Too white for a wedding guest dress?

I have my eye on this for a spring wedding. I love prints, it’s silk and is in the sale - perfect combination.

However, I showed it to my mother and she said “But it’s white!” in a horrified way. I was bewildered. I don’t believe most people’s first thought on looking at this would be “white”. To me, it’s all about the print - and in any case, the background looks more cream to me.

I love it, but not for the first time, my mother has created a nagging doubt. Would anyone really think I was trying to look remotely bridal in this?

I think it’s a perfect wedding guest dress . Nobody is going to mistake you for the bride unless it’s a registry office wedding and the bride isn’t in wedding gown .
when my DD got married her cousin was her chief bridesmaid and wore an actual two piece ivory wedding dress . It was quite simple in style and my daughter wore a meringue type wedding dress. No one mistook the bridesmaid for the bride unless. Everyone was quite certain whose wedding it was. Cousin was also next to DD on all the photos and DD was happy that she was dressed as she was .

Well I love it ,have been looking for a sleeved MOB dress for me . Just sent the photo to my daughter whose the bride and she said it’s gorgeous , def not too white in her opinion
