Welcome to the Toast thread where we talk about what we love, (and what drives us mad 😹), about all things Toast.

As usual, pictures are welcomed, as are comments, questions and info about Toastie topics.

Actually love this, but Martina (model) sells their clothes so, so well. I have definitely bought things on the back of them looking good on her and wanting the same look for myself.

MsCFlower · 12/01/2026 18:01

Thanks @OftenOrange I've taken your lead and ordered the XXS in the taupe and mint dress too as I love the fabric. Do you mind me asking what size you would usually wear please? I also do not want it to look as oversized as on the model.

I usually take S or XS at Toast , but with their looser styles I may go for XXS
The dress is still quite roomy but doesn’t swamp . Hope it’s good for you too.

OftenOrange · 12/01/2026 19:18

@Snowyowl78 @ToastCosILoveIt I like both those things as modelled.
The stripey top worn with matching skirt does look lovely on her, and the indigo trousers need to be seen!

ScottishMouse · 12/01/2026 19:21

Long shot, but did anyone buy the chambray blue loungewear/pj shorts in S or M and is planning to return them?

clearsky · 12/01/2026 19:28

@ToastCosILoveIt Thanks, those trousers look great. They are not listed as jeans but denim trousers. I don’t know what that means. I think I will give them a try. I was hoping the twisted seam Japanese denim ones would come back into stock in my size but they have not. These look similar and cheaper.
I wish I knew how to find the new items easily!

Snowyowl78 · 12/01/2026 19:30

@clearsky they’ll probably all be in the New section tomorrow.
i also like the indigo jumpsuit!

faustina · 12/01/2026 19:42

I finally received the gabis in toffee and the pear barrel leg cords today. I'm giving up on the cord gabis now - there's something odd about the leg shape - much narrower than my old pair and they just don't work. I'm still not sure about the cord barrel legs. I can see why someone said they were flimsy and looked tired after a short time, but they are very very comfortable! I think you have these @ScottishMouse ? Can you please tell me if you had yours shortened and if so, do they still look/hang the same except shorter, or has it taken some of the shape away?

ScallopShellWalk · 12/01/2026 20:54

@MiracleToast
I have the wool trousers. I bought them a while back. I haven’t noticed them creasing and I would expect creases would fall out from wool. I’ve worn mine a few times already and had them on tonight. I really enjoy the comfort and warmth I get from them. I haven’t washed them yet. I don’t like to wash wool too much. I will wash them though (hand cold wash) when the time comes, it’s not easy for me to get things dry cleaned anymore. I hope you enjoy them if you keep them.

I actually have the twisted seam jeans, but that won’t stop me trying the denim ‘trousers’. I too love, love that jumpsuit, wonder what the sizing/fit is like, it could be a disaster or a success, depending on the cut. It does look promising.

In terms of ‘finding the new, I searched ‘new’ and then scrolled through over 200 items to find the three new things :)

ScottishMouse · 12/01/2026 21:01

@faustina yes, mine have been shortened by one hem length. Tricky to do as they are narrower at the bottom, but I don’t think that the shape has been affected.

MiracleToast · 12/01/2026 21:11

Thank you @ScallopShellWalk that is very encouraging and I’d be much happier to keep them if I could just hand wash them as well.

Hehe, I love how things look on their model Gwen. She looks so good in everything.

ShrankLastWinter · 12/01/2026 22:04

Has anyone bought the organza skirt in 10 and plans to return and would like to sell or swap for a 12 instead? Please let me know! Have decided the 12 is too big after all

clearsky · 12/01/2026 22:11

@ToastCosILoveIt I have the twisted seam jeans too but I wanted another pair as I have worn them so much. I wear jeans 90% of the time l, mainly Toast jeans so I am always up for a new style too.
Hopefully they will add more new items tomorrow and sort the website out.

ToastCosILoveIt · 12/01/2026 22:13

@clearsky , jeans are for weekends and evenings for me as unfortunately I can’t wear them at work. I love the twisted jeans though and they do draw comments when I wear them. Looking forward to the new drop on a single page so we can really see what is on offer!

ScottishMouse · 12/01/2026 22:18

I really love the new navy linen silk wrap shirt, but it is dry clean only, and rather hilariously, the care instructions include this: “avoid any drops or splashes of liquid, as they may leave marks”. Erm, ok, so never wear it then.

Ah, I meant Gwen, not Martina! Gwen is super cool in everything!

CheeseonToast2026 · 13/01/2026 09:47

Just had a look at some of the new stuff
Could they make the dresses look any more sack like?
The Pantry stripe dress looks like a dressing gown .
I think trying things in store would be best but honestly its too cold and CBA.
Nothing grabbing me and they have repeated so many styles again

Crinkle cotton skirt and dress
Linen easy sweater
Check Dress
Jumpers
Tees

The Japanese Denim Culottes look intetesting but Im concerned they will be stiff, unyielding Denim that wears the wearer not the other way round as per the ecru ones I tried in the summer.

I like the look of the V Crinkle dress but concerned the pockets will be just at the wrong height for those of us with hips giving that bottom heavy look as before with Toast column shapes
Sorry to be a grump but I was looking forward to some new things

ScallopShellWalk · 13/01/2026 11:56

I like that the knee high socks are back in stock. I missed out last time and often wished I’d had them, so I’ve ordered them this time. Still plenty time left of cold weather around here.

Countmeout · 13/01/2026 12:31

Bit disappointing the new drop. Nothing jumping out, maybe the linen tunic dress has possibilities but spendy.

My last two orders arrived at last.
i am keeping the Freya cord dress in blue. This will be useful.
The deco bottoms were too small as I feared and the heathery wool sweater managed to be too big and too small and it’s also verrrrrry thin. So both returned.

All in all slightly disappointing.

Thanks to the wonderful posters who recommended some knitwear shops upthread. I bought this https://bosie.co/products/luskentyre-chunky-fair-isle-glenugie-nep-womens-sweater-lewis-dark-aubergine

it arrived today and I love it!

Great taste!😉
I have this jumper and the oatmeal version as well.
Lovely weight

I was very tempted by the oatmeal as well! Lovely colours

OrangeyLemon · 13/01/2026 15:16

I am dressed head to toe in sludgy green and yellow today, or pear, turmeric and rich olive 😄 Crisp colours are not good on me. I loved the sleeveless stripey dress with the dropped waist last year, but I can’t do white and pale blue.
Knee socks have been a revelation this winter, keeping me warm and covering any gaps produced by my cropped trousers.

I'm with you on the sludgy green ;)

I bought the pear cord shirt a year ago, and the pear cord trouser in the present sale. That made med think of a Toast shirt that I bought 10-15 years ago, but witch I had never worn. I think, the 3 things together worked ok. Wore it the other day. Sorry the light makes the old shirt pattern hard to see.
