A "walking around " jacket?

Im trying to find a good quality nice jacket for "walking around" not sure if anyone will get me when i say that, but say for example , we are going on a city break end of Jan, so want a nice jacket that i can walk around see the sights, stop in a cafe and still be respectably dressed, comfy but decent. Not a long coat and not a going out jacket.
I cant seem to find one that is not a big puffer one, which are dreadful on me.
I do like the furry ones though.
Any suggestions?

Was only looking at that fur coat from hobby last night. I do like that.
And the green Braur one is really nice!!!
I actually have a list as long as my arm lol but I cant buy 12 sooooo, no decisions yet.

I do also need a wool coat but it doesnt have to be Paris bound I just need a new one anyway.

Does it? I have no idea. I see people walking around in double breasted coats and jackets all the time. Winter coats are expensive and people wear them for many years. I wore my 19 year old long winter coat out today as it is bright and sunny. It is 70% wool, and nothing like as warm as my unstylish Mountain Warehouse waterproof coat.

The Karen Millen one is really nice as is the Bruar one, never heard of that company

House of Bruar are a reputable comany. They have a big outlet on the A9 in Perthshire, Scotland. I wish I had called in instead of driving past.

True. I’m off to Paris again this January and am already planning on not being in the tourist areas and plan to make a much bigger effort there than I do at home. I still wear trainers and jeans but I try to style rather than just wear the clothes. I find this really liberating as you have to really think about what you want to wear and when. You take only what will work together and add complementary accessories or colours. Paris tends just to be cold in January rather than wet. I’ve streamlined my wardrobe/colours and have discovered Uniqlo cashmere tops which are not too hot but add an extra non bulky layer. Plus the Uniqlo gilets which fit under blazers and coats.

This is the one I created myself to recently, I spotted it on an elegant looking lady strolling through Barcelona, and went on a mission to find it. It's actually in the sale and so it's a fabulous bargain!

Either it was exceptionally mild in Paris for January, I was having a permanent hot flush, or I trusted my packing/wardroble.

My Monki coat was perfect. And had one of the best trips 😊
