Help. I am seriously considering buying some Crocs...

I am off on holiday abroad in a month and am seriously thinking of buying a pair. I was thinking that if I bought a 'decent' pair I could travel in them then wear them on the beach and to breakfast etc and only have to take one other pair of shoes to wear in the evening.

Am I mad or is there a better alternative?

Don't do it.
It'll all end in tears.......
mine when I cry laughing at you wearing them!

MargaretMountford · 10/06/2008 12:19

buy Havaiianas instead - don't be seen in crocs, they are an abomination

Tortington · 10/06/2008 12:20

please don't there is something wrong with plastic shoes. eww

MargaretMountford · 10/06/2008 12:21

look, these are nice and very comfy and you won't look like a twat

MrsPuddleduck · 10/06/2008 12:25

I really do not want to look like a twat

DH will kill me if I am useless at the airport due to inapropriate footwear - plus I will have a pushchair and need to chase after a 4 year old in them as well.....

Perhaps if I buy a really decent pair of flip flop things.......

Good luck finding a "decent" pair of Crocs

MargaretMountford · 10/06/2008 12:28

seriously, Havaiianas are very good...

schneebly · 10/06/2008 12:28

I am gong to go against the gran here and say YES GET CROCS! V.comfy and easy to walk around in, your feet wont sweat if you get the holey ones. They are fab honest.

Goober · 10/06/2008 12:29

Or a couple of nice pairs of canvas pumps. Primark have some nice ones about £4 a pair. Good for chasing,
protects toes with the buggy,
not twat-wear.

amner · 10/06/2008 12:29

Buy them for your 4 year old instead

schneebly · 10/06/2008 12:29

those havaiianas look like a £1.99 pair of flip flops

MargaretMountford · 10/06/2008 12:30

or espadrilles - the flat French ones...or some flat topped Converses- might as well look stylish in your pumps
Crocs are just not very nice

fullmoonfiend · 10/06/2008 12:32

canvas pumps make your feet ming. Go crocs, go crocs

MargaretMountford · 10/06/2008 12:32

they come in a squillion different colours though (Havaiianas) and are good quality rubber..there are some other similar and a bit cheaper Brazilian flipflops which I'll see if I can find

MargaretMountford · 10/06/2008 12:32

MrsPuddleduck · 10/06/2008 12:35

I like the idea of a pair of Converse pumps, thanks.....cheper than Crocs as well

OP posts:
Goober · 10/06/2008 12:36

Canvas pumps come in different colours
AND ARE PATTERNED TOO.
They will also go in the washing mashine. They are cheep enough to have a pair for every outfit.
Crocs make your feet look huge like clown's feet.

MrsPuddleduck · 10/06/2008 12:36

Sorry, meant cheaper.

Chequers - what's wrong with Converse?! I am going to end up with a complex at the airport at this rate!
