Closed toe summer shoes

So I have summer dresses (mostly midi) that I started wearing last summer but I am struggling with shoes to wear with them. I don’t wear open toed shoes and need a shoe that covers about an inch above the toes (so ballet flats don’t work). I’m happy to wear with a trainer at times but was hoping for a more summery look

last year I had menorcan sandals but they are a bit too flat - my calves are fat so I need a bit more heel or a shoe that makes my leg look longer! espadrilles don’t work because of the straps up the leg

I like them in the pink!

Yes it's a really nice warm coral shade - not remotely Barbie sugary bubblegum pink, which I loathe!!!

Get them AND the green ones - honestly, they'll lift your spirits on a grey summer day! We get quite a few of those here in Scotland ...

These green ones are nice too. They come with ribbons & straps, which is clever.

Women's espadrilles wedge 7 cm. FRIDA green canvas

Sun, beach plans, being able to enjoy an ice cream, the sweltering sun... And beautiful espadrilles of all colors and for all tastes. In Luisa Toledo we have them!

I really like the green Brora or the green Jones but have 2 dresses similar colour

I might try the jones one but not sure I’ll be able to walk without more support on the foot - and they are a bit PoW

Been racking my brain trying to guess what PoW stands for, but I give up!

Predatory Older Woman? Pissed Off Woman? Piece of Work? That's all that Google offers up!!!

Princess of Wales!!!

Oh of course!!! Afraid I don't pay much heed to them, or her clothes, so it wasn't the first thing that came to mind!!

She dresses beautifully. I don't think she always gets it right, but she does most of the time. The DoE does too.

Style-wise, my favourite royal is Princess Anne, she seems to have her own style. Lady Sarah Chatto always seems perfectly dressed in an unshowy way.

I must confess I only see photos in passing so couldn’t comment but have noticed that PoW likes her sling back wedges!

They're an example of when she doesn't get it right.

I am a fan of a summer suede loafer. I have these in a couple of colours https://www.moshulu.co.uk/classic-suede-penny-loafers-p62#attribute%5B1%5D=41

Just received these in tan and they are keepers!!

so I’ve hit the about town but smarter than trainers!

still tempted by the NZ ones and a pair of wedges

That’s brilliant! I hope you have happy feet this spring and summer.
