That's also interesting that the brand is owned by The Hut group - I remember when they took over Cult Beauty and people predicted it would go downhill pretty quickly. I didn't realise they had bought up brands that produced actual products too. Apparently Biossance, ESPA, Grow Gorgeous, Illmasqua, Eyeko and Perricone MD are all part of THG now.

I used the hair mask today and love it too. My hair feels so soft 😊 I didn't dare go in with the scrub though.
I used the last of my eye cream this morning so I'm looking forward to trying the mz skin tomorrow 😊 I'm planning on having a spa morning tomorrow with the eye and face masks 🥰

I agree that overall, the calendar has been great, but it's peaked early 🤣

agree …this should have been bigger or had two or three deluxe sized tatcha products …I love this years harrods advent calendar but this tiny pot for xmas eve was a let down …harrods (if you follow this thread) im happy to curate nexts years for you 😉

I can’t believe the big day is here already and the very last day of our calendar. I replaced today’s item as it is not my colour. Not the most exciting box for Christmas Day though.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Today's drawer is a DOD for me - such a shame to end on an DOD but I knew it was coming which was partly why I was staying positive at yesterday's not very generously sized drawer 😂 It's a MAC lipstick in Rubty Woo - a very strong matte red. I tried it in store and the colour was hideous on me and the formulation was very drying so didn't do my lips any favours. I get the idea - giving us something to make us instantly glamorous and festive for Christmas Day, but it's a shame they chose something that's so unlikely to suit many people in terms of shade and formulation - a matte lipstick is tricky to pull off well unless you have a perfect full pout imo.

Anyway, I'd put a Westman Atelier highlighter, a Kosa's brow gel and and some drunk elephant b goldi drops in here so I had some new makeup to play with this morning and the lipstick was promised to a friend ages ago. I do think Harrods should take up our kind offer to curate next years calendar for them though, as if I were the type to not read calendar contents and swap or supplement if necessary, or if I was lucky enough to have been gifted one unexpectedly (I can dream) the last two days of the calendar would have been a pretty underwhelming finale.

The Tom Ford lipstick they gave us last year seemed much more of a treat and a far more wearable shade.

@pinkchampagne1 I didn't get last year's calendar but yeah Tom Ford is a much more premium brand, that instantly sounds nicer. This just feels boring, Ruby Woo is one of the classic Mac shades and it came out in 1999 so anyone looking for this kind of lipstick would have come across it by now. I still wouldn't have worn it back then, even with vastly plumper and more youthful lips 😂

I agree, not a great day but I swapped the Ruby Woo to a much more wearable shade, which will be perfect for January. I also got the clear gloss and lip pencil. These were from the look fantastic calendar. I love my Lisa eldridge sparkly lip glosses, so I'll probably wear the Kensington plum today, I don't really wear red apart from once or twice around Christmas and I've got enough reds from ACs, edits and gift sets to last me a lifetime.

The calendar peaked too early, after the 22nd, the rest of the drawers were a bit meh for me, but overall, I have loved the calendar, I'm so looking forward to trying the different, expensive serums and moisturisers and having that taste of luxury. Most days have felt really special and it's helped me jump out of bed on the dark mornings 💚

I agree @pinkchampagne1 the Tom ford last year felt more luxurious and it's a shade that can be worn all year 😍

I love nearly everything, the lipstick is probably one I won’t wear.

I have really enjoyed my first Harrods calendar only 3 DoD for me which is ok as I will move the items on.
I had sold the lipstick already in November so listed the empty calendar on marketplace on Wednesday for £20 and have a buyer!

Quick question… I got Ruby Woo for Christmas Day and I know it’s a classic but I just don’t wear red lipstick… if I don’t open it do you think I would be able to swap it in store for another colour?

Not sure you would be able to swap it in store but you can sell it on Vinted and use the profit to buy another lipstick of your choice. I did this. I sold the Ruby Woo and bought the lipstick that was in the Liberty calendar as a replacement.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the discussion, I really love having an advent calendar and discussing beauty products so a huge part of the joy for me comes from the opening threads - it's been an absolute pleasure throughout December- first Harrod's calendar for me and I think it's been great over all. Has anyone got any new favorite products? And what have people repurchased already? ( from vinted or similar - I bought the U beauty resurfacing as discussed, and an extra Uruk Chronicles perfume, which definitely wasn't necessary but I got excited )

I found this online, my first spreadsheet that I did, I had put that the shiseido was a night cream, this would've been the first content list reveal. I later thought that I'd made a mistake, but it looks like that's what was originally planned 🤔

@LightandBreezy , I had Liberty this year, but lurked on this thread as I've been promised the Harrods BAC next year. I've purchased the U-beauty compound on Vinted and will start using it tonight as I've just finished the Wildsmith Copper serum from last year's F&M calendar.

The Ruby Woo and brow serum would have been dods for me, but everything else may have been used or gifted.

@JoRaRaRa that's interesting, I'd presumed shiseido was a day cream because of the spf. That said I can't imagine an evening routine that would involve the tacha, then the shiseido and then the Evidens mask - seems like overkill to me. Agree with your DoD's @keepincool and would add the mascara for me, only because it's not a tubing one, I've gifted that already. I'm still vaguely interested in the brow serum as I was a teen in the 90's and over-plucked as was the norm then - my left eyebrow never quite recovered so maybe this will restore it to Gallagher-like levels 😂

Yeah, it is a bit strange, why would you put the tatcha and shiseido on and then do a mask that washes off? Doesn't make sense 🤔 it was the day shiseido cream that we received, they must've changed it at some point. It would've been nice to receive the night cream as I felt the calendar was really missing a proper one.

Just popping back to this thread to see how everyone is getting on with the products - I didn’t start using any till Jan and have been working my way through them. Unfortunately I LOVE the La Mer cream… I don’t know if its all in my head but I swear my skin is so much softer, smoother and moisturised. I have bought a couple of extra ones from vinted but they run out so quick 😭 I also love the Sisley Toner, the Evidens mask and the MZ eye cream. Just about to start the Shishedo cream. I’ve really enjoyed the AC and looking forward to this years spoilers starting in the summer

I have not started mine yet because I’m going away for a month and will have time to try them out. I have just sorted what I’m taking with me so I can pamper myself.

I finished the last moisturiser in December and I’ve really noticed the difference going back to my usual brands.

I didn't like the Laura mercier mascara, I still used it, but I found it took me a lot of times of going over my lashes to actually get a decent amount of product on them.

I liked the la prairie foam cleanser but it has dried out my skin, so I've put it away until summer.

I love the Evidens mask, Mz eye cream and la mer moisturiser too. I've bought another evidens mask on vinted. I also like the valmont moisturiser but it's lighter so I've put it away until next month. The christophe robin hair mask is so nice that I've bought a full size tub of it.

I also love the ubeauty serum and have bought 3 more on vinted. Oops!
The Eye masks were nice but I've not rebought, I didn't think they were wow enough for the price. The 111skin Face mask is though, I already had a pack of them before because I love them!

The moncho conditioner leaves my hair soft and easier to brush, but I don't like the smell of it. The hourglass setting powder is very soft, nice and leaves my skin looking flawless. The blender is really nice too.

So some new loves 😍 and quite a few left to try.
