Not one that I would usually choose but willing to try. I’ll need to wait until tonight. Quite Excited!

PacificState · 05/12/2025 06:52

Hmm I think I have a different product! Will stay schtum in case mine is in the wrong drawer…

keepincool · 05/12/2025 06:53

I have this one already, I really like it.

Netaporter · 05/12/2025 07:05

I’m not sure about today’s lipstick. Is it one that is lighter when applied? I’m a pillow talk girl I’m afraid. We’ll have to wait for our 97 lipstick owning friend to deliver the verdict!

countdowntonap · 05/12/2025 07:14

@Netaporter it’s very light! I was hoping it’d be like Lipstick Queen Frog Princess, but it isn’t unfortunately. I also don’t like the oily finish on my lipsticks - think it could dry them in the long term.

Will keep in my work bag.

UntamedShrew · 05/12/2025 07:15

I love today’s one - will use it up and would never have picked it out (can say the same for the first perfume and the serum too). Very happy!

Seagullstopitnow · 05/12/2025 07:34

The old goth in me is delighted at today's!
In previous years my mum and I have had different shades in the byredo lipsticks.

Can we compare shades?

I got mulberry

Very goff. 😁

Circularmadness · 05/12/2025 07:34

hmmmm I like the colour (mulberry) and concept of this one but have put some on to test and it feels like it might be pretty drying

I got Mulberry too - hence asking if it is one of those lipsticks that looks dark but is actually light in shade when applied… for me, I wasn’t a fan of the Cure in the 80’s - more of a Twilight Teaser & Luther Vandross sort of gal 😂

narniabusiness · 05/12/2025 07:43

At first sight I was a bit taken aback by how dark it looked but on Trish’s website it seems quite sheer.
Value update. This costs £22 bringing us up to £175 so far.

I’m going to try it! I used to have a dark lipstick like this in the 80s which went perfectly with my black eyeliner and trilby hat…

narniabusiness · 05/12/2025 07:46

You lot can’t resist a spoiler can you? 🤣 Hints that day 5 is a bit niche, telling us how many perfumes there are and the four posts about the product before 7. It’s like being woken up early by a child that’s found it’s Christmas stocking.

WeAreBorg · 05/12/2025 07:48

Any pics for the nosy stalkers?
I got the Sixth in a scent kit and thought it was quite unpleasant

Lotsofpots · 05/12/2025 07:53

I’ve just put the lipstick on and it’s really sheer. More like a balm on me. I can’t imagine this being drying at all, it feels very moisturising to me.
As you’d expect from a lipstick that needs to work on all of us, it’s perfectly lovely but not a statement.

redluckycat · 05/12/2025 07:53

I’m very happy with today’s because as much as I love skincare and perfume I also love make-up and it feels more exciting and like a present!

I’ve swiped today’s and it’s very sheer with just a hint of colour, so looks very wearable (Mulberry). It says to wear it over lip balm too so I’m not worried about it being drying. Cost: £22

2025istheyeari · 05/12/2025 07:55

I love this! I’d never have chosen it but I put it on and found it moisturising, and sheer, it’s a bit like Clinique black honey maybe? Nice change from the reds you normally get! I think this year we all got the same. It’s a hit from me after yesterdays perfume!
good to have the running total, thank you! Here you go @WeAreBorg

Oh thank goodness the colour is not as dark on the lips. I got a bit of a shock when I saw this one this morning! Overall I’m feeling a bit underwhelmed at the calendar so far. I’ve not loved either perfume either - the offer doesn’t feel particularly curated just a random bunch of products. Hoping it improves….

Seagullstopitnow · 05/12/2025 07:55

Oooh it's so sheer! I like it! Not old goth at all, but very nice

teenagersandalittleone · 05/12/2025 07:58

This is really soft and subtle on - I like it and I am a normal pink girl

TheFutureIs · 05/12/2025 08:06

I absolutely love this one! I’d never have chosen the colour (or spent that on a lipstick!) so this is a real treat. Cheered me up whilst I have an awful UTI

Chickydoo · 05/12/2025 08:14

It's a yes from me, exactly the kind of lip balm I love for daytime. Very subtle and very moisturising

nearly61 · 05/12/2025 08:19

I've loved everything so far but slightly on the fence on this one as I'm thinking it might make my already thin lips disappear further. I think I'll follow the advice further up, thank you to the poster, and use it over lip balm to see if that sort of 'plumps' my lips first. But I do love the actual colour and I also love that it is so sheer. I'm very interested to check out other colours in the range now!

TreesinthePark · 05/12/2025 08:19

I never wear lipstick as I prefer lip oil/gloss. To be honest, if this was in a box I would gift it to someone but I'll take this opportunity to give it a try!

I have liked all other Trish McEvoy products I've tried so overall I'm happy with today.

I read the comment about the spacing of the perfumes and almost posted the same reply but realised that in itself is a spoiler.
I was on the main advent thread since July where we dissected the contents of every calendar before deciding what to buy but its important to remember these individual opening threads include people who are enjoying a daily surprise.

I loved Twilight Teaser, that's just brought back memories of shopping with friends in our local town .

Ilikeyoursleeves · 05/12/2025 08:28

i was quite surprised too by how dark it is but I wear a similar dark one I got in an AC last year and it goes on really beautifully and not dark at all.

This one goes on very sheer and lip balm like, actually really subtle so it’s a hit for me! Although I would’ve like the lipstick packaging to be a bit better than a plain black tube (there’s black writing on it but I can’t read it!).
