I still haven’t succumbed to the Liberty Scent kit. That may change if it’s still in stock once my account updates 😁

SOTE was Love by Kilian from a discovery set. It’s strong & sweet, really reminded me of something else. I like it but I’d only RP a small size due to cost.

SOTD is Dylan Purple. I keep coming back to this as I like a strong fruity floral and it still works in cooler weather. I’ll be moving onto the boozy and oud scents soon.

SOTD Rose of No Man's Land from the byredo kit. I do like this- it's a gentle, not too sweet rose. I reckon I am exploring my rose horizons a bit lately and this is the ideal way. Not sure I'll ever be completely in to Rose but I'm definitely enjoying exploring it and it's been a revelation to me how some scents I have always thought I didn't like but then got in to as I've gone along my perfume journey.

Still to try it @MiaN - I'm pacing myself. It sounds interesting though

SOTD is Kayali Majesty Rose Royale from the CB Gwp. Today is a different kinda day, we're just going to do the food shop, run a few errands and then get things sorted for getting the Christmas decorations up next weekend 🎄 (I know it's early but I won't have any other time to do it ✌️)

This perfume is bright and uplifting, great for a productive day, but I still want to smell put-together and feminine, so this ticks the box for today😊

Surprise hit this PM is Charlotte tilbury star confidence from CB GWP . Dry down is lovely, but if patchouli and oakmoss. Would have discounted this outright based on packaging ( bad I know), but I’ll see snd possibly hoover up other samples!

SOTD was Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit. Went to visit the DGC and decided it's one of the most child friendly scents I own.

I sniffed Veronique Gabai Délices des Bois and I liked it, however I decided it will be better to properly test it in January when I start dreaming of spring!

Am wearing this today too and agree the dry down is lovely. Wish the sample was bigger.

SOTEvening: Shay and Blue Amber Oud Ahad from TPS Essence Deluxe discovery box. It is gorgeous! 😍 I'm so pleased with this one. It feels plush, warm, floral, and softly enveloping. It has a cosy amber glow, a touch of delicate florals, and a gentle oud that feels elegant rather than heavy. A perfect, quietly luxurious winter evening scent. I can't wait to wear this one out 💁🏻‍♀️

SOTE is ariane grande mod vanilla. This is my new cozy bedtime scent I think - replacing Ambre Vanille.

It's a delicate but not weak vanilla scent with a hint of plum.

In John Lewis earlier and I had a spritz of l'homme a la rose by MFK. which is a nice fresh not too sweet rose. So I'm definitely going through a rose-curious phase. It was nice but not enough to want to buy it.

Thank you 🩷 You should get yours open and start trying them 😉 I've nearly tried everything in it now. Overall, I think it is a great box and I've found some new loves 😍 I have noticed that they've put the price up for the box. I didn't think that many people actually received the box in the end 😕

@JoRaRaRaAlso adding I love your descriptions, I have no idea how to describe a scene they either go in the love, like or give away categories when I am trying them.

I paid for the Perfume Society box so am looking forward to trying some of them as sound like ones I would love.

Never heard of the brand before but I'm a real perfume addict in recent years and couldn't resist. I'm not a SOTD regular poster but keep up with it along with advents, Liberty and the freebies/GWP thread. I think this brand is worth checking out for anyone whose a buyer of niche scent kits/edits discussed across those threads.

Tried that in a sample but it seemed quite weak, maybe my noseblind nose! Ive not been a fan.of her perfumes, big hoo ha last year when the first batch were released, this is a new one. The only thing I thought they were good for was giggles with my single but always looking friend when I gave her the one called 'more sex'.

Bal D'afrique from the byredo kit. Haven't usually been a fan of this and I think I can go so far as to say I don't not like it. Perfectly pleasant as a sample but it will never be a great love of mine. It's nicer than I remembered from previously though.

Not sure what I will wear to work -office day- tempted to take off the BDA and put the Mo Ghost absolu on.

SOTD - Burberry Goddess. It's ok, I have 10ml and much prefer Mon Guerlain in the vanilla/lavender category so it may end up candidate for declutter. I am definitely due a good long no buy/declutter as I feel I have too many and good few likes - I want to cut down to loves.

I watched Francis Kurkdjian interview over the weekend, and interestingly he does not wear any perfume on his days off. He is the owner of MFK, creative director in Dior, creator of many perfumes such as Green Tea, La Male and also the overhyped Baccarat Rouge 540.

@IDontHateRainbows I like that type of rose. I recall liking the two roses from MFK and liking the homme version more. Also try DS&Durga Rose Atlantic - that's another fab fresh, modern unisex rose. I personally opted for PDM Delina La Rose (30ml) and have Eau Rose Diptyque 10ml form set, and that is enough for many years as while I like the type of scent, I don't feel like wearing one very often.

Elizabethan Rose from Penhaligon's is another one I have tried, but the bottle is dabber and they just don't work for me, putting me off considering it as candidate. I don't think I like it as much as what I have anyway.

SOTMorning: Farina 1709 Original Eau de Cologne 🍋 from the PS essence Deluxe box. This apparently (don't quote me on this) is the oldest fragrance still sold today.

It starts with a sharp citrussy burst, it's very traditional, clean and medicinal. I find it weird that they've included this as well as the boadicea one from the box, as they both start off citrussy - why 2 in the same box? As someone who isn't a massive fan of citrussy fragrances in autumn winter, I really notice this so it's a tad bit disappointing. I think I'll put it away until spring and see what I think then. But this one is a big nope from me right now ❌

I actually did end up liking the boadicea one as it has a creamy amber base and the citrus isn't as sharp, but 2 citrus fragrances in 1 box isn't needed 😕

I've a few more to try, but when I've tried everything, I'll do an overview of the full box 😊

Thank you 🩷 sometimes they do just go into the love, like and dislike with me, especially if I've no idea how they make me feel. I have some that I feel are sparkly, but I've no idea why 🤣

I'm looking forward to hearing other people's views on the Ps box, I've really enjoyed trying the fragrances out and there's a few that I'm so glad are now in my collection and I will wear 😍

This is very fruity. I put it on 3 hours ago and that top mango note is still there being very juicy and fruity, it smells like a real flavourful mango. Warm base, so nice and cosy rather than summery.

Call For A Good Time for me again today. I’m still going through the Discotheque discovery set but I bought a larger one of this along with ‘Cowboys’ on Vinted as I like them both. Cowboys was a grower, I wasn’t that keen at first

I'm still going through the Saltworks Limited Edition Discovery Set. Yesterday I tried Kami Tonka, which I liked initially, but less as it dried down, although I find it hard to say why.

Also tried Apple Tipple, which seemed quite fresh and fruity but I didn't really get any booze. I haven't tried Kilian Apple Brandy but I'm guessing that would be much better.

Today I've gone with Tabac Nuit (the new one) on one hand and Tabac Soleil (old one) on the other. I far prefer Tabac Soleil. It's a long time since I first tried it and I think my tastes have changed a bit, but I'm pleased to find that I do still like it quite a lot.

Anyone noticed that black friday starts around 1st Nov now? And the price of everything has gone up but then they can't sell them as no one has much money, so they just end up discounting anyway? Crazy!

I think they increase the prices to silly amounts so they can subsequently say "Now 50% off" when in fact it's only about 20% less than a price anyone would have actually paid.

I was looking at holiday with tui, and the prices shoot up 200 euro out of nowhere week ago. Just to get black Friday offer of 200 euro this week!

Back to Velvet Aura for the evening, and I may just enjoy it for the rest of the week. I recall Francis Kurkdjian saying if a perfume doesn't suit you, if it doesn't feel like you, you can't get through the day with it! Well, Velvet Aura feels like me scent, and I can't get enough of it right now
