I love that Camilla evidently enjoys jewellery and is unafraid of the massive pieces. Is it the state banquet tonight? Hoping for lots of tiara action!

Love Char's burgundy/white collared outfit, Kate and Cam's lovely blue outfits and those fab sapphires! Max looks lovely in her white lace summer dress and hat!

I wasn’t sure about the five string pearl necklace Catherine had on this afternoon. Seems very old fashioned.

I was too hasty... Camellias! Definitely glamorous enough for a banquet and they grow brilliantly in Cornwall. Hope they include some now that I've remembered them (my excuse for forgetting is that it's a bit too cold for the autumn to winter-flowering ones up here).

It's hard to get excited about winter coats, but I do like the blanket stitch trim and side fastening on Camilla's - and the blingy brooch is an excellent addition for an occasion like today's welcome. The blue and black combo makes a pleasant change to all the browns we've seen lately.

I adore that necklace. Pearls are much neglected by the royals.

Oh my ! Kate’s hair is in such beautiful condition.

Looking at the photos the pearls look even odder with the diamond and sapphire earrings.

It’s a funny thing. My hair is going that way, I’m staying blonde, I reject grey and going longer. I just hadn’t had time to go to the hairdressers for a while and it’s grown a lot so I thought I’d see about going for something nearer to just above the shoulder length instead of my usual short style. I’m half way there. It’s not going well… 30 seconds of brisk breeze or just every morning when I wake up and it is not far off this look Camilla’s. But somehow more Bridget Jones after her car journey in the open top car.
I think it needs sapphires. That will sort it. Obviously.

OH I think Camilla uses the glue type hairspray. I've only once seen her hair misbehaving. That was in Scotland in a stormy visit I think. Their hats and tiaras must help anchor too.

Camilla has fabulous hair. So often, women her age have thin hair that exposes scalp and resembles candy floss.

Not always. All the older women in my family have had good heads of thick hair, which usually turns glossy white.

I'm going to have to catch up on the banquet tomorrow, so this is my plea for piccies of the flowers (or links).

The woman on both sides of my family all retained good heads of hair. On dad's side there is a tendency to go silver/white. On Mum's it's tends to be more salt and pepper (well actually it's not a nice and even as S&P more a random selection of grey clumps) so we tend to dye it or we look like we've been painting ceilings!

I like Kate’s hair down but not keen on any of the rest of it. Tiara too big. I’d really hate to put on a lovely dress and then have to add those hideous order things. They ruin it.

Dress is Jenny Packham and tiara is Queen Victoria's oriental circlet.

Rubies in the tiara, I think? Lovely contrast with the tanzanite blue shade of the dress.
