Hi, if you have the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar or are just interested in what’s inside, then please feel free to join in by posting your thoughts on each day’s contents.

If you have swapped out any doors, you can either skip a day here or just tell us what you have swapped in and why!

As is ‘usual’ on these threads, please try to avoid revealing each day’s contents before 7am UK time.

It’s a miss for me (97 lipstick gal!). I’m no guide though because I always wear strong colours, it was Dior 999 yesterday. I’ll be passing this on to my stepdaughter or Dil.

Spacing of the perfumes was not a spoiler on my part as I have absolutely no idea what the calendar contains.

I’ve had this calendar for the past 10 years or so and that’s why I was surprised to have like products so close together.

Must say I’m not impressed by this year so far. It’s the first year I’ve felt this way mind you.

Next year I’ll look over the contents before deciding whether to buy

Is the lipstick similar to black honey? I love black honey so would assume this is a posher version of it 😃

This is lovely, my favourite item so far. It’s not something I would ever have picked as it looks so dark but once it’s on it’s gorgeous!

I’ve not gone downstairs to open mine yet but I’m hoping this is one of the drawers thst I replaced with bits from the HN calendar.

For those worried about the shade, fear not!! This is it on my lips with quite a lot of application, it’s like a lip balm and it has a lovely tingly sensation when applied. Give it a go! After all the AC is for trying new things! You’ll love it, it’s really not goth like whatsoever

I wasn't keen when I opened it this morning but it was early and I was still half asleep! I'll give it a try when I get home this afternoon but I'm more hopeful than I was after your comments.

@Ilikeyoursleeves thank you! Great idea to show it on the lips for any unsure about trying it. Looks fab on you btw. I was a bit puzzled when you said slightly tingly -I didn't get any tingling at all. Wonder if it is supposed to kind of plump up at the same time then. Could be that my ancient lips are simply desensitised after all these years 😂

Yes, I did take this lipstick out and must have sold it on Vinted - I replaced it with a le Labo eucalyptus fragrance so am very happy 😊

I'm very happy with today's lipstick, it's very much up my street, and I'll definitely wear it.

And yes, it's very, very similar to Black Honey - which makes it annoying that I finally got around to replacing the the one that I lost on a night out literally last week! Oh well!

Is it sheer on? I didn’t try it as it looked so dark I figured I’d be regifting

@jay55it’s beautifully sheer. I think if you layer it, it would get darker. But a swipe and it’s a bit like your lips but better shade

Yes it goes on sheer and is very subtle. After my initial eeeek when I saw it I actually really love it now I’ve put it on!

Weird how no one else has felt it tingle?!!! I must have sensitive lips!

I was disappointed in this I thought it would be like Lipstick queen medieval. Not what it looks like in the tube and a ability to build impact balmy lipstick. This after endless applications I can't tell if I've got it on.

I think it’s sheerer than Black Honey as the magazines when I was in my 20s all said it suited everyone, but I found it too dark for me! That was 20+ years ago now though, so maybe I’m remembering incorrectly!

I sold mine when I first got the calendar. Cool tones make me look like the living dead, no matter how sheer 😆

Delurking to say I love this and have snapped up two (TWO!) spares on vinted for a fiver each.

I have given the day one perfume to my district nurse and she was over the moon with it. Better than the usual chocolate I suppose😀 trouble is, I have five district nurses so hopefully word doesn’t get out!

I’m absolutely thrilled with the calendar this year. So far I’ll use and enjoy everything (tbd on today’s, but I’m feeling optimistic!)

Very glad for this thread as I dismissed this lipstick immediately this morning thinking it was far too dark for me. It actually looks lovely on, looking forward to trying now!
