I used to be able to sell slightly used as 'new other" and get away with it but thanks to bloody AI they can tell straight away and remove the listing.

SOTD another13 by le labo. The first scent to get me into thinking about having more that one scent on the go.

I think it’s divisive but I love it. Can’t describe it but it’s an iso E one so rein it in when I wear it in public.

On a separate note, if anyone sees Mojave Ghost in good discount, please shout. Xmas present.

I am happy with the Escada fruity/juicy perfumes I have, they are fraction of the price and have very similar vibe. Hard to find where to sniff in store in Ireland but I have few from trips to Spain. Bail Paradise, Flor de sol have similar vibe - to name few. They don't have as much PR support as Commodity Juice or Ellis Brooklyn guava granita but imo are the original fruity fresh and just s good if not better and also cheap

@Lurkingshark I really like it too. But yes very divisive. I saw it described as smelling like the sweat of a sexy person, and that nailed it for me, as mental as it sounds 😂

SOTAfternoon, Ataratma again, Kama Carnal this time. It's a soft, sweet, floral blend that's gentle and pretty. There's something warm about it, so it's a comforting fragrance that makes it perfect for wfh. One of my faves from the set 😍

I have some Kayali samples which I’ve never tried before. So my posts are going to be more interesting I promise 😂

I’ve got Kayali Pistachio and chocolate which they sell as a “Dubai chocolate” combo set to wear together, I am looking forward to trying that.

I've been wearing a sample of Elie Saab Parfum Absolu today and yesterday was Commodity Juice. Really like both of them as sweet, fruity type scents but both still work for this time of year. Elie Saab reminds me of CH scents, quite mainstream but very wearable.

A nice alternative to a lot of the heavier scents I gravitate to in autumn/winter. Neither are too expensive to pick up in smaller sizes so I might keep an eye out over the sales period.

I got a tester set from Saltworks. I’m very allergic to most of them. Anyone else?

I have the new discovery set that came out a fortnight ago. A few scrubbers in there: Bambooshka is just too green for me. Like dandelion sap. Copa Cabana; my notes just say ‘euuuurgh sour! ‘. I love Tabac Nuit; deep dark vanilla and Cherryoakee which is like a warm Bakewell tart.

Did a very quick visit to one of our niche frag stores today and I tested out BTSO dirty rice. It’s so weird as I can’t smell it?? The tester was almost finished and the lady working there was being a bit stingy so I’m not sure if that’s why but she gave me a test strip, I then asked to test on skin and I literally only smell the most fainted of whiffs. I wanted to try dirty milk mostly but they didn’t have it. I also tested BDK impadia which on first sniff I absolutely loved. This is a juicy fruity floral. Then after 20 mins I was like no this isn’t for me at all. But I find myself sniffing my wrist constantly and I think I like it again. A wild ride with this one. It’s very reminiscent of pdm delina so if that’s not your vibe, you won’t like it. But it’s a fruity rose scent with vanilla undertones. More vanilla than delina. I need to sample it properly I think. The bottle is also very pretty.

Trying few of the advent minis this morning.
Rabanne Olympéa Absolu Parfum Intense - this smells more intense and complex to my nose then the notes suggest and I will not be buying bigger bottle, even a travel, as it's not my type of scent. However I like it more then I thought I would and happy to have the 6ml. Apricot, jasmine, vanilla are the listed notes but it's ambery to my nose. I will wear it on night out. I may see if it compares to some of my ambery vanillas at some point as it feels familiar

Rabanne Million Gold for Her EDP 5ml - it's pretty. Beachy sweet without being too sunscreeny. I will enjoy using it up, but sure if I would like 10ml at some distant future time :) need to get to know better in the right season.

My rating remains same, better if you have males to share it with, fun little advent of you want to explore designer scents. Respectful 3.8 out of 5.

Excellent review @MiaN your choices from the PS AC are very similar to mine. I’m keeping Lancôme and YSL too. I’m thinking of putting the men’s ones in crackers and putting something nice in my one 😁

SOTE was Tocca Cleopatra, which I managed to spill down my arm. Ok, but I wouldn’t RP

I love Impadia. I only have a tiny sample I've been using sparingly, I think it's the best BDK scent I've tried. It is quite Delina like but with a twist. I wouldn't mind a bottle at some point.

Hm... I am not going to get on with Rabanne Olympéa Absolu - from look fantastic. I left it on my wrist while walking the dog and it's clearly not a me scent, but it will be gifted as I know few people that will appreciate it. That's why buying after first sniff isn't good idea, as I did years ago. First the dry down can be different, second even if not it may not impact your energy & mood in way you do not like.

I tried BTSO Dirty Rice in Harrods, you can’t smell it at all on paper. On my wrist it was nice but your nose has to be right on your skin. It did last but the sillage was always very very low.

@OvaHereI would love a 10ml I think, to test it properly. It is a very pretty scent and I enjoy the vanilla notes

@BakeOffRewatchI was so confused by it! Like I got a dud. I was assuming it would be one of those gourmand heavy type of scents.

Bibbi Vanilla Factory today - from the liberty scent kit. I do like this one, it's quite a strong deep vanilla. I seem to be getting back into vanillas as I was on the mat prem vanilla powder yesterday as well. But this one I think is even nicer.

SOTD Parfums De Marly Delina. Never tried a PDM before.

Well firstly, I went downstairs and DH said “OOH you smell really nice” when I kissed him, rather than the sarcasm I’ve been getting recently like “Oh thought I was in the Liberty fragrance hall for a minute” 🙄. So that’s good I suppose. It’s kind of made me rationally not want to like it 😂. I like it but don’t think it’s “me”. I want to compare with Vilhelm Parfumerie Peony Couture, on Fragrantica the reviews say they’re similar. I don’t perceive PDM as a modern brand, based on name and bottle design so that might be influencing my opinion on it.

I wish the websites would let people sell opened perfumes with correct categories available. It’s not the same as bacteria growing on a powder palette. Then us consumer wouldn’t be second guessing listings. There’s someone selling a bottle of Vilhelm Parfumerie Peony Couture they said they got two as a gift so why is the one they’re selling unsealed? Could be true and then it’s a bargain or could be half used!

Just reading the PDM wiki page “Parfums de Marly is a French niche perfumehouse.[1] Its fragrances are inspired by the 18th Century French era and the splendor of the Royal court. ” Good to know my perception is accurate 😂. Do we all want to smell like the 18th century French royal court? I want to smell fresh, feminine, floral and modern. I’m not sure what I mean by modern and even “modern” feels a very 1990s-2010s term.

Continuing with the Byredo grand discovery box and I really don't like Blanche - getting haze air freshener vibes, could be a contender for fart spray? (I think this is the term now for perfume so awful its only use is to cover the smell of farts?) Anyway not one for me, but I am still liking the animalique (powdery, violety) and slow dance (ambery, vanilla)
