Thanks ova, I've just bought the Selfridges bridal box, I think it's great for that price. I've been selling the delinas from edits etc thinking that the PDM countdown has a travel size of the original. It doesn't 🙈🤣 I also love the wa blush stick so a backup is OK and the hourglass powder so I'm pleased with this set and I've not treated myself for a while 🤭 well apart from the color wow set I bought from LF in the sale 🤣

I got this one at full price and was really happy with it and agree a good deal for £55
As I have got the Parfums de Marly countdown to open I am not buying another as the Delina was one of the big appeals for me.

OvaHere · 24/12/2025 17:40

@MrsBnow12 I also got it when it released. It is a really nice one. I started using the styling spray a few weeks ago which is lovely. Hope you enjoy it and happy xmas @JoRaRaRa

M&S beauty. https://www.marksandspencer.com/l/offers/sale/beauty#intid=gnavbeautyprop-roundelbeauty-sale bit meh tbh but good if you want to stock o neom candles or diffusers as presents.

Hicupping · 24/12/2025 22:38

I'm so old I remember when sales were on boxing day 😅

Ooh, thanks for that @OvaHere - lots of interesting info.

I wish I had been on the thread when those bargains/glitches were around!

My ‘best bargains’:

  1. The Gisou lip gloss/oil that was reduced in Harrods and I only paid £4.40 for as I had £10 in reward points! I put it in my DIY calendar so haven’t tried it yet, but it looks very promising

  2. Probably everything I bought in Korea, as KBeauty products are so cheap there!

  3. The M&S summer beauty bag - I bought two!

Favourite lip products:

Shiseido lipstick in Short Circuit 415 from the 2025 a/c. I have almost finished it but DS2 has just brought me another one back from Japan - yippee!

Fwee lip tint bought in SK

Favourite eye product/bargain:

The VB Kajal pencil dupe from Aldi. Gives me a bit of panda eye, (but who doesn’t love pandas!🐼)

Favourite blush:

Hands down the Daiso Sweet Thing pot blush, (Fwee pudding pot dupe), bought in SK for the princely sum of £1.50

Favourite Bodycare:

The Verden Nocturne cream from the Liberty a/c
The EL Bronze Goddess body oil dupe from Aldi

Favourite hair care:

The Arkive oil I got in the M&S beauty box

Favourite perfume discovery:

Dear Polly from the Liberty Beauty Box - this is very sad as I shall never be able to afford to buy a full size product and I only have one squirt of the 2ml sample left 😿

Favourite skincare:

Summer Friday lip balm - I have repurchased

The blooming awful:

Almost all the perfumes in the Liberty a/c - which is sad as there are sooo very many of them 🙀

The Discoteque perfume from the CB GWP - it smells absolutely awful on me!

Ditto the Vyrao perfume from the CB GWP

Trish McEvoy sheer lip colour in Mulberry from the Liberty a/c - gave me a very unpleasant allergic reaction 😿

Hi @IlovePond i’ve a Dear polly 8ml ish (had a few sprays) from last years advent that I like but don’t love that I’d be happy to gift to you if you’d like it xx

IlovePond · 24/12/2025 23:35

That’s so kind of you @Millymollymine - I won’t though as I have soo much stuff to get through . Thanks though - I really appreciate it x

I must've missed it when this one was mentioned. Merry christmas to you too 🥰 thank you for making me feel so welcome over the last 6 months 🩷

I’m really tempted by the hourglass holiday palette as they’re reduced on spacenk right now. I remember they were popular on this thread! I wanted to ask if anyone else here is fair/light neutral toned, which palette would you/did you go for? I’ve seen people say the deer one is maybe too subtle and doesn’t show up but I feel the swan would be too deep?

paristotokyo · 25/12/2025 07:03

@IlovePondthank you :)

MrsBnow12 · 25/12/2025 07:22

I am a fair/light neutral tone (CT 5N, Dior 2.5N) and I bought the Deer, the bronzer is a touch too light and I use it more like a finishing powder but the rest are stunning and suit my skin tone. I like a no makeup makeup look and if I want more colour from the blushes they build up really well and the highlighter is perfect and not too glowy.

I bought the Swan one and I'm very pale. HG is very subtle so I think most of it will work maybe bar the bronzer. I have the palest one from last year and fancied the blushes in the darker one. Not tried it yet as it's an xmas present.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Happy Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas Everyone, hope you all have a beautiful beauty-full day! 💅💋

paristotokyo · 25/12/2025 10:16

@OvaHerethanks, hope you love it. The bronzer does look quite dark but can maybe be worn as an eyeshadow. I’m being swayed forwards the swan, but I prefer the packaging of the deer. Decisions!

BlueLimes · 25/12/2025 10:57

Merry Christmas 🎄
special thanks to @OvaHere for all the information but really to everyone on the thread , all so helpful and nice ☺️

I bought my hourglass palette from hourglass themselves so I was able to put the swan colours in the fox palette (I absolutely love foxes). I did buy the fox palette first but it was too dark for me. I've opened it this morning and I'm so pleased with it. I don't think you'll regret buying it. The colours are gorgeous!! 😍 I'm light / medium with neutral undertones, I think I'll need to build up the colours, I think if you can do a soft touch, swan would also suit you.

JoRaRaRa · 25/12/2025 11:02

What is everyone else fancying in the sales? I've just bought a chantecaille lipstick from SpaceNK. I feel a bit irritated that sales have started already when retailers know that we're all celebrating with our families today. I don't want to sit on my phone shopping but I also don't want to miss out on bargains 😡

IlovePond · 25/12/2025 11:26

Merry Christmas, everyone!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 25/12/2025 11:56

I'm trying not to buy anything but we'll see how that plays out because I've already bought some skincare 👀

I'm a little peeved, I asked my other half for an Elizabeth Scarlett make up pouch when they were reduced in the BF sales and he didn't get me one because, and I quote,
'I won't be told when to shop'. Very unlike his character, he's a very easy going and generous chap. Just fighting The Man when it comes to Black Friday and the crucial flaw in the whole thing is that he didn't tell me about his Principles avec reduced cosmetic bags until AFTER BF was over.

In a rallying cry to support my own feral Will Shop All The Time principles, I'm considering buying an ES pouch at full price. Help me.

ChicDenimCat · 25/12/2025 12:22

Merry Christmas all, hope you all have a lovely day. Love reading here, thanks to all and especially @OvaHere !
