Converse~ they have become a staple for me and can be picked up cheaper in the sales.

Clinique~ specifically their cleansing balm and DDML

Ultraviolet -specifically their tinted SPF 50
which I wear with bronzer on the top.

Aussie leave in conditioning spray-
perfect for taming my hair on a morning

Longchamp le Pliage bags-I have been buying these for 15 plus years and they are perfect for shopping trips, trips to the gym
and small and short breaks away.

Mulberry bags of old, my Bayswater
from the days when they were at the height of their popularity were fantastic quality.

Amazing thermal tights by Calzedonia that look sheer but are as warm as leggings.

What brand do you use? I'm a size 42 extra wide fit and struggling to find good quality shoes.

Josef Siebel have been my go-to brand (as well as Gabor), another quality German name. (43 wide 😬)

Silverbirchleaf · 18/10/2025 17:33

Decent brand coats and shoes (although I do have some cheaper shoes for occasional use). I’ll never skimp on these.

Maybelline 24 lipstick - lasts all day

Josef Seibel’s Rosalie 13 are my summer shoes . Hate open-toe sandals, so these serve as my sandals and can be and can be worn with jeans, shorts or dresses.

TheSaltedCaramelPath · 18/10/2025 17:35

La Roche Posay - for quality facial sunscreen, also use their quality body creams as economic face cream with good results.

Aveeno - baby lotion, surprisingly, giving a lovely matte, smooth and comfortable result on my face - much better than my usual Garnier/Olay offerings.

Temple Spa - bath oil - I use it as perfume.

Clarins - Eau Dynamisante / Orchid facial oil / Tonic body oil / self bronzing cream.

ELF cosmetics, esp the blushers

Barry M - glitter nail polish, stays on for weeks sometimes months, and just paint again on top

I love Panache bras, they are tight and they take some breaking in but they really hold your boobs up and make them look great.

JudyBlumesBlubber · 19/10/2025 06:35

Tod’s loafers for days when only flats will do at work.

LittleMoreLegAction · 19/10/2025 06:40

miliop · 19/10/2025 08:12

Redback boots (like Blundstones but better IMO)
Levi's 501 90s jeans (the perfect cut)
Birkenstocks (sorted my feet out)
Victoria Beckham eyeliner (there is nothing else like it)
Emma Hardie Moringa balm cleanser (expensive but cannot give it up)
Arket t-shirts (best I've found)

LillyPJ · 19/10/2025 08:18

Not posh at all, but Lacura (from Aldi) hand cream. It has cured a lifetime of dry, cracked hands.

BastardtheCat · 19/10/2025 08:23

notacooldad · 19/10/2025 10:00

Yes Lanx boots! ENORMOUSLY expensive but so well made and last forever. I have one pair which were a lovely birthday gift from my husband a couple of years ago. They are absolutely in the buy quality, buy less category.
