Elemis cleansing balm alternative

I fell in love with this cleanser but unfortunately not the price tag and I’ve nearly finished my current one. Is it really worth the money or am I missing out on a good dupe?

I have a cheaper cleansing balm but it just doesn’t bring me the same joy when I use it. Maybe it’s the fragrance doesn’t feel as luxurious a product.

Or I saw the Elemis cleansing butter is slightly better priced. Is this worth a try?

I really think it’s worth the price, sorry OP!

QVC usually have some offers on Elemis.

REDB99 · 15/02/2026 22:04

I much prefer the Clinique version, not sure it’s that much cheaper mind.

AlllPanicNoDisco · 15/02/2026 22:05

The Bondi Sands one is pretty decent. Yet to find one that compares to Elemis though unfortunately

jomaIone · 15/02/2026 22:06

No7 cleansing balm is really lovely!

Jamesblonde2 · 15/02/2026 22:06

M&S have a good one, apothecary revive.

Wallaroo21 · 15/02/2026 22:09

Hm I was afraid of that, has anyone tried the cleansing butter version? I’m not to sure what the difference is!

The ones I've tried that I like are Elemis, No 7, M&S and the Aldi dupe. I've tried others I don't like at all.

Honestly? I don't think there is enough of a difference between Elemis and the others I like to justify the price.

theoneandonlyhydro · 15/02/2026 22:15

I have tried the Aldil dupe and really happy with it. Fraction of the elemis cost and I really like the lightly scented rose one

Morecoffeethanks · 15/02/2026 22:18

The butter is a completely different texture- more like that of a face cream. I quite liked it but it doesn’t have the glorious scent of the balm and the melting texture.

Wallaroo21 · 15/02/2026 22:18

Oh I was just in an Aldi today, there’s not one close to me. Is it a one off or regularly there?

It's a special so not always there.

Nightlight8 · 15/02/2026 22:23

ELF do one give it a go.

FredaMountfitchet · 15/02/2026 22:27

No7 one - it’s good
Think it costs around £12 but often on a 3 for 2 offer .

QVC have a set of the balm and the day cream for £42 which I think is definitely worth it at £21 each the day cream is lovely too

My local Aldi hasn't stocked it for at least 3 months.

QVC are no good to me since brexit as I would have to pay imporr tariffs/taxes.

NCfor24 · 15/02/2026 22:37

My Aldi has the rose cleansing balm all the time I think. It's really nice imo but I've not tried the Elemis one. I also like the Give Me Cosmetics balm and the Clinique one.

JamMakingWannaBe · 15/02/2026 22:38

My Aldi had the rose, and the moringa one, about two weeks ago - not in the middle aisle - in the beauty/shampoo section. I'm hoping they still have stock when I pop back this week.

Wallaroo21 · 15/02/2026 22:53

Hm maybe I’ll have to give in after all with the proper one and look out for the Aldi one next time I’m there!

There's a FB page for reselling QVC stuff new (QVCsell - we (heart) QVC) It always has cleansing balm on there (although you have to be quick). Everything has set fair prices and 50g of cleansing balm is £9. You have to pay through PayPal goods and services and postage but I never buy from anywhere else now.

TheChosenTwo · 15/02/2026 23:02

I’ve got to say if you’re making cut backs cleanser is one of the steps I’d recommend going cheaper, it’s on your face to be washed straight back off again!
However I’m in love with the dermalogica pre cleanse oil and always repurchase it despite knowing it’s technically such a waste of money 🫠 I just really like the smell…

Absolutely adore Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm ❤️

ParkingNightmares · 15/02/2026 23:08

Emma Hardie cleansing balm is fab, prefer it to the Elemis one
