Yes, it is quite a dark shade. I only use it in summer, to enhance a tan. Im a medium to olive tone, darker in summer as I naturally tan at the drop of a hat.

We've been to Beverley's Festival of Christmas today. It was a very long day, but worth it. They have some really nice shops there, including a Brown's department store where I was able to test out some more of the dior glittery things and have decided I now need the glow maximiser highlighter 😍 so sparkly!! But my husband bought me a new hat and scarf set in a heart print in fruit salad colours ❤️🩷🧡 so I best not spend anymore money 😕 well, not today anyway! 🤭

The Murad aha cleanser, is a really nice exfoliator without the scrubbing bit, unless you're a teenager with tough skin it will last you forever. I only use it once a week max. It's not an every day cleanser for most people I'd think.
I'm using this from Clever soap at the mo, sure if it's helping with the redness on my cheeks but it's not drying or stripping at all and my face likes it. You've given me life at times, recovering from a long illness and having little energy or interest in anything, but you've reignited my interest in beauty which is really self-care. So I can't thank you and everyone else enough 🙏

Btw I got the aldi AB dupe and actually love it. Feels very glycerine rich, gives a nice sheen to the skin. Not an exact dupe but i like it for itself. Bought two plus the serum 😅
I've had the AB original and it's still on my wish list because I don't think any of the dupes are close enough!

I agree nothing comes close to The Rich Cream that I've found so far which is why I haven't bought the Aldi dupes. It's probably a decent cream but I'll unfairly compare it.

I've been slightly virtuous. I did buy the CB edit with the Medik8 retinal but overall I've been good. It's the last day of SNK double points and I haven't bought anything.

Trying to hold off until January when I'm planning to get some Tatcha stuff in their Fukubukuro event and I may partake in the Roka mystery bag event again if they do that. I found it quite fun last year.

I realise that doesn't sound like a good start to my low buy year but I've not bought Tatcha this year as I've been waiting for this event. So it's planned which is more acceptable....😂

I did buy the Aldi rich cream dupe to compare it, but with the intention of using it more of a body cream. When I first received the AB rich cream in an AC, I thought it was body cream 😱 luckily I looked it up first 🤣 phew!!

@LoveLabradors there were so many dogs there yesterday, a lot with their Christmas jumpers on 😍 We didn't take ours, I left her with my step dad. She's a toy pom, so she would've had to be carried around so she didn't get stood on. The parade included a Bernese society and most of the dogs were pulling (they had wheels) little santa sleighs full of toys for Santa. It was soooo cute! They looked like they were really enjoying it 🥰 Beverley is a gorgeous place, it's only the 2nd time I've visited.

On the spending front, so Cult beauty restocked the Clé de peau holiday quad eyeshadow, I've been humming and ahhhing over it and it's now sold out again. So that's decision made for me 🤣 I loved the design and that it was refillable, but as I bought the dior plum parade, I didn't feel I needed another palette especially with a purple in. Next year, I think I'll wait before deciding and maybe not go for another dior palette.

Beauty detective on insta keeps posting pics of the spring collections and they're all looking good 🥰 I should save my money now and wait for one of those.

@JoRaRaRa I kept looking at the CdP holiday eyeshadow. Good job I didn't know it was restocked. Although I think really it was the packaging I was drawn to.

I am still being a bit tempted by the space nk fragrance calendar. I wonder how many unisex scents are in it. Thought I could buy it as a family Xmas present and we could have a bit of fun seeing which we like.i have a DH and a DS though. Also I bought the Selfridges calendar with gifting to other people in mind but I am so tempted to keep MIL ‘ s present myself as the Jo Malone scent is lovely . Reminds me of the Dirty Works body creams which although cheap I really love!

Yeah, I think it was more the design of the palette for me too. It almost sold it to me being refillable 🤣

I had gone back and forth on the Charlotte Tilbury GWP, in the end I only wanted one thing so I was very restrained and didn’t add to my purchase! Which feels a little odd but was the right decision.

I am aiming for a low-spend next year, we’ll see how that goes!!

Afternoon all. I have just had a weird moment - in my DIY calendar I had, apparently, put in a tiny sample of: Tiger by Her Side - Sana Jardin - goodness knows where it came from originally.

I sprayed it on my wrists and was immediately transported back to my childhood. It reminded me so much of a perfume from decades ago.

Probably sounds strange, but it really gave me a start - smell is such a strong evoked of memory!

Is anybody familiar with this perfume? I had never heard of it, (and having looked up the price, won’t be buying it 😹)
