Silk dress for daughters wedding

I am 5ft 4 and 10.5 stone. I am really not very stylish but want something spectacular for my daughter’s wedding in a hot country. I have recently lost weight and will lose more beforehand i will be around 10stone hopefully. I don’t mind what the cost is as I am quite frugal usually. I would love something in bright colours and maybe for example raw silk. But open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance. Xx

I have this in dark green and it's absolutely beautiful- the fit is perfect. I'm slightly taller than you but the same weight.

Where in the country are you? My daughter got married on December and I had a wonderful silk dress made to measure.

I will be honest. I really don’t like these liberty prints. I am mid 60s but still feel quite young, I’d like something in single colour in nice material and not too long.

This is absolutely gorgeous. If i wanted to be a stand out mother of bride this is it!! I love it. But i want to blend into background, but thank you. I love it!!!!

What part of this country do you live in, there’s shops in places like Leicester who measure you and the dresses are custom made in India then back to the uk for final fitting, means they are more affordable than a uk made dress. I had one made a few years back for £150, I’ve moved away so don’t remember the name of the shop. I’m sure there’s similar in other larger cities.

Times like this you miss Anderson and Mcauley for a look around! A trip to Arnotts in Dublin might throw up ideas.
