@Sexentric I like Granado as a house- lots of variations, ok price point. My fav is boemia, but I’ve tried 4 or 5 others. I understand it’s a bit like Floris is here, but in Brazil -old fashion chemist type brand. Persolaise had a nice video about them.

I ordered my perfumes today into scent profiles. It’s a pleasing thing to do. I also sorted my diy perfume advent, which is 17, so it’s gone into an old 12 day one and the family has agreed each gets a 2 day test. 4-40somethings are all equally excited. There are two discoteques in there so I like the good reviews. Wondering about getting another CB stocking to stock up but I’ve only tried the Vanilla Haze in it so it’s just BF madness taking over!

Vanilla Haze is lovely and worth getting for that alone - almost. Commodity milk is good too.

Flowerbomb tiger lily today. It's very summery - not quite sure why I'm wearing it on a cold November day as I like to be seasonal with my perfumes although of course anyone can wear whatever they want whenever they want.

I'd describe it as fruity and coconut milky - reminds me a little of sunset hour.

Pink tax! I hate it when they do this. Carolina Herrera are the worst offenders as the bad boy gift set is like £78 compared to £98 for the good girl ladies equivalent.
Also I find myself getting irrationally annoyed at how JPG mini sets are the same price BUT the mens are 3 x 7ml and the ladies 3 x 6ml. Why????

Pdm are bad for it too. The men's aftershave is quite a bit cheaper then the women's perfume 😡

I have a big birthday in March and am being treated to a long weekend in Paris. There will be shopping and possibly more treats while I'm there. Any recommendations for perfume / beauty shops to visit?

Off into town and there may nor may not be the obligatory trip to selfridges - tbh I rarely buy frag in there as they don't seem to do the minis/travel sizes much, it's all full bottles. So it's usually just for a recce.

Tempted to possibly swing by House of Fraser as the beauty boxes are reduced online, and the crackers may be in there. I refuse to pay the stupid £7 delivery fee.

I may be doing the same. So also interested in recommendations.

Trying the Phlur Cherry Stem sample again. I don't think I like this as much as I might have first thought. I don't hate it, it's just okay I guess - a bit gummy bear crossed with cough syrup. It's not going to be one I purchase.

I've raided the Cult Beauty stocking and I have Fugazzi Vanilla Haze Extrait on my wrists and Discotheque Heathens, Cowboys and the Santa Ana Winds on an elbow. I've tried the Vanilla Haze previously (Extrait, not tried the original,) and I like it a lot for this time of year.

I'm not getting the unpleasant (urinal?) smell someone mentioned with the latter yet, in fact I'm finding it interesting. Waiting to see how it changes as it dries down.

Going out and have put on Commodity Milk Orchid.

Haven’t worn perfume in a few days after my little one wouldn’t cuddle me “I want to but your perfume is too strong”. I was only wearing Commodity Milk Orchid but had just sprayed. Think it did my skin good to have a break though.

I worry about this when I go visit DGC so if I wear scent I try to go with the inoffensive stuff.

Stayed mainly strong in town, it was rammed, but did get my mitts on the HOF beauty box. Its not as good as last year's, but ok for £60. There was a Burberry Goddess dabber that I've been meaning to try. Its nice but I think I prefer the intense. Also Michael kors pour femme and a rituals body scrub that ill keep. Have listed the rest to hopefully make back the £60.

Think im getting beauty box/ calendar fatigue and didn't think I would ever say that! Kind of dreading BF now in a way.

SOTE is Brompton Immortals from Harrods fragrance AC. I've tried my friends but this is the first time opening mine and wearing it. Like it a lot. Along with Valaya the best of the AC.

It's a very sophisticated, adult scent iykwim. I don't think I have a lot of those. This manages it without being 'elderly aunt'. I don't think it's especially seasonal either - an all year round sort of profile. It maybe leans a bit Spring if I had to pick a season.

Still can't decide what to do with FDB Rude Oud. I quite liked it but probably wouldn't wear it as it's slightly too masculine for my tastes. Have been debating gifting it to SIL but it seems a very marmite scent from what I've read. He could really hate it. As it's cellophane wrapped I might be best selling on but unlike the the others I sold from the AC I'm weirdly attached to this one.

I think rude oud is a grower. I sprayed it on me at the hbeauty event and I really didn't like it, even though the beautiful bottle and the price was willing my heart to love it 🤣 but after about half an hour, I smelt it again and liked it. I few hours later, it had dried down to a really nice, not as in your face fragrant. I think if I decide to keep it and wear it, I will spray it at least 30 mins before leaving the house 💚

Also, I can't wait to try Brompton Immortals 😍

I can see that. I suppose that's my concern about gifting it. The recipient is likely to make an instant judgement.

It does sound really nice wrote down like that, but it is really strong to begin with. I can't wait to try it properly, I hope I can fall in love with it 🤞

It was a while ago I smelt it but I remember the Raspberry came through very strongly at first which I liked but then it settled to being a bit like Tom Ford Ombre Leather which is too male for me but smells gorgeous on DS.

I think gifting it to one of the two male family members who like scent poses the opposite issue to me. They'll smell the early Raspberry/Floral notes and possibly not like that.

I’m having a look at rose, raspberry, saffron scents. Has anyone tried these?
