DD is 9 and came home from a party at the weekend talking about Plouise lip balms. I googled thinking I might get her some as her lips are very dry in winter but Confused they all say bad bitch on them? Shes 9! And judging by the pictures online of the Plouise Empire (ie the shop) she’s actually on the older end of their target demographic.

I feel very old.

I was in Manchester one day, I think it was around Christmas last year maybe , and I kept seeing women and daughters carrying these massive decorative boxes everywhere. It was some sort of P Louise event, and it was just crazy, crowds and crowds of people.
My teen daughter absolutely loves it , but it’s not so much the products as the ‘lifestyle’ promoted , which as I can understand is some sort of insta/ teenpreneur thing? Lots of ‘aspirational’ motivational money talk offering an alternative to the school/ uni career route or something? 🙈🙈

The brand has unfortunately gone down a very tacky route. Throwing parties for children that shouldn't even be on tik tok, whatever the hell pinkmas was it's no longer a respectable brand. Years ago as a beauty student the eyeshadow base was a popular choice I'm surprised at how they've chosen to aim at pre teens. Eventually kids lose interest and the original consumer feels like it's too childish

I still have a palette from them I really like but I can't see myself purchasing anything again I'm not comfortable with make up targeted at children

Plouise make up is crap! Any adult who thinks this is decent stuff needs to give their head a wobble! Its make up for tweens and teenagers! Even my 21 year old dd won’t use it.

I’m clearly very old as I thought Plouise was someone’s name that you were commenting on.

I thought it was a baby name thread!

Never heard of the brand but from what I've read its disgusting

Not a chance would I have allowed either of my dds near it so young

My 16 year old is not interested. Shed rather buy shein (another story) but thinks that's overpriced. My friends daughter has been into it since y5. Apart from the Bad Bitch stuff I think a bundle called "send me nudes" is very inappropriate

The 12 year olds birthday party that they were part of was wrong on so many levels.
I’ve seen lots of rubbish on TikTok but this was really disturbing
