Knee high boots

I am in the market for a pair of knee high boots with a heel. To wear with knee length dresses and longer dresses

i tries the boden pull on boots and the heel was good but my ankles are slim but my calves are not so much and they looked a bit wrong. And saggy round the ankle.

I was thinking these?www.johnlewis.com/geox-serilda-60-leather-knee-high-boots-black/p113775823?size=eu39

But not sure so was wondering if any of you shoe experts had any suggestions!!

I bought those Ralph Lauren ones!!! The didn’t look like leather and dug into the back of my knees (too high) and were very wide in the calf so sent them back. Still looking for the perfect pair!

Ooooh good to know ... I've been lusting after them but might give them a miss. They are beautiful though in the photos!

I have the John Lewis Sadie Suede boots. They are very comfortable. Easy to run for a bus in or wear to an event where you are on your feet for ages. The elastic back means they fit well and give a flattering shape. Nevertheless they are suede so I don’t wear them if it is at all likely to rain. Also if I am wearing slightly shiny tights under them they sometimes slip down a bit. Other than that they have been a great buy.

@Bruisername - have you had a look at Fairfax & Favor? They are expensive but come in lots of styles, materials, heel heights and calf widths (they do narrow fit for slim ankles/calves).

Bruisername · 28/10/2025 21:58

I’ll have a look. Thank you!

I think my problem is my calves are not slim but my ankles are so o can’t decide if knee high boots even work for me!!

What about Duo? They do different calf widths so you have more chance of getting some that fit…

I recently bought these, I have quite narrow ankles but wide feet and calves. The wide fit version fits well in the calves for me and they have a heel but not too high

AxolotlEars · 28/10/2025 22:32

Duo boots are brilliant
I recently bought some from Hotter shoes that are wide calf boots

EcruCardigan · 28/10/2025 22:36

I was going to say Duo but someone beat me to it.

It’s not that I need wide calf boots - the boden ones fit perfect on the calf. The problem is the look because my ankles are skinnier - it made the boot look full at the top and saggy at the ankle!

I like the duo and fairfax&favor so will have a good browse

the dune ones are nice but the heels is a little low but will look there too.

I like these, not sure what the calf width is like though.

They're reasonably wide, I have wide calves and I almost got into them. Gutted I didnt though, Wanted the brown ones

CindyJane · 30/10/2025 17:50

Love Pikolinos. It’s a brand from Portugal. Bit of a pain though as not all of their boots are stocked in UK stores.

EcruCardigan · 30/10/2025 18:02

@CindyJane , It's Spanish. I like their shoes.

So the problem with the Boden boots was that they made my calf look fat because it was like a triangle from the ankle. DD said this was bad 🙄

so what style of boot would stop that - something bulkier at the ankle so with a buckle or something?

Bruisername · 30/10/2025 18:15

The pikilino ankle boots are nice and solid looking

Glitchymn1 · 30/10/2025 18:15

Knee high or more half way? So many aren’t actually knee high for me.

Bruisername · 30/10/2025 18:16

I need them close to the knee so they don’t cut off at the widest point

EcruCardigan · 30/10/2025 18:18

Which Boden ones were they?

I can't decide if I love or hate them 😇

EcruCardigan · 30/10/2025 18:37

Thanks. I'd go for ones that are more structured.
The Boden ones look cheaper than they cost.

@Glitch8 , I don't like them but I can see them appealing to some people.
