What is your fav perfume and which one have you received the most compliments?

I have used Alien by Thierry Mugler and get a lot of compliments when I use that perfume. I am currently wearing Kenzo and just received one compliment.

I can tell you which one I love but have only ever had comments like "Someone's been cleaning!" or worse - a relative saying I smell like their hotel cleaning products...

fuming considering the cost of it! To be fair, these comments are usually followed up by "No, it's nice. Fresh!" But I don't want to smell like a hotel lift or have that be the first thought that people get from me 🙈

Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc.

I used to love Rive Gauche back in the 1990s. Bought a bottle 2 or 3 years ago and OMFG it stank. WTF did they do to it? Why are perfume makers hell bent on reformulating beautiful fragrances and completely ruining them?

Mumbai Noise by Byredo is my absolute favourite and is “my” scent. I do get compliments on that as it is amazing. I also love samsara, shalimar, coco, commodity book and underneath the stars and jazz club by Maison margiela Replica.
I love the smell of their Beach Walk too but it lasts about 20 seconds on me.

Lost cherry but its a dupe cause im a povvo. Still get compliments 😂 i pair with super drug cherry almond body wash i think it was about 80p last time I stocked up!

I adore this too & also use the hair mist as perfume for day & the proper peefume for night. It regularly gets compliments too!

Traditional Chanel No 5 for me, although I always have Amarige (Givenchy) and Paris (YSL) on the dressing table too..
My current daily wear is either Fragonard Figuier Fleur, which is now discontinued, or Roger et Gallet’s Fleur de Figuier… both very similar 🙄

Anything by Tom Ford especially black orchid but I love a good strong sultry fragrance but they are not everyone’s cuppa . La vie est belle for something daytime

We have the same taste in perfumes! Someone walked past me yesterday wearing Chloe, I nearly chased after her to tell her she smelled lovely!

My SIL has ‘The Essence Vault’ Creed Love in White dupe. She also has the original and says the dupe is amazing. I’m extremely sensitive to perfumes and even I can wear it, so much so, I’ve ordered some for myself.

White Tea by Elizabeth Arden. Loved it for years. Get many compliments when I wear it.

Insolence by guerlain for compliments but my fave is shalimar or the old samsara. There was a talcum musky rose by miller and Harris maybe a decade ago which was sublime, but I think it was a limited edition for m and s. I bought a miller and Harris taster/tester set which included lumierre doree and others hoping to find something similar but none of them did much for me.
intrigued by the Zara london that has cropped up here.

I got a sample of Cedar Chic by Carolina Herrera, and it is stunning. Advertised as the fragrance equivalent of a crisp white shirt. But there’s a great dupe by Bujairami and I honestly can’t tell them apart, so I wear that all the time now!

I notice this too. A few people I know can smell it instantly. Others not at all. They all describe it differently. I really like wearing it.

My most complimented is Lidls suddenly glamour (or something like that - Chanel Mademoiselle dupe)

I wear lots of different scents, and this is the only one that whenever I wear it, someone will stop me and ask what I’m wearing because it smells so lovely and fresh.
Never get that when I’m wearing Chanel 🤣
