Morning
I wash face in shower with African black soap (had a bad skin condition a few years back and thus was the only thing that cleared it so now scared to stop using it!) then collagen serum (currently Aldi , but not sure how good it is) then simple spf moisturiser under makeup.

Bedtime
Wash face with Elemis cleansing balm
REN eye cream
Collagen serum
Nivea q10 wrinkle cream on forehead
Loreal firming night cream.

I should look 21 but I don’t 😂

51, dry dehydrated skin, trying to tackle uneven skin tone, puffy eyes and a loss of firmness...

Morning

Rinse with water, pat dry, The Ordinary Caffeine eye serum (definitely improving eyes), The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin (every other day; on my first bottle so unsure whether it is working), Numbuzin NAD+ Bio Lifting Essence (love), Paula's Choice Peptide Moisturiser (a gift, jury still out), Beauty of Joseon sunscreen (without fail)

Night

Wash with Arencia rice mochi cleansing balm (love the feel of this), second cleanse with Naturium Niacinamide Cleansing Gelee (think this is good for my skin, but I could probably replace it something else), The Ordinary Caffeine eye serum, Biossance Squalane Oil (lovely for my dry skin).

I stopped retinol a few months ago after a new one caused havoc. Will be looking to get back into that.

I like K beauty as I think they are ahead of the game while being affordable. I have to say my skin is definitely improving.

am - cleanse with a rinse off cleanser, vitamin C serum, day cream with SPF
pm - cleanse with a balm or oil cleanser, retinol, night cream

I spend most on my serums (Medik8 and Skinceuticals), the rest is usually stuff like Beauty of Joseon or CeraVe.

JulietteHasAGun · 10/04/2026 07:06

@SaltyandSweet does the eye serum help improve dark circles or is it more just texture/puffiness it works on?

I am at the end of my first bottle (lasts ages as you use one tiny dot for both eyes) and have definitely seen a result with the puffiness. Steadily decreasing. Am still on the fence if it is helping with the dark circles, sometimes I think yes but that could also be the other things (like the alpha arbutin) that I am using.

After years and years of trying different things, I am caught between 2 brands; Medik8 and Creme de La Mer. I know these are very expensive brands, but my spends on everything else is really low, and I can see that looking after my skin over many years has really paid off for me.

AM
Wash face: Whatever I have accumulated e.g. Creme de la mer face wash, Biotin face wash, Elemis balm
Elemis resurfacing face pad - once or twice a week
Medik8 glow toner
Medik8 hydrating serum (about to switch to vitamin c)
Medik8 face cream (about to switch to vitamin c)
La Mer eye cream
SPF

PM
Wash face
Tret every other night on face, neck and chest (if got lots to use up)
Face cream (La Mer)

I do have, but have got out of the habit of, doing Nuface and I have an LED mask. I have not done it for months, but did notice a difference when I did.

Micro current and radio frequency facial every 6 weeks, and yoga facial every 6 weeks.

Am - shower, serum (working through stockpile of Glossybox), moisturiser with spf. I'm back to using Revolution Pro miracle cream now that there's an spf 30 option

Pm - CeraVe face wash, pro miracle night serum and night cream. I've always used a night cream but my skin was still really dry before I switched to the Revolution night products, they've made such a difference

Pitstopperils · 10/04/2026 20:31

I've been using Korean skincare for about 10 years now. I'm 56, & the beautician who does my eyebrows always says my skin is amazing.
Morning routine:since with warm water, Cosrx The Six Skin Peptide Booster, Anua Heartleaf toner, either Iunik Beta Glucan serum or VT PDRN Essence (depends on how my skin feels), S Nature Squalane moisturiser & Skin1004 SPF50.
Night Routine - BePlain Mung Bean oil cleanser, Rovectin Gentle Cleansing Gel, VT Reedle shot 50, Ma:nyo Galactomy toner (sometimes 2 layers), Iunik Beta Glucan serum or Hue Supra Fade (twice a week), either S Nature moisturiser or Iunik Beta Glucan moisturiser. My skin is very reactive, so no retinol or vitamin C and nothing with added fragrance.

Nothing. Never. People always said my whole life i had good skin. Then one day after having my son I developed psoriasis out of no where (not face although suddently sensitive. So absolutely no skin routine now other than moisturisers and steroid creams

IDontHateRainbows · 10/04/2026 20:52

Erm, mine is sporadic. I have an entire load of stuff in my drawers and every now and then I’ll do stuff to my face but I went way overboard a few years back (went all in with great gusto) and really fucked my skin barrier so now I tend to err on the side of caution and do nothing most of the time.
Fortunately I do have very clear even skin, people say I look youthful for my age and I don’t have wrinkles. I’m thanking good genetics though as I don’t really believe the majority of skincare really does anything - just clever marketing to make us believe we need to buy things (and I fell for it and have drawers of things to prove it, my skin looks fine now just as it did before I started meddling!). I do however believe in the self care aspect of having a skincare routine, every now and then I really enjoy pampering myself and I feel great about doing it.

mrsCtheRed · 10/04/2026 21:19

AM - garnier micellar water to wake me up a bit, followed by Byoma spf 30 gel moisturiser.
PM- whatever face wash I've got in the shower, then Tropic skin dream moisturiser.

I've always been very low maintenance with skincare, and at the age of 48 don't have a single wrinkle or line. But I think that's probably genetic, my Mum didn't have any wrinkles when she died at 70 🤷🏽‍♀️

PhaedraTwo · 10/04/2026 21:27

Morning wash with Clinique liquid facial soap and water, apply Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser. Evening wash with Clinique liquid facial soap and water, apply Nivea blue tub moisturiser.

Lifeomars · 10/04/2026 21:29

Morning use a wash off cleanser, currently Elemis and then moisturise with whatever I have got on the go, this is a Liz Earle one which promises to make me glow, have not noticed any difference. Adding a sunscreen at the moment because the sun is out, I know you should use one all year round but i can't remember unless the sun is actually beaming down.

Evening I cleanse with whatever I am currently using which is an Aldi one at the moment and then I use a toner if I remember. Put some No 7 night cream on, it was in a gift set I got for Christmas. Don't often bother with eye cream as I have hardly any lines round my eyes which is down to genetics

I am old and I look old, very few lines but my jaw line is soft and saggy and my neck has started to go (I wish it would come back from wherever it is heading!) . Sometimes I wonder why I bother but then I wonder if i would look even worse if I didn't. I have high cheekbones which does help to hold up the top part of my face and never being a smoker may have helped to keep the lines at bay.

PippaToryFripp · 10/04/2026 21:40

Soap and water, Aldi caviar day/night cream

ImGoneUnderground · 11/04/2026 01:19

Mornings - in shower, Dove soap, & Elizabeth Arden Prevage scrub.
Day time - Aveeno face cream. Bobbi Brown face base, maybe Bobbi Brown eye cream.
Night - Depends on how much make up - Dove soap to remove make up, Simple face wipes & Simple eye make up remover. Prevage scrub. Estee Lauder night serum, Aveeno moisturiser, Elizabeth Arden serum. Plus take vitamin C. AND always use the same on neck / décolleté. (I am over 60 & my pharmacist recently asked me to confirm my age as he thought I didn't qualify for free prescriptions, lol). But - different stuff works for different people.
