It's dark green.
Big party coming up - lots of people, some i don't know - i'd like to look glam but not stand out too much. I'm hour glass and bustier than the model.

Nude kitten heels? Nude tights?

Or should i try to find some dark green shoes? Or is that too matchy?Dark tights with dark shoes? Bare legs?!

I don't get out much these days! Haven't dressed up for ages. What are your thoughts?

I like it , lovely colour and shape, how about black sparkly shoes and bag ?

Laiste · 12/11/2025 19:48

Than you 😊
yes i've got a black bag but not sparkly sadly.

It looks like it might be an 'easy' dress to wear. Walking about, sitting, standing. I just want something which stays in place and doesn't need special bras ect. (will get the spanx out tho 😳)

Gold or nude flat sling backs would look good. Bare legs would be best.

IsThisLifeNow · 12/11/2025 19:58

I agree with bare legs, its a lovley dress!

justabigdisco · 12/11/2025 20:02

Lovely, where is it from?

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 12/11/2025 20:05

Black shoes and bag.

canklesmctacotits · 12/11/2025 20:08

Bare legs, red suede shoes!

Laiste · 12/11/2025 20:10

Hmmm ok - bare legs and black or nude shoes 👍
I have some nude low sling backs; i'll post a pic of them.

Ill do a link for the dress, it's Blue Banana.

Oooh lovely dress! Good choice. Agree with pp - you could get away with all of those shoe and bag colours.

canklesmctacotits · 12/11/2025 20:19

Yes, red! I think matchy-matchy, or "tasteful" (meaning blending into the background, thinking the sequins are already too much) can be very ageing, very Daily-Mail-says-this-is-what-a-50yr-old-should-wear-to-dress-up. But a bright colour with a 'sensible' heel (ie not stilettos, more like a kitten or low pump) can be just the thing. The shape of the shoe should be comfortable and sensible, the colour will do all the talking.

Laiste · 12/11/2025 20:34

Oooh Cankles you've inspired me!

I do struggle with dressing and adding something which lifts me out of boring but avoids mutton as lamb vibes.

Please no nude shoes, they’d have nothing to do with the outfit!

I’d go either black or silver depending on your colouring.

BrinkWomanship · 12/11/2025 20:46

Or bronze. Or silver. Or gold. Or pink. Or red. Or any bloomin’ colour. So many options!

Or if you’re feeling more casual it’d look great with a biker jacket and black boots.

Bare legs, red suede shoes!

Definitely not red! Have you not heard the rhyme? Red and green should never be seen

Laiste · 12/11/2025 21:21

🥲

Ive been browsing red shoes!

I'll show you the ones i fancy ...

TacticalFuckery · 12/11/2025 21:23

100% agree with red shoes. Not with dark tights.

Laiste · 12/11/2025 21:25

Either of these?

I wondered if red and green might be a bit too xmasy ...

Re biker jacket - i have a black leather jacket i'd probably wear over it on the walk to the place. But i imagine ''velvet and sequin'' is probably going to be quite hot so i'll be throwing it off asap.

It is fab and amazing! Enjoy!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/11/2025 21:30

I’d go with black. Definitely not red, and no more sparkles. Black suede would be my first choice,

Unreserved · 12/11/2025 21:31

I'd go for a darker/burgundy red suede to reflect the shade of the dress.

schoolsoutforever · 12/11/2025 21:34

Black shoes, maybe kitten heel slingbacks?
