Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 Opening Thread

Hi, if you have the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar or are just interested in what’s inside, then please feel free to join in by posting your thoughts on each day’s contents.

If you have swapped out any doors, you can either skip a day here or just tell us what you have swapped in and why!

As is ‘usual’ on these threads, please try to avoid revealing each day’s contents before 7am UK time.

Actually it reminds me of Bella Freud’s “Je t’aime Jane” perfume which also starts with a strong violet top note and settles into a warm rounded scent.

Today has been such a good day for the Liberty & Space NK calendars. I had wanted to try this scent for a while. I love Santal 33 and used to wear Diptyque's Tam Dao. First impressions are very good. I like Bibbi's Boy of June and Ghost of Tom too. It's a good size.

No this one is not for me today either and I like Santal 33. Will put on the list to eBay!

I sold this one too. I quite liked it but I have a lot of perfume so I'm quite selective about which ones I keep.

This is a very perfume heavy calendar so far. Hopefully this is the last one

So disappointed with this calendar. Another dreadful perfume! Can't imagine who put this together. Definitely won't be buying another one. Makes me think poorly of Liberty as a brand.

Today's perfume is very sweet and floral on me but I like how different it is to the other two - it's more summery daytime. Will keep and try a few more times. I did know that the calendar is perfume heavy but never really worked out how high the ratio would be when opening! Hope a lush skincare product tomorrow.

I love today’s perfume. I’ve long since forgotten most of what’s to come in this year’s calendar but the main reason I bought it was because it had far more fragrances than the other multi brand calendars. I also replaced the things I won’t use like cleansers, make up and masks with perfume and some of the things from the HN calendar, so I shouldn’t have any DODs this year

Although this was a gift from my DH I went through the contents carefully, comparing it to all the other calendars, before giving him the go ahead to buy it for me. He surprised me by saying he wanted to buy it for me, but wanted to check first that I wouldn’t prefer another. It hasn’t spoilt the surprise as I’ve long forgotten what’s in it, but I do know that I’ll be happy with it overall.

Perfume today won’t be a “go to” scent, but it’s nice enough

I really enjoy trying the liberty and more expensive perfumes, they are always beautiful and I can’t imagine paying so much for a fragrance. However, 3 perfumes by day 7 seems a lot. Hoping we get something a bit different in the remaining days.

Love a Bibbi perfume, probably the reason I choose Liberty BAC now, long may they continue (still prefer Ghost of Tom though!)

Decided to sell mine on vinted, just not for me. It’s already sold I’m hoping it makes someone happy.

I think there might be few more perfumes to go? I’m enjoying trying them all even if 2 out of 3 haven’t been for me.

Have Liberty discontinued their fragrance advent calendar ? Because 3 fragrances in 7 days is a lot. Did they have a lot of stock they needed to dump ?

I can only remember Liberty doing one perfume advent calendar in the past, but they usually seem to have more perfume and less makeup than other multi brand calendars which is why I’ve bought it for the last few years. None of the other calendars this year had as many perfumes as Liberty. Like a previous poster said, I spend ages comparing the contents of each calendar before I decide which to buy so that I get as few drawers with things that I won’t use as possible. Then by the time 1 December comes, I’ve completely forgotten what is coming 😆

I really like the perfume, it reminds me of Parma Violets.

Im just writing down details of both fragrances as im the same with edits etc. Hope I can find my notebook in the future. I tend to misplace stuff 🤷🤣
Ive only recently joined scents of the day on mumsnet but theres loads of opinions and information on there when new edits are released. Some people also put on their scent of the day and explain it. 🥰

I've not tried the perfume yet - I kind of hope it does smell like Parma violets though as I loved the purple one we got in the latest beauty drop!

Gosh I had the lip tingle thing last night! Thought I was having an allergic reaction to something, I had worn the lipstick the day before. Shame as I really liked the lipstick! May try once more.
A bit annoyed it’s another perfume today, looking forward to some creams!

I've just tried the lipstick. Definitely minty and tingly. Batch 69171. I'm not a fan of the way it feels or looks. DD may like it though so I'll give it to her to try.

I’m really on the fence about this perfume. I really didn’t like it at first, to me it smells very strongly of leather and I personally find that rather unpleasant (I also get his from Santal 33 and have never liked it due to that). I was going to give it to my DH - but now it’s been on a while, a more feminine, powdery violet scent is more apparent and the leather smell is more of a backdrop. I’m not sure!

I think it’s the violet smell that’s putting me off!

I quite like today's perfume. I thought it was quite subtle at first, but it seemed to strengthen very quickly. I much prefer Zephirine though - my favourite so far.

I like todays perfume and prefer it over the one that smelled of tea (can’t remember what one that was now). Weirdly enough a woman at my work wears Santal 33 and I had to ask her one day what it was as I loved it so much. I then saw the price and thought I don’t love it that much 🤣 so I’m happy I have something that smells very similar!

I also went for this AC as it has lots of perfumes in it but I don’t think I remembered quite how many 😳

I really don't like the perfumes so far. I think fragrance is a very personal thing and not really suitable for an advent calendar. Have left Beauty Drop for that reason but hoped Advent calendar would be more beauty/make-up oriented. Won't be buying another unless rest of items are an improvement on those we've had so far.
