Morning
I wash face in shower with African black soap (had a bad skin condition a few years back and thus was the only thing that cleared it so now scared to stop using it!) then collagen serum (currently Aldi , but not sure how good it is) then simple spf moisturiser under makeup.

Bedtime
Wash face with Elemis cleansing balm
REN eye cream
Collagen serum
Nivea q10 wrinkle cream on forehead
Loreal firming night cream.

I should look 21 but I don’t 😂

I just cleanse with micellar water and put on night cream every night. Works for me. I'm 48 and I think my skin is pretty good and smooth , but that's partially genetics (my mum didn't get notable wrinkles until quite far along the line) and partially that I keep out of the sun.

I tend to use some sort of foaming cleanser in the shower in the morning, mainly just to wake myself up a bit, but also to remove any leftover makeup

BeigeBanana · 07/04/2026 19:44

Am - single cleanse, vit c and niacinamide serum, oil free moisturiser and spf
Pm - double cleanse, retinol or exfoliating acid, moisturiser

Snowie99 · 07/04/2026 19:46

Wash face with Aqueous cream and moisturise with Nivea night and morning. I probably should do more

curiousbyprocess0614 · 07/04/2026 22:49

As for me usually, morning = a gentle cleanser, a light moisturizer, and SPF. At night = cleanse again, and then a moisturizer, I add a retinoid just few nights a week.

Primrose86 · 07/04/2026 22:58

Cleansing oil/balm (currently muji cleansing balm but will use anything) at night to remove makeup
Cosrx snail mucin essence 2 X a day (morning and post bath)
Carrot oil ditto
Spf serum in the morning

Aha solution v rarely if skin feels congested. Weleda skinfood/aveeno lotion if skin is dry.

I am 33, people tell me i look young for my age.

CarlaLemarchant · 07/04/2026 23:06

Morning- shower, Medik8 vit c serum, Clinique or Olay moisturiser with spf in
Evening- Clinique cleansing balm, medik8 retinol and an Elemis moisturiser. When I’m too tired to bother, I just use miscellar water and moisturiser.

My skin is in decent condition but still got lines. Not convinced the brands and various added steps are worth it beyond cleanse and moisturise tbh.

loosethepounds · 07/04/2026 23:09

Morning
Elmis cleansing balm. Removed with a hot flannel in the shower.
Cetaphil serum. Then leave 5 minutes before using
Cetaphil moisturiser.
SPF.
Trying to find a good primer.
Makeup.

Evening
Elmis cleansing balm
Cetaphil moisturiser.
Thinking I need an eye cream.

GameOfJones · 08/04/2026 08:06

Morning

Cleanse - any cheap micellar water

Serum - Vitamin C one from Garnier

SPF - L'Oréal for every day or Ultra Violette Queen Screen for glow if I'll be wearing make-up

Evening

Cleanse - currently using one from Rituals and a hot flannel. I'll remove the majority of my make-up first with micellar water if I've been wearing it, then cleanse my face properly.

Toner - alternating an acid toner with a milky toner on separate evenings

Serum - Nivea Bakuchiol

Moisturise - Nivea organic rose cream

I'm 38 and pleased with my skin. No visible wrinkles (although I'm oily which I think helps) and the vitamin C seems to have given me more glow.

Eyesopenwideawake · 08/04/2026 08:08

Wash it when I have a shower.

Moisturise when I remember.

ETA. What's the difference between clean and cleanse??

1000StrawberryLollies · 08/04/2026 08:16

Morning: CeraVe face wash and Aldi Caviar day cream.
Night: Cleansing lotion/balm (often from TKMax - most recent was a lovely Payot one), CeraVe face wash, Aldi Caviar night cream.

mushmallow · 08/04/2026 08:18

Am - simple face wash / nip & fab vitamin c
pm - nip & fab ceramide cream / peptide oil

RosesAndHellebores · 08/04/2026 08:24

Clinique take off the day and warm flannel; rinse flannel and use again.

Estee advanced night eye gel
Estee night cream

Warm flannel
Estee Day Cream

65 - wrinkle free relatively.

I only started this regime about three years ago, previously used No7 3 in 1 wipes until they were discontinued and before that eye make-up remover and soap and water.

I think it's largely genetic. Have never been spotty and it's neither dry nor greasy. Mother is 89 and her skin is in good nick, no 11's or forehead lines.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 08/04/2026 08:26

Morning - cleanse, vitamin c serum, moisturiser, SPF
Evening - cleanse, toner, either retinol serum or collagen serum (alternate days), night cream

Have only been doing this a few months, never used to bother before that but my skin was looking saggy and dry (I’m peri menopausal) and it’s definitely improved massively since starting this new routine.

BrassOlive · 08/04/2026 08:54

Morning:

Warm water and a flannel
Beauty of Josen SPF 50
I sometimes also use a pump of cheap moisturiser (before SPF) if I'm feeling extra dehydrated, usually Superdrug's own which are excellent for the price point.

Evening
I use various different cleansers, usually oil based, again with warm water and a flannel

Prescription tretinoin (the big guns!)

Katypp · 08/04/2026 09:02

Can i ask what is the purpose of serum? It seems everyone uses it now but i am still unsure where it fits into a skincare regime. Mine is:
AM
Eco Warrier facial cleansing bar, Neal's Yard rose toner, NY day cream
PM
NY eyw makeup remover, Upcircle cleansing balm, NY orange flower cleanser, NY toner, NY night cream.

I think i need to get with the programme re serum and sunscreen.

BeigeBanana · 08/04/2026 12:15

I think serum is just a vehicle to deliver actives eg exfoliating acids antioxidants, retinol etc. usually lighter than moisturiser and can be layered.

BerlinBlonde · 08/04/2026 12:42

Am. Just water usually and moisturiser with SPF.
PM. Remove eye make up with Nivea eye make up remover (I wear waterproof mascara), cleanse with Nivea sensitive cream cleanser, remove with a warm face flannel. Usually moisturise but if I've got a few spots I don't as it can make them worse. Eye cream, REN because it doesn't make my eyes stream.

Galadali · 08/04/2026 12:50

AM Peptide serum, vit c serum, eye cream, moisturiser. SPF.
PM Balm cleanser, water based cleanser, rose water spritz, retinal/azelaic acid alternate days, eye cream, night cream.
I have a few serums that I use when I think to do so.
I'm 56, post meno, and my skin is amazing after 40+ years of breakouts and rosacea.

TottenhamCake · 08/04/2026 12:52

Morning and night I use cetaphil to wash my face and then literally smother it in epiderm as I’ve got a bad eczema flare up at the moment. My skin can’t seem to tolerate anything else.

pollydollydoodlealltheway · 08/04/2026 13:06

@Katyppim not sure what age you are but the younger you start daily using spf the better in the long term. Lots of moisturisers now include an spf which makes it easier

OP posts:
PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 08/04/2026 13:09

PM:

cleansing balm to remove sunscreen and makeup
cleansing (using unscented Cetaphil cleanser)
retinol
moisturiser (sometimes cicaplast repair balm in addition)
lanolin lip balm (which is technically nipple cream 😂. A professional MUA recommended this for me and it’s fantastic imo)

AM:

wash face with water
apply moisturiser if face feel dry or patchy
apply spf 50 (the moisturising one by LRP)

these are my staples. I sometimes to add in something an eye serum, a peptide serum or similar but I can’t seem to make it stick. The above I’ve managed to stick to for the last couple of years, however.

I have very sensitive eyes and my skin can be a bit temperamental (the eyes are however the main issue for me).

madosaurus · 08/04/2026 13:12

Morning: cold water splash, Nivea or my friends’s handmade moisturiser when I have some.
Evening: er…

I’ve got great skin due to genetics so I can get away with it.

Starlight1979 · 08/04/2026 13:17

Morning -
Cerave cleanser (SA)
Elemis apricot toner
Cosrx Snail Mucin
UpCircle moisturiser and eye cream

Evening -
Elemis or Clinique cleansing balm
Cerave cleanser (normal foaming)
Elemis apricot toner
EA ceramide capsule
Liz Earle night cream
Kiehls avocado eye cream

Pldafa · 08/04/2026 13:20

I’m almost 50. I do nothing at all. Wash face in shower with baby soap. No skincare and no makeup.

My age is frequently mistaken for 10 years younger. I am average-below average in terms of prettiness, average skin. Bit of lard on me which plumps my face, avoiding wrinkles.

I cannot fathom, biologically, how a creature (human) needs all this kind of stuff routinely. I can accept that if you get a skin problem, you try and solve it and that could involve products. But otherwise, the entire industry is a multi billion dollar heap of gaslighting and fakery.

SirChenjins · 08/04/2026 13:23

Morning - facial scrub in shower, Aldi day cream with SPF.

Night - swipe with a wipe. Aldi night cream.

I'm what's known as low maintenance! Skin looks pretty decent though, if I do say so myself. Late fifties, few wrinkles, even skin tone. I think I've just been lucky with the skin genes.
