That's what I thought when they were all arriving, although I didn't buy one from vinted. I did though, open the 125ml from JL first instead of the 50ml from CB 🙈 Luckily I like it. But I'd recommend to do it the other way just incase you don't and need to sell it.

Yes that's what I was planning to do. I was hoping to have tried it by now but my current cleanser is still hanging on with a bit left in the bottle and I'm trying hard not to open too much at once. I'm using the AB cleanser at the moment and love it, for some reason that never appears in edits which is a shame.

Harassedevictee · 02/12/2025 08:41

@JoRaRaRa @BlueLimes Thank you. I will remember to try Vinted.

JMAngel1 · 02/12/2025 09:03

What’s in 2nd drawer? A cleanser?

What a lovely sis 😍

She is - but we have our moments! 😁

LightandBreezy · 02/12/2025 10:43

I'm very late to the calendar today, but pleased to get Day 2's foaming cleanser - not sure whether to try it now or not - I'm leaning towards cream or balm cleansers at the moment due to winter and I also have a glow recipe avocado one to finish but that could take a while. Never had anything from La Prairie though so interested to try.

@Harassedevictee I bought my calendar on a whim at an Hbeauty event, so put some of the freebies I got there into the calendar to make it even nicer. I bought it quite late, so I didn't remove the items I won't use to sell on vinted as it was saturated by that point. Weirdly the fairly small ( but very luxe of course) sizes in the HBAC was part of the appeal, feels more manageable!

@LightandBreezy thank you. This is only my second year of beauty advent calendars and I loved last years Harrods calendar.

Isabelle70 · 02/12/2025 18:13

@JoRaRaRa @OvaHere I like the texture of the cleanser and agree you don’t need much. It’s a bit stingy on the eyes, I go for an all over the face wash can’t be doing with a fancy eye cleaner! I feel that’s sometimes it doesn’t seem to get the skin really clean if I have been wearing makeup so I go for a second go. That could be more user error.

OvaHere · 02/12/2025 18:17

@Isabelle70 I always double cleanse on an evening using an oil or balm first so that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

JoRaRaRa · 02/12/2025 18:35

@Isabelle70 oh yes, I should've warned about that too, it can be stingy on the eyes. Like @OvaHere suggests, I use it after a cleansing balm so I tend to avoid my eyes anyway 🙂

JoRaRaRa · 03/12/2025 07:08

Love today's product, it's one of the items that really attracted me to the calendar. I've had a sample of it before and I loved it, so I'm really looking forward to using it again 😍

Isabelle70 · 03/12/2025 07:16

@JoRaRaRa I cannot use retinol but I think this is the lower version? Hope so as I finished a night serum up last week and this could be my new replacement.

LightandBreezy · 03/12/2025 07:58

I'm also happy with today's drawer, a full size Medik8 crystal retinal 6. I rate Medik8's retinals and already use a different formulation of theirs ( think that one is called retinoate ) so this will definitely get used and be useful!

So the number correlates to the amount of retinal used. 1 is for sensitive skin, 3 for beginners and 6 is for regular users. I would be very careful with it if you have reacted to it before. Maybe buy the 1 or 3 beginner level and build it up?

JoRaRaRa · 03/12/2025 08:01

Going to post my photo too 😍 Today was my first day that I had my ACs set up, I was super excited!! Though it's not as professional looking as @LightandBreezy 🩷

LightandBreezy · 03/12/2025 08:06

@Isabelle70 why is retinol something you can't use? This range is something designed to be built up, eg. You would start with CR3, and then switch to CR6 as your skin gets more tolerant, and the range goes all the way up to CR24 I think? My skin is pretty unreactive so would be fine using.this without building up. So yes this is a pretty gentle retinol but maybe a bit of caution is still needed if you have sensitive skin.

Ah sorry, bit off crossover with the Retinol messages, but yeah, basically what @JoRaRaRa said 😊

I've almost used up my current tube of this although I had bought the 10 to move up. It's so expensive though I will probably use this tube again then move on to the 10.

I love the formula and have never had irritation from it. It's even fine on my neck.

namechange0998776554799000 · 03/12/2025 09:15

I've just started retinal 1, planning to ladder up slowly (sensitive skin) so this will get used eventually! For those who use this regularly, how long does a normal tube last if you use it every day?

Once a day I feel like it lasts a good 3 maybe 4 months. My current one is almost done and I think it was summer when I started it.

namechange0998776554799000 · 03/12/2025 10:33

Good to know, it will be a while before I'm onto this one then!

Isabelle70 · 03/12/2025 17:35

@JoRaRaRa and @LightandBreezy thanks for the info. I have rosacea so can’t use any retinols. It’s under control but I don’t want a relapse so I won’t risk it and will look to move this serum on.
Fingers crossed day 4 is good!

LightandBreezy · 03/12/2025 18:24

@Isabelle70 that's frustrating for you, at least it's a very popular product from a well-regarded manufacturer, so hopefully it will sell well on eBay/vinted. RRP is £69.

I really hope I like this cleanser as I think I have 4 now. This one, one I bought on Vinted before impulsively buying Harrods BAC anyway, one from JL box and one from CB box. 😳

Report back please. Ive got one but no clue where from. 🤣
Obs dont have harrods advent 🤣
