I really don't like anything about tonights outfit. Unflattering and an ugly tiara for her. Camilla is gatekeeping all the good stuff just like the Queen did.

Oh was reading about that tiara recently. I think she wore it to the state opening of parliament after Albert died. It's very beautiful.

Ah I said earlier in the thread that I thought she should wear that tiara! I think it suits her just fine in and of itself but it needed to be a slightly different shape. They may not have had it altered yet to fit her properly. I don't suppose anything will be altered until she's actually queen...and I don't even know if they would mess with it at all given that it's so valuable and all but irreplaceable.

Yes red or a very dark green would have been better.

Loving the emphasis on jewels linked to both Victoria and Albert (Camilla wore his sapphire brooch wedding gift to Victoria during the welcome and Kate wore the tiara he designed for her later in their marriage) - a nice way to mark the family links to Germany.
