Day 19 - feeling a bit sad that we're into the last week of calendar but excited by today's offering - another extremely fancy pot of moisturiser - I've been looking forward to this one even though I haven't ever used the brand and don't know much about it. Think it's more my curiosity about what justifies the insane price tag - this one rrp's at £698 for 50ml so our pot is £203 😰

@LightandBreezy I feel sad too that we're going into the last few days. Where has advent gone?! It's flown by! Even though I've been excited to open my ac and I've done a few things in December, I don't feel like I'm properly in the Christmas spirit 😕

I think this is the product I am most excited to try. I am expecting a full face lift for the price of this cream! 😂

Any Carol services near you this weekend? A non-tacky Christmas market? Or maybe a bucket of mulled wine, that'll do the trick 😂 My local cinema is showing Home Alone and It's A Wonderful Life so I might do a cinema trip before the big day. I'm a freelancer and weirdly I started a job today, so my festive cheer has temporarily been replaced by mild anxiety as the to-do list has suddenly doubled.

We've been doing a lot of Christmassy things, markets, shows, decorated houses, carol services, I even took my niece on a sleigh ride and to see santa. Oh and we went to Tallinn and Helsinki for the Christmas markets, but it's just been a stressful, crappy month 😕 we're going to the theatre tomorrow night to see nutcracker and have a family festive meal booked for Sunday, so hopefully if I can get my wrapping done tonight, I can relax and enjoy the weekend 🤞 although, I still need to get my dad something 🫩 Are you all sorted for Christmas?

I am not sorted for Christmas either, but that is partially my fault for spending a week in Tenerife this week! I still have to buy for my dad, my in laws and my eldest son. Plus I haven’t done any wrapping! 😳

@JoRaRaRa I'm almost ready present-wise, just a gift for my niece and my godson to go. Why I've left them this late I have no idea - any ideas for a 12 year old girl and a 9 year old boy gratefully received! I also messed up and accidentally sent the cat's presents to the wrong address, somewhere I was working a month ago, so I've just done an hours round trip in the car to pick it up - the delivery driver had just left it in the street and it was still there - a small Christmas miracle! I did spend a slightly daft amount on the little fluff so it was worth it 😅Other than that I've still got all the food shopping to do, that'll be a delightful part of the weekend no doubt 🙄It sounds like you've had some great Christmas activities, but understandable that a stressful month will take the shine off of things and also you've mentioned that you've had some extremely difficult times this year, so I really hope you do get some time to relax and take stock. Christmas can bring up a lot of feelings, and it's tough - please be as kind to yourself as possible 💖Hopefully the Nutcracker will be amazing too!

@pinkchampagne1 a week of winter sun sounds great, very restorative so a strong life choice there. I fucking HATE wrapping now, seem to have run out of patience with it. I've done about 1/3rd of mine and will probably do the rest muttering darkly after midnight mass. Won't wrap the cat's, pretty sure he won't care 😂

I'm pleased with today's, I've received it a few times in edits before, so it's not one I'm excited about as I've previously tried it. It's not my favourite face oil, it's quite thick, but it's really good for hydration so it's going to be perfect over the next few months 😁

I am happy with today’s. I have had a tiny sample size of this in a beauty box and it was quite nice. I have gone a bit crazy with face oils though, as recently bought the Charlotte Tibury and the La Mer face oil from Vinted. 😳

I don't usually use face oil. How do you layer it? I'm using retinol & moisturiser in the evening, do you use it on top of the moisturiser or underneath?

🤣🤣 I bought the la mer face oil on vinted too, it's still to be revealed in my Frankenstein calendar. I also received a small CT one in an edit so I've got a few to get through. I'm still working on a ab one and the elemis one from last year's AC too 🙈 I also got some others in a mystery box from OK beauty, but I might gift them, even though one of them is an expensive one.

I put it on after moisturiser. I put a few drops in my palm, rub my hands together to warm it and then press it into my face, rather then rub it. I don't use it every night.

I think you might have beat me on your face oil stash! 😆 I really didn’t need the La Mer one but saw it for a bargain price on Vinted and you know I can’t resist a bargain! 😂

Not sure I will keep this one. Even though I love AB I don't love face oils. My friend does so I may gift.

As discussed, Day 20 is an Augustinus Bader product, the face oil. I've had this before but don't remember much about it, it's not my favourite face oil but I'm pretty pleased to get one though. I'm currently using a biossance one and a Zelens one so this will have to wait a while.

I reckon we have about the same. The CT one I have is teeny tiny. If I merge the elemis, ab and CT ones, I might be able to get a full size bottle. Meaning that I have 3 FS bottles, AB, la mer and my mixture that I'm defo not going to do 🤣🤣
Actually, I don't have that yet, as I'm not meant to be able to remember that I have la mer in my Frankenstein calendar 🙊
