My Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex Eyeshadows arrived and I love them so thanks for the recommendations. Also the free bag is lovely too.

So now I’ve joined snk and have a £10 off voucher, can I ask for more recommendations from them? I don’t usually wear a lot of make up but I’m getting older and need it more now 😂 I’m thinking maybe a lip product so any recommendations to use my voucher on?

Also, I think you guys are going to get me addicted 😂

@Georgieporgie29 @JoRaRaRa I've just put mine on today. The Chameleon shade. I've put it on over lipstick as a sparkly topper. Also wearing one of the new Patrick Ta duo shimmers which are beautiful as a topper over a neutral matte. Going out shortly and I'm looking very sparkly.

I've been wearing the Kensington plum one a lot too. I also picked up a light pink l'oreal one which is really nice. I like putting them over lipstick too 😍 i keep wearing glittery eyeshadow and a highlighter with glitter in, I'm a human glitter ball at this stage 🤣 if you can't do sparkles at christmas, when you can you 💁🏻‍♀️

I might have made a detour to the nearest Aldi as if by accident after walking my dogs this morning and I got

VB dupes:
3 lipsticks which are actually beautiful. Quite small though. The red one is absolutely perfect and I really wish I bought a spare. I haven't tried the other two yet.
2 eyeshadows sticks which don't appear to be that special but are OK for the price and I'll definitely use them. Very inoffensive nice neutrals pearl and bronze but not very pigmented although they have quite a bit of sparkle.
I didn't bother with the eyeliners because I got one last time around and still haven't used because I don't use eye pencils - no idea why I bought it at the time.

I also got the AB dupe eye cream and serum. They had the rich and light creams as well. I used the original consistently for a couple of years as my main moisturiser and, hand on heart, wasn't impressed. So a dupe wouldn't convert me. But, but, but ... maybe the serum is magic and maybe the dupe version is decent. We'll see...

I missed out of the YSL concealer dupe which, in my opinion, is better than the original. Hopefully I'll replenish stock next time. I think it was available last weekend.

I really am tempted to go back for the red lipstick but it's a bit of a drive and I have lots to do today.

@Branster I shop at Aldi every Sunday, so I arrived early to have a look at the beauty stuff. Normally it opens at 9:30 for browsing and, typically, today when I was there it didn't open until 10 🙄 the beauty stuff was all spaced out across different aisles and sections which was annoying and they clearly put it out yesterday as some of it had gone already. I managed to get a dupe of the rich cream, I've already got the bader version to use but thought I'd compare and use the aldi one as a body cream. I also bought the caramel pencil which is soft and very nice. I bought the makeup storage thing and a gold bow hair clip. There didn't seem to be any lipsticks or eyeshadow sticks. My husband wasn't impressed though as yesterday I threw away a load of lacura cleansers and toners 🙈

The Aldi makeup launched today, I may have been up early to get there. DH will only brave it if we are there at opening.
I picked up two lipsticks, didn’t get the red and now wondering if I should have, the eyeliners, eyeshadow sticks and mascara. My store had plenty, to be fair it normally does and the shelves generally don’t get cleared out. I didn’t pick up any creams/serums as my cupboard is full and I don’t need any of them.
I missed the makeup storage item so will look online and then no doubt decide I need it.

Hi, I popped to Aldi just before noon and got a bronze eyeshadow pencil to try and the two shades of brown VB liner dupe. There were no AB dupes of any description. Either they hadn’t put them out or someone had bought every tray to put on eBay/Vinted - neither scenario would surprise me.

Feel free to congratulate me on leaving the lipsticks on the shelf as I have many, many already!

I then went on a tour of Boots branches to get my free mystery no7 gift with a £15+ purchase of no7.

Second branch lucky and very helpful staff in both, meant that I got the no7 future renew eye serum to try, (as I was out of eye serum), with 20% off and double points as it’s my birthday month, plus a free palette - see pic.

If you fancy a quick dash to Boots before they close today, my local staff said take up of today’s offer has been low so there should be freebies left.

I headed to the city today to do some Xmas shopping. Picked up my SNK Ndulge free xmas candle. I was expecting it to be a tiny one but actually it's quite decent at 210g. I was given Rose & Hemp - no idea if there's any variation as they went out the back to get it.

So if anyone else was sent a voucher (I know @IDontHateRainbows was) then it's worth the trip if you like a candle.

Edit to add - checked the website and the candle is worth £35

Annoyingly though I bought a nightwear set with the John Lewis 20% off, got home and the camisole top part of the set isn't in the bag. Only the pj bottoms and the robe. I'm certain it was all on the hanger at the till so somehow it's not made it into the bag. Going to have to try and find time to go back again and you can guarantee they'll have sold out by the time I try to get it replaced. 😩

Annoyingly, I lost the voucher for the candle. Not massively in to candles but I could gift or re sell it if i find it.

Escentual now have the PDM set back in stock so Ive asked if they will re sell it at BF price to me,considering the circs. I'm not holding my breath,.

After having my eyes shut throughout the Black Friday deals, I’ve realised that I need a discount for a fragrance that DS wants - it’s very spendy! 🙈
Fenwicks have 15% off currently, what’s the chances of Harrods/Selfridges/Harvey Nicks having another discount before Christmas?

Quite high I would have thought. Probably deals specifically on fragrance.

That’s promising, I would rather hold out for a bigger discount. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t think of it sooner

Me too, it does look really nice, but it's really expensive especially when you compare it to the recent advent calendars and edits (except liberty's most recent one 🤣)

I think they're both aimed at the spendy pressie market so definitely a no. Although if anyone in my life wanted to buy me a spendy gift I'd be delighted with one. 😄

Got the Lancome gift set this year. Was really up for the palette but I'm thinking of selling. On one side you have disco 80s glittery and on the otherside you have super matte. Plus I just bought the Too faced nude palette which I think works better. I'm keeping the face creams and serums though the creams felt so light I opened just to check there was something in there. and popping rest on vinted.

It’s Fragrance Du Bois - Lucius. We got a small one in the Harvey Nicks FAC and he loves it, but it’s sooo expensive - wish I’d thought this through before giving him things to try from the FAC 😅

There's £20 cashback on £135 spent at F&M on quidco today. I know it's not much but every little helps.

Can you not clean up on all the samples from the advent for sale on Vinted /ebay it might be cheaper

I've put this in DS's 12 day AC I've made for him when he returns from uni next week. I could end up with the same issue. 😂
