Morning - if anyone sees any good deals on Le Cerisier fragrance from L’Occitane, please give me a shout.

Thanks

Happy Christmas everyone! It looks like I’ve missed the good bargains, all the sets that I’d like have been sold out. Probably will get some Kopari if they drop a bit more but otherwise nothing really tempting me. Maybe worth waiting till January sales.

There was a dress on Oliver Bonas I wanted that I saw was reduced half price but I didn’t want to shop on Christmas Day - was sold out by the time kids were in bed!

Gutting, isn't it?! There was a jacket at m&s that I wanted, it went in the sale on christmas eve, I saw it whilst we were waiting for our friends to join us for a meal but they arrived before I was able to order so I put my phone away, by the time I went back on it a few hours later, it was sold out in my size. I've ordered the size below but I think it'll be too small, I know the size above will be too big, although it'll probably be OK after yesterday's feast 🤣

JoRaRaRa · 26/12/2025 13:15

I headed off to Meadowhall today to see if I could get some bargains. I wanted more makeup bargains, I feel like online has better bargains. So I'm now off home, I'll stick a christmas film on, have some cheese and wine and shop online for the rest of the day. Then head to m&s in the morning for the jacket (see post above) that I'm after 😊 #prayforjo
I did get some christmas lego, so I'm going to do that too. I also need to collapse and bin my advent calendars. I bought a big makeup sorter outerrer from Tkmaxx so I can decant my ACs into it 😍

BakeOffRewatch · 26/12/2025 13:17

I’m not gutted, more like “oh ok oh well” I’m not sure how I even saw it was reduced lol as I was trying to stay off my phone www.oliverbonas.com/fashion/green-velvet-v-neck-puff-sleeve-midi-dress-389831#selection.color=26355 . Ads are so prolific now. It was similar to a boden dress that I actually really wanted, the Boden Vivienne Green Fir velvet dress which is sold out but at a more welcoming price point and less glitzy. I’m sorry you didn’t get something you really wanted @JoRaRaRa but remember you have your Tesco haul x

Hi
Which clever soap is it you use?
I have mature, combination skin and have rosacea 😘

It's this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B63GYQ59?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k0_1_11&amp=&crid=3PBB5J5QC87BB&amp=&sprefix=clever+soap Aqua, Aloe barbadensis (organic leaf) extract, Glycerin, Coco glucoside, Sodium cocoamphoacetate, Xanthan gum, Sulfur, Ricinus communis seed oil, Benzyl alcohol, Dehydroacetic acid, Sorbic acid, Benzoic acid, Hippophae rhamnoides (organic kernel) extract, Quillaja saponaria, Sodium bicarbonate.
They used to have a bigger range so I do wonder if they're struggling. It's very gentle.

It's really annoying. As a minimum they should start boxing day. I hate that loads of them started xmas eve.

I don't think most of the beauty sales have been that great unless you're looking to get a lot of gift sets. I'm over the holiday gift sets at this point though.

I genuinely don’t have any words for that @BakeOffRewatch - is that what you get for someone who is a bit of a ….?

LouScot · 26/12/2025 15:30

Hi all, I've been a keen lurker on here for a while and you all seem much more knowledgeable than me, so wondering if I can seek advice.

I posted before that I'd neglected skincare during years of (unsuccessful) IVF that has also left me financially on a tight budget. I'm 47 and have always thought I looked far younger, and people do seem to assume I am, but I've had a few skin analyses things recently which have put my perceived age as 49. I'm also losing weight to become healthier, good for my health but not my face!

I KNOW in the grand scheme of things it's not worth worrying about but as a single and childless woman I'm finding this aging process a bit of a downer so if anyone has any suggestions to help with the following that would be great:

-Forehead horizontal lines

  • "smile" lines, one side (that I sleep on is particularly bad)
  • slight beginnings of marionette lines (downward turn of mouth)

I am naturally "very expressive" apparently which I think is a polite.way of saying I've got a rubbish poker face, so botox definitely out as I wouldn't look like me if I wasn't screwing up my face at something!!

Bonus if they don't cost a fortune and are easy to use
Although perhaps paying a small fortune will help me use them!!

My current routine is facial wash in the shower, day and night cream, but advice on potions - and what order to use them in!- would be great.

ITookYourJoob · 26/12/2025 15:43

@BakeOffRewatch same story, had a little look around midnight, but the websites were slow and my motivation low 😁

BakeOffRewatch · 26/12/2025 15:56

@LouScot facial massage daily, lymphatic drainage techniques. Loads of gua shas for resale. SPF religiously. Magnesium, vitamin D and calcium. Pilates for posture and how you hold yourself - good posture does more for anti aging and beauty than anything else. Sweating daily most effective method for dewy glowy skin. Tonnes of water, cut out caffeine and sugar. Anything else is literal surface level and for fun! That’s the boring and cheap method.

MrsBnow12 · 26/12/2025 16:11

For those still on the fence with a Hourglass palette in Fox, John Lewis has it reduced to £55.20.

Sephora have a gwp with a £140 spend today, need to use code DECTREAT as doesn’t automatically add to your basket. Think it is valid for today only.

Thank you! Just used this and used the discount code so got the lot for £136. Happy Christmas to me!

Oh both of those dresses are gorgeous, I love the green velvet 💚😍
I've had my eye on the jacket for a few months but couldn't justify the spend so I'm gutted that I didn't just apologise, explain and get it bought 😩 I wore some of my sequin tesco gear yesterday ✨😊

A couple of Tatcha sets which meant I got a free Tatcha cleanser, Loccitane hand cream and the Sephora Favourite Skincare set so lots of new things to try in the new year!

Thelifeofawife · 26/12/2025 20:57

Wow, how did I miss this thread? 😅

I came along to mention the Debenhams beauty bargains, including the Lancôme gift set.
I can’t believe that Hourglass palettes are so reduced, I haven’t even used mine yet.
I am trying hard to not buy anything in the sales. I have run out of space!

Doglover73 · 26/12/2025 21:04

Ive just looked at my cult beauty basket. Extra £10 off with every £50 spent. Will be deleting some stuff as had fragranc stockings in. Works with already reduced edits. I didn't use a code. Did automatically x

Doglover73 · 26/12/2025 21:05

Ah just noticed its cult status offer x

Just want to say that those skin analysis things must be rubbish. I've been on hrt since I was 38 (so keeps skin looking younger), people always comment how I don't look my age (early 50s), I have very few lines, sunspots etc but those skin analysis things put me at late 50s 😂

Having said that, you'd probably benefit from a retinol product a couple times a week and use face sunscreen.

Good budget brands include The Ordinary, Inky List, Sephora's own brand.

Spending a little more, anything by Medic8 eg their liquid peptides or retinol is highly rated.

In using Lancome at the moment as I got a good deal on a beauty set a few months ago. Esteee Lauder and Sunday Riley are other brands I look for offers on for creams their and serums.
