The DS and Durga consultant told me he had a collection of 900 fragrances. No, thats not a typo. I dont know if they were all full bottles. I thought I was obsessed!

Wow! He clearly has a problem. 🤣
That's a lot! Although tbf he's more organised than me to know how many he has. I daren't count. 🤪

I think I've found a new love. 21:50 Reverie by Victoria Beckham. I randomly picked this as a sample when I bought an eyeshadow not knowing any of the notes.

It's completely my sort of powdery vanilla perfume and the tobacco note gives it a slight edge. It's still soft and subtle enough that you could wear it to the office though.

Is it a bit too similar to some other powdery scents I own? Yes probably. Am I scouring eBay and Vinted as we speak? Yes I am.

Have you tried Thameen Bravi? It was in the Liberty summer 2024 scent kit. It’s exactly this description.

Morning ladies. Sounds like u a lovely time yesterday @IDontHateRainbows. Weirdly woke up today wanting lemon fragrance in my life i do have under the lemon tree nut any other suggestions very welcome. As is my way of choosing u put my hand into my basket of sapmples/minis and pulled out Kayali Eden Juicy Apple not quite the vibe I woke up with but its fruity so close enough I guess

IDontHateRainbows · 11/02/2026 14:30

Valaya today. Been telling everyone in the office about my perfume adventures. Especially Liberty trying to force-feed me champagne (not that they had to try that hard).

I do wonder how many times they use the champagne trick and it works. Backfired this time as yes I did lose my inhibitions and buy more perfume than intended, but not with them... I went back to Covent Garden.

I don’t know @IDontHateRainbows it tempted me…..so maybe word of mouth is enough? 1/3 probably is a ok return.

SOTD star confidence Charlotte Tilbury. I hate CT generally but like this. Inoffensive and sweet Glad I didn’t buy a travel size though - I won’t pine for it when the sample is done. I am adopting the pot luck sample approach!

It's a nice problem to have to be fair.

I reckon I have over 100 now. I have 4 of the little organisers from Amazon which hold around 20 each. Plus around 10 full bottles. Plus the limbo draw of unopened ones, around 15.

I daren’t count mine but I do need to get my butt in gear and list the ones I don’t want.

I really like the strawberry perfume at the moment. It’s lovely sprayed on linens, I can smell it more when I’m not wearing it

IDontHateRainbows · 11/02/2026 20:42

Sote, pdm Palatine. Lovely light violetty floral.

Also pdm Althair. I liked this from the Xmas set but this evening it feels a bit heavy and ott.

JoRaRaRa · 11/02/2026 21:12

SOTD was tiziana terenzi dorade. I don't think it's meant to be cosy, but today there was a quiet, golden cosiness about it. I ended up wearing it all day (rare for me) and topped up twice without switching. I felt like it brightened up a gloomy day and wrapped a soft warmth around me 🥰 it's not heavy or sweet, I think it's just right for this time of year. I might have to see if I can pick this up for a bargain on vinted. I picked up Thameen Riviere the other night for £30 on Vinted 😍

BakeOffRewatch · 12/02/2026 08:43

Tried the Molton Brown tea ceremony from the Jarrolds edit. I really like it, it’s very energising.

IDontHateRainbows · 12/02/2026 08:52

Tea ceremony is good.

I got the debenhams beauty box, and tried the libre berry crush. Can't quite make my mind up on this one, it's ok but a bit meh. Pleasant, not exciting. Mabye I have sensory overload from all the delina and ds and durga.

The other ones in the set, armani and valentino, I will sell on.

SOTD is Bombay Radio. It’s probably a bit elderly as it’s a roller oul that DH got in a Flannels cracker a couple of years ago. He’s not fussed by it but I quite like it.

I finally got round to listing some bits on Vinted then got told off for a duplicate listing as I had 2 of the same perfumes

IDontHateRainbows · 12/02/2026 15:22

Love radio bombay, although much prefer the sprays to the oils.

I want to go and spray lots of perfume upon myself but I can't.. big office. Maybe a little cheeky spritz of something light...

OP posts:
IDontHateRainbows · 12/02/2026 16:00

So I did have a cheeky spritz of the new armani perfume, as there is a perefum shop nearby. Tried the new armani one, it reminds me of la bomba from CH. Vanilla + passion fruit. A bit sickly sweet if I'm honest. Not one I'd be interested in.

Shattered after my trip to London earlier in the week, I wonder if perfumes can be used like smelling salts, to revive you when tired? I reckon I need to find a good zingy/freshy for those mid afternoon slump times!

Citrus, mind and eucalyptus are refreshing scents :) Ginger, basil too

The Libre Berry is the one I like the least out of the perfumes in the set. I like the valentino best, then armani then ysl. I like a lot of ysl fragrances, after PDM it's the brand of fragrances I own the most of, but I'm not a big fan of the OG Libre.

JoRaRaRa · 12/02/2026 17:18

SOTD has been shay & blue amber oud Ahad, warm and cosy with floral notes 🥰

OK are launching a scent discovery box - early access on 15th Feb

Scent of the day part 7 - let the friendly perfumistas take you to perfume heaven!
IDontHateRainbows · 12/02/2026 20:44

Flower bomb tiger lily tonight, really like this one. Apart from the samples I haven't opened my birthday fragrances yet. I think I will wait til the weekend and really savor them.

keepincool · 12/02/2026 21:42

The OK! Scents box looks like a regular beauty box tbh. Maybe a couple of scents, and the rest candle, body lotion, etc.

IDontHateRainbows · 13/02/2026 07:52

Opened the PDM box, and have been enjoying Palatine. You get a small travel case with it too.

Female scents are oriana, valaya, valaya exclusif, delina, delina exclusif, delina la rosee and palatine. All likes, unusual for me to like everything in a set.

Listed most of the male scents, will try to get half my money back although a couple of the more interesting male scents (pegasus, haltane) i have kept back.

If anyone has tried and can recommend any of the male scents please share!

All in all no regrets about buying this plus I also got loads of freebies!

Not decided sotd yet although im sure I have a bottle of Dorade in my perfume box.
I tested a mini molton brown rose and rhubarb yesterday. It was lovely. Not a combination I ever thought id like but would be tempted to buy when ive had a good clear out. So may never get around to buying 🤣

SavageGarden23 · 13/02/2026 09:18

Tried Jo malone sage sea salt that came in LF advent yesterday. I dont understand whats the hype about Jo malone and how it is worthy of the final drawer.I might give it to my partner tomorrow but he would also think its too light. Its my birthday today so dabbed some versace crystal noir ,its long lasting for me which is rare. Going to London later to eat biriyani, so need a strong perfume!
