2026 18:32

@OvaHere They all look good. If you’re wanting something like the first photo but are unsure, you can make something very similar but specific to your own requirements using parts from IKEA.
I personally think the first photo looks good, I know what you mean about the teenage vibe but that’s just the style these days. You could always paint it/add some specific decoration to give it a different look

OvaHere · 20/06/2026 18:42

@MrsBnow12 @Thelifeofawife thanks. I probably need to take a trip to Ikea and see what I can find.

I like this one too. You can get a ton of great looking combinations on Amazon but run the risk of parts missing and no replacement. Plus vast majority will be MDF which will probably not be doing so well a couple of years in.

I might research custom made as well although that will be ££££.
