New thread for when the old one is finished. We rattled through the last thread being a chatty bunch.

Everyone welcome to chat about beauty and/or share bargain finds.

No one trusts actual influencers anymore. Product reviews aren’t even reliable anymore when they’re “collected as part of a competition or launch event”.

So yeah I would not underestimate how many lurkers or even un-registered readers make purchases trusting some anonymous usernames that match their own demographics. Downside is the forum is open to marketers advertising and bots, so always be careful.

Plus Mumsnet SEO is really good and appears as top results when people searching stuff like “best BAC”. It’s how I came across the site. They turn out posts into adverticles as well. I was annoyed when I first realised but got over it, doesn’t actually do any harm and I like the website.

Which brought people to delurk and call us “a bunch of greedy mumsnetters” 🤣 thought it was a bit cheeky lol, you’re enjoying the posts and info from those “greedy” MNers. I reported the post for name calling, was surprised it stood.

Not at all surprised the calendars sold out so quickly. The one I had actually wanted was the Bvlgari 12 day fragrance calendar, which I had decided I’d buy if it got to half price. I’d been stalking it since it got reduced after Christmas. When I went to bed around 11pm last night it was still showing as 30% off. By the time I checked this morning (7am) it was half price and already sold out.

It was after that disappointment I noticed the Elemis reduction. Glad a few mumsnet regulars were able to take advantage, it was a very good price for very good contents.

If it was the bargainous M&S Neom pod then it’s back in stock right now.

I'm very grateful for you posting. I was looking at the Bioeffect set last night and probably wouldn't have looked again for a few days had you not mentioned the elemis calendar. I did then go on to buy the elemis and tatcha calendars too and have no regrets! My no buy January well and truly smashed to smithereens 🤣 Oh well, there's always February 🙈 Plus it's my birthday this month, so I'm definitely not going to feel guilty about treating myself 💁🏻‍♀️

Anya Village, there’s three stores in West London and they have an ice cream pop up each summer and Christmas pop up and grotto each winter

I’m disappointed I missed out on the Tatcha advent and now the extra free things are showing on the Tatcha site (mini cream and serum). So. I think i won’t buy in a huff.

@BakeOffRewatch the Anya Hindmarch stuff does look interesting. I’m planning a London trip next weekend to choose my Jo Loves perfume - the Anya Hindmarch store is close to that, so may well pop in to have a look.

The one I saw was a flash sale for £33.
I actually bought the bigger one before Christmas which I haven’t set up yet, but fancied a smaller one as well

Worth paying extra for next day on these sale bargain items I think. Hopefully it land tomorrow.

While nowhere near the M&S level bargain, TK Maxx has the blue, green and pink versions for £39.99 in their Beauty Bestsellers section if that’s any help.

I was in my local Boots today and saw that they had a couple of the Lancome Holiday Gift sets in stock, at the bargain price of £67. it’s out of stock online, but worth checking stores nearby if anyone liked the look of it.
i bought one for my sister after reading about it on here - I had a look at it before handing it over and it was such amazing value for a lovely set. I think I paid about £78 maybe - so even more of a bargain now
I was seriously tempted to get one myself today, but I had just come from the dentist after paying for a crown, so I resisted 😞

I don't think my elemis ac order is going to go through, even though I purchased at 8:59 😕 The Bioeffect (1st order) and Tatcha ac (3rd order) are now showing as 'preparing for shipping' but my Elemis (2nd order) is still showing as 'processing order' 😩
