Yes I was thinking that. There are some that also have Sisley products listed etc for very cheap prices so they look v suspicious.
This seller didn’t have a lot of other beauty products listed and had good reviews, but I really didn’t need yet another moisturiser so I stopped myself from pressing ‘buy’

I don’t have overly dry skin so am hoping the Valmont works ok for me. I might use it as a day cream. 🤔

Yes Sisley is another one. Mostly the Black Rose products as it's their most popular range. I have seen Velvet Flowers too though. Summer Fridays and Laneige lip balms were widely faked also and it would be really difficult to tell from a listing.

I bought laneige fake lip balms off Ebay last xmas. 🙄

JoRaRaRa · 17/01/2026 11:55

The OK beauty boxes have 25% off https://www.okbeautybox.co.uk/collections/old-subscription-boxes
I'm a bit tempted by the celebration box. I like the Dr paw paw for holidays and ran out of it on my last trip. I'd probably pop the rodial into my travel bag too, the rest I'm not fussed about, but I'm sure my sister would like them 🤔 I'll have a think.

JoRaRaRa · 17/01/2026 11:56

They did come up at 25% off at checkout for me, but if they don't, put in the code BESTSELLERS25

TragicMuse · 17/01/2026 12:25

I have just realised I want a K-beauty sample box! Something like the little suitcase last year - which went down A STORM with my nieces!

Yes, yes, I have a stash but I really want to try some Beauty of Joseon and other brands to get a feel for what I like.

Might have to check out Stylevana/StyleKorean…

Oh no. I hope you got a refund.

I was just looking at the Skin Cupid site and it looks like you can now get their monthly K- beauty subscription box as a one off purchase rather than having to subscribe. There are some good products there this month.

Probably works out more expensive than getting them from Stylevana etc but I’m impatient and the free shipping thresholds are lower with the UK based retailers so less temptation to load up the basket (in theory).

TragicMuse · 17/01/2026 12:43

I found an offer on style Korean which I am looking at.

TragicMuse · 17/01/2026 12:44

So now I’m looking at Skin Cupid!

Nearly50omg · 17/01/2026 12:49

I’ve put another complaint into Cult regarding their free “gift cards” that aren’t gift cards at all they are discount codes!! Which is illegal for a start! Trading standards look at this behavior very dimly and I received a recent “gift cards” for my birthday but it’s not it’s a discount code but you can’t use it on pretty much anything on the website so yet another scam by them

Hicupping · 17/01/2026 13:59

Quidco has £15 cashback on £50 spend at Sephora https://www.quidco.com/incentive/sephora-bonus-wc12january26/?utm_source=commercial-content

AprilLady · 17/01/2026 15:53

@Nearly50omg agree - the CB gift cards are now not worth much at all. They didn’t used to be, until a year or so ago they were actual gift cards that took money off whatever you bought. But now it feels like yet another Hut Group dodgy marketing trick.

TragicMuse · 17/01/2026 15:56

Oh FFS. Style Korean add tax at the end. Good deal becomes less of a good deal. Which is irritating.

JoRaRaRa · 17/01/2026 16:16

Just organised my serums, moisturisers and eye creams:
12 day serums from them 6 are ts
9 night serums from them 1 is ts
6 eye creams 2 ts
9 night cream 3 ts
18 moisturisers 1 3 ts

I don't know why I kept thinking I needed moisturiser 🙈😳

Now to start on makeup....

Hut group is near me and renown for being a terrible employer who treat their staff like shit. So dont expect good customer service. Was it Richard Branson who said staff first, customers second as happy staff= happy customers?

IlovePond · 17/01/2026 00:16

I’m disappointed with the Boots Future Renewal bundle I bought during a special offer a while back. I was hoping I would like it, but the day cream isn’t at all moisturising and leaves a kind of sticky residue on my skin. I am using it up by putting it on my neck when I remember. The serum isn’t doing anything for me, either and sadly there’s a night cream to use up too🙀

I also got an eye serum from the same range. I am not sure it’s doing any good, but it feels ok on the skin unlike the other stuff.

I was really hoping this range would be a good substitute for the more pricy stuff I usually use, but it’s not to be!

I was too. I really didn’t like any of it and the Day Cream was truly awful, like rubbing lard into my skin. (I imagine, not actually done that).

I wanted to like it but I couldn’t.

Thelifeofawife · 17/01/2026 17:19

Regarding Medik8 day cream & night cream - I’m currently using both. I do like them, but not as wowed by them as I was expecting.
That said, I like the thickness, and my skin does look & feel nice using them. I’ve also had no issues with breakouts from using them like with some new products.

For night time, from the various brands I’ve tried, I really like the Laneige sleeping mask, my skin feels lovely when I use that. I hate their lip mask though, the product itself is good, but that fiddly pot and applicator will ensure I don’t repurchase.

IlovePond · 17/01/2026 17:26

Glad it’s not just me @Sminty2 !

@TragicMuse - CLARE10 might take 10% off at StyleKorean.

As you all know 😹I have finally accepted that I tend to heartily dislike niche perfumes - but the vanilla fugazzi was a surprise hit for me which is why I bought another CB fragrance stocking. I have also decided that I don’t ‘mind’ the Milk Commodity personal, so those two alone are well worth the discounted price. The Discotheque perfume is horrible on me, (although not as bad as the one that was in the CB GWP), so I will be passing that on! Haven’t tried the Escentric Molecules one yet but don’t have high hopes!

Twinsandsome · 17/01/2026 17:31

Interestingly the indigo cream also doesn’t agree with me like stings my nose whereas the green water cream is my go too I have 4 back ups I love it that much. I’m wondering if there’s a common denominator ingredient in all these that my skin doesn’t like as many many of you loving the indigo cream xx

AprilLady · 17/01/2026 17:51

Do any of you subscribe to FabFitFun? As with beauty boxes and GWPs, it’s rather more expensive and rather less good value than when I started subscribing 4 or 5 years ago, but I still quite enjoy it and am halfway through an annual subscription.

Spoilers for the Spring box have been released this week and there are a few DE choices in the box - was wondering whether any of you had tried the products and which you thought were worth while? Rest of box is okayish - as usual, quite a few things not available for UK subscribers.

Hicupping · 17/01/2026 18:02

Tried it for a year found I wasn't really using the stuff I got and was using it for gifts or popping on FB. Some mystery choices I couldn't even give away on FB. Got a throw allegedly worth $80, loved it so bought the exact same throw from Amazon in another colour for £12. This is the one, it's stretchy and perfect for working from home. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BCGX2F77?th=1

I looked into once but it seemed complicated - you have to remember to make choices by a certain date or something? I feel like I'd be rubbish at that.

@AprilLady I literally signed up for it yesterday and will see how I get on with it, I cancelled my Glossybox and Lookfantastic and Glamour and Ok don’t appeal.
I used to get Allure from the US but cancelled that last year and was on the look out for something else.
I plan on signing up to the quarterly perfume society and then with beauty drop have 3 quarterly boxes so essentially one a month.
@Doglover73is a fab fit fun subscriber.
I signed up for an annual subscription so will see how I get on.

Doglover73 · 17/01/2026 18:56

Yes ive been getting it around maybe 4/5 years. Annual.
Its not as good as it used to be imo but I still like it. Autumn and winter have been the best boxes generally as my subscription is doring and im on the fence but then resubscribe as they have been good 🤣
You definitely need to get on quick and choose your choices, or any you fancy as theres limited numbers.
The restrictions are a pain especially if its something like nars make up which you can get in uk. There havent been as many as I think they did lose customers.
You also need to make sure you remove anything before the cut off date or you end up with extras 😲 and it gets expensive.
Tax is added on to additional stuff thats added and that adds up quickly. Easy to get carried away. 🥰

See this is why I've kept resisting. I just don't think I'm that organised. 😂
