Also agree with the recommendations for amazon high waisted big knickers, I find them really comfy and they help hold me in a bit, giving a smoother silhouette.

I bought Shapermint vests, they are compressive but not constricting, I wore one all day around London on the Wednesday of easter week when it was 25° and I hate being too hot.
My overhang is much lower down and no amount of diet or excercise will ever shift it because it’s loose skin from pregnancy. The SM vests come down over your hips and you don’t need a bra with them. You pull them on upwards to get the flattening effect so getting back into position after going to the loo takes effort. It had the added benefit of supporting my hips and lower back too, I did 15k steps that day with no backache, which is a miracle.

Do you understand that once your muscles have separated sometimes they don’t re knit, and in fact you can make the gap bigger by exercising them? Do you understand that skin stretches to accommodate pregnancy and no amount of dieting will make it spring back and behave like skin that hasn’t been stretched in that way?

What a horrible post you chose to spend time composing. No hat or wig will distract from your nastiness.

But sometimes stomach muscles do reknit. For a lot of women skin does retract after pregnancy and weight loss. If you want to sit on your butt bemoaning your fate, and not take initiative through diet and exercise to make change that’s your choice. Don’t tar every woman with your experience.

Sadly my stomach hasn't improved with my pregnancies and I dead lift 120kg weekly and do pull ups, but muscle strength has declined with menopause. I walk to work as well as spend 50% operating, but apparently I'm lazy and don't count calories

Looking at your photo your body is my body basically and yes I too have found it incredibly hard to shift this. It's a combo of post-pregnancy loose skin, being a bit overweight, and also cortisol weight gain round the middle.

Shapewear helps, and like a pp has said looser dresses/tunic tops skim over it a bit better.
Ive also found that massively cutting back on sugar, bread and processed foods has helped just a teeny tiny bit. Also drinking plenty of water to reduce the impact of bloating which again doesn't help!

Definitely go for a big pants underwear. Soft control is comfortable. You look like a very similar shape to me. I go for "feel good, look good" attitude so gentle control big pants, then clothes fall really nicely.

Don't go for oversize because (by the looks of it) you're not oversized. Take time to go and try things on. Simplify your wardobe. Get rid of anything that you don't like.

The only colours for underwear is (1) black and (2) flesh coloured. Smooth texture. Also a short length slip goes a long way for streamlining your look.

Yes it's so annoying as I'm a genuine size 12. Everything fits as normal just the belly which I can't get right. Everyone says legs, arms, face etc the same, boobs and belly are huge now. I'm also 5 foot and 5 babies

I think it’s worth looking at empire line. I’ve always stuck to the rule, no matter what size I am, that I accentuate the smallest part of my torso, sometimes that’s been ribs and other times waist. But when I was struggling with a tummy it was empire line strappy tops that stopped just past my hip, with trousers that were slim on the thigh and more bootcut with heels, flared with trainers and slim fit to the ankle with ballet pumps. And a thin knit cardigan if needed or duster style coat sometimes. Wearing the same colour top and trousers made it cohesive and I’d wear a different colour cardigan/ shoes & bag for interest.

this can work with any look and season really, like for summer babydoll dresses over cropped leggings and a wedge heel with a short sleeve cardigan, little cropped boleros were my best friend because the line was at underbust level. Drawing the eye up is helpful so a chunky necklace can help. I think sometimes it’s helpful with sleeves to make sure they stop above or below the area you want to hide. If you have the sleeve line stopping exactly where your stomach is, the eye is drawn to it rather than away

I've been following this thread with intesterest, and whilst I understand that you have asked for style advice, you are coming across as belligerent and defensive. If you're lifting weights (as I do) then program in a cut. I've been guilty of underestimating my fat mass in the past. You can't get rid of your overhang and back fat without dieting.

You could try that Thinkshape app, which takes all your measurements and then gives you general tips on styles to flatter.

(It wasn't massively clear from your first post that you were kbly cooking for clothing ideas)

Just be warned, I have exactly your shape and all the compression wear makes me feel like my internal organs are being squeezed for their dear life 😂

I find dresses that are thick material that skim over the area are the best - like hang from your boobs - work best. Or the ones that give you a fake waist above the overhang bit if that makes sense

then high waisted trousers that keep the overhang in…

Some people like to focus on their baby and the diet aspect takes a back seat till they are ready.

OP has been given excellent advice - get a bra that fits properly, big, armpit huggers, containers, Harvest festival gathers them all in safely knickers that fit, slips and tights that pull up properly. Not shapewear. Get that right and anything put on top will look a whole lot better.

Her underwear doesn't fit and even if she thinks the knickers she's wearing are the right size, knickers that stop below the underhang will emphasise it.

I don't think she wants to hear that, but it's true.

OP I have a bmi of 19 exactly and lift weights, and my belly is worse than yours.

I wear tops and skirts. I usually can’t wear dresses with a waist at all, and most do have a seam there. Occasionally shops will make a genuine a line swing dress which I can wear.

Strangely though, I found this dress recently which doesn’t cling to my stomach or boobs at all and will help me this summer! There is one in a 12!

If you're diabetic, has anyone suggested you have a body composition assessment? That way you can be sure of your visceral fat, your muscle quantity and everything else.

If you're post menopausal now, have you been living with this 'pouch' for years and years?

No it doesn't. Big knickers, slips and tights that you pull right up make a huge difference in the appearance of clothes.

I agree you need proper fitting knickers, that will help loads.

Wiirapa pants not the micro fibre ones are pretty good. They are firm control but they are not shaoewear so you don’t get the redistribution problem
and are very good for daily wear. It doesn’t solve it but i feel more contained
