Brands you think of as tacky

Lighthearted! Was chatting to some ladies at a group I attend and they were talking about fashion brands that is seen is tacky and trashy, superdry, Tommy Hilfiger, juicy couture, Adanola etc. do you agree with this? FWIW I do wear hilfiger jeans the odd time but seem to live in adanola as I find it nice fitting for my shape and very comfortable and never thought the brands as tacky per se but now I’m a bit paranoid, not that I care too much but nobody wants to appear tacky let’s be honest

It's for people who like to look really shiny.

North face. Jack & jones. Bloody chav all black tracksuits. In fact tracksuits should only be worn on the field.

Gosh, I am way behind. I thought "temu", primark, and possibly sports clothes whatever brand.

But I think maybe I'm missing out on the whole demographic of people who wear this stuff.

Anything with a visible brand label, or recognisable as “designer.” They’re not; they’re mass-produced and over priced.

I have a Regatta x Orla Kiely dryrobe-esque coat and I won't part with it. Nothing else keeps me dry on Saturday and Sunday mornings watching DS play football in sideways rain.

I am going to an actual stadium football match tomorrow though and I shall be wearing a parka because the dryrobe would take up half of each seat on either side of me.

...am I still dry robe winker if my dry robe has no logo on it...I never go swimming...but I live on the coast and my dog and I are on the beach every day? Bought it because its always freezing, wet and windy at the beach in autumn winter and spring...never wear it in summer.

I actually think places like primark, new look etc have moved away from their tacky image. People just go there for good value clothes.

Not at all. Lots of expensive things can look tasteless and tacky. Even Dolly Parton admitted that it took a lot of money for her to look that cheap.

Anything that has brands printed across them is tacky past a certain age.
Why do we need to shout to everyone look at me I spent all this money on my clothes bags shoes jackets car whatever ... its all tacky.. I'm not one bit impressed by any of it .
