You’re completely right, it would much cheaper!
I just don’t think it would have the same giftable wow factor.

That was my original plan but I let DS have one in advance, which was a bit weak lasting, so let him pick another, then he ended up having them all upfront 🙈😅

It wouldn’t be too bad if they offered the choice of a smaller bottle, it wouldn’t feel as much of a sting

My very first perfume was Coty L'Aimant creme perfume gifted to me by my grandmother. Very old school. I didn't really like it as even by the 80s it was quite old fashioned.

Mine was Kiku by Fabergé and would have been in the early 70s.

I remember Kiku. They had ads at Christmas for Kiku and Xanadu which seemed impossibly glamorous. Something in the range came in a yellow ball, my Dsis had it but it was forbidden 😁

I've had a closer look and I don't think I would use all of the items so have resisted. I've ordered a couple of kits from SK recently, and also have the Boots K-Beauty Box to try out and a Glow Recipe edit. But the box does look good.

Mine was Coty Exclamation - think you can still get it for under £10 in the same bottle.

I have a couple of the items already so it's not one I will get but I do think it's a decent selection for the price.

I can’t seem to access the kit in the link and really keen to try some k beauty. Very excitingly we’ve just booked flights to Seoul next October half term, so going to look back at @IlovePondrecommendations if I can find them and will definitely be coming back here to ask for advice for my ageing, peri oral dermatitis skin!!

@keepincool I can’t check atm as StykeKorean’s website is down for me, but the last time I loaded a basket of sale/reduced stuff code at SK: CLARE10 stacked with the other reductions.

Book hotels with free cancellation so you can change your booking if prices reduce.
Stay at least part of your trip in Myeongdong as that is where the night market is, plus all the beauty stores such as:

Daiso’s flagship store - which may be the most marvellous and bargainous shop ever, (except - possibly - Shinjuku’s Donki 😹)

Please don’t make my very expensive mistake and try to save on accommodation by going in ‘guesthouses’ as these may well turn out to be literal bedbug/fleapits despite the glowing reviews. We walked out of the bedbuggy/cockroach ridden place in Hongdae, (5 star reviews all over the internet🤷‍♀️), losing all the money I had paid for it and had to pay a small fortune at ten minutes notice to find another hotel!

eta we went to Japan in summer and stayed at a Henna hotel with dinosaurs who checked us in- bizarre🤣
