I bought the BBC Black Friday (£100) edit, they guaranteed a 30ml La Mer cream in each box.
This was a much better box for me over the Christmas Luxe Edit.

Hi this looks good. Where did you buy it please.

I’m doing a stylevana order - our lovely @OvaHere introduced me to some rather wonderful non-shiny SPF which I have fallen in love with!

Any recommendations for k-beauty must-haves? If I’m there I may as well have some extra fun!! And there are codes galore!

I really really rate the Laka lip tint I got in the mini suitcase edit earlier this year and Stylevana are doing some duo packs.

paristotokyo · 06/12/2025 12:54

@TragicMusewhat skin type do you have?

SPF my favourites are beauty of joseon relief sunscreen and skin1004 madagascar centella water fit sun serum. These are hg of mine. Lightweight, no white caste, sits perfectly under make up.

If you have dry/sensitive skin, I love the skin1004 centella ampoule. Hydrating and calming. Just lovely.

Dr ceauracle kombucha tea essence is a fab product, again very hydrating.

Shisheido eyelash curler is the best one I’ve tried. Holds the curl all day for me.

Agree with the tsubaki hair mask posted by pp.

Make up wise I don’t wear make up really so can’t advise on that too much but fwee pudding pots are fun. The fwee brand generally has some cute things. Romand lip tints are also popular. Tirtir cushion foundation also, but would be hard to shade match without trying in store first.

I love a stylevana haul. But do prepare to wait ages for delivery. But it’s worth it for the goodies as it’s cheaper than buying from the uk.

TragicMuse · 06/12/2025 13:14

Thanks @OvaHere and @IlovePond I got codes in my email so have some freebies and chose some really nice things to make the postage worth it!

V excited, I’ve not gone very far into k-beauty, it’s a whole new spendy world!

TragicMuse · 06/12/2025 13:16

Thanks also @Talisin and @paristotokyo!

I saw a video recently with Laka single shimmer shadows which looked really nice.

Also agree with @paristotokyo about the Kombucha essence, it's very good. As is the Mary and May Blackberry essence.

I've tried about 3 Tirtir cushion foundations but sadly they all pulled quite orange on me and I found them drying.

What I do really like but I couldn't find it on Stylevana is the Tirtir Mask Fit Tone up essence which is basically a skin tint with spf. They do 3 sorts - 2 are purple/green colour correcting I think and the one I've got just the standard in a white bottle. The coverage is fantastic and it stays put all day. I think I got it as a freebie and it's one of the better tints I've tried.

Edit to add - it's basically one shade though so if you're not on the fair to very pale spectrum forget it.

I really like the LF Gwp. I currently have something for £126 that I really want in my bag, I was going to purchase it last night but I was trying to find a better discount code. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could spend £24 on? 🤣 As a lover of ab rich cream, it's worth spending the extra money for that alone.

I'm also really interested in the aldi lacura AB dupes, have they done them before? If so, has anyone tried them? And what about the eyeshadow sticks? Are they any good?
Are the eye pencils meant to be dupes of victoria beckham pencils?

IlovePond · 06/12/2025 14:26

@OvaHere - I have a tube of the blackberry stuff. How are you using it?

Thanks

Hi this looks good. Where did you buy it please.

That will be Bridal Beauty co think. Some mixed reviews though it's very tempting.

Hicupping · 06/12/2025 14:40

Weirdly I've ended up with a 125ml of De Marly's Althair in the orange bottle. No cap. I bought a bunch of stuff the JL used for photography and it was in there. Looked so cheap gave it to my Dad but he didn't want it. Then found out it was £200+. Looks absolutely genuine everything's right in bottle design and is not the fake bottle but no cap, no box etc so don't feel like I can sell it on Ebay.

Hicupping · 06/12/2025 15:08

It was a one off, never to be repeated sadly and it was the only beauty item in there.

JoRaRaRa · 06/12/2025 15:11

Anyone else who bought the Elle magazine a few weeks ago (22nd Nov), have you received yours yet? I'm still waiting on mine 🤔

QueefofSheena · 06/12/2025 15:35

@JoRaRaRa I haven't had mine. They have finally taken the money despite sending me a letter saying there was an issue with payment, no idea what as I didn’t contact them as it seemed a massive faff. I guess I’ll see. DH bought me the subscription yesterday with 3 CT wands but that’s not due to be sent until Feb

I subscribed too as I'm actually quite excited about reading the magazines 😍

Do you mean the essence or the cream? I think they do a cream too.

I have used the essence which is a bi-phase creamy, hydrating essence I tend to use it the step I would use a toner if I want something more moisturising. You have to shake before use.

Thanks @OvaHere - I have the thin black tube - probably the cream.

I've not heard anything since they took my £ on 23rd November.
