Converse~ they have become a staple for me and can be picked up cheaper in the sales.

Clinique~ specifically their cleansing balm and DDML

Ultraviolet -specifically their tinted SPF 50
which I wear with bronzer on the top.

Aussie leave in conditioning spray-
perfect for taming my hair on a morning

Longchamp le Pliage bags-I have been buying these for 15 plus years and they are perfect for shopping trips, trips to the gym
and small and short breaks away.

Mulberry bags of old, my Bayswater
from the days when they were at the height of their popularity were fantastic quality.

Birkenstock. Only thing that eased my plantar fascitis (eventually).

CarlaLemarchant · 14/10/2025 22:02

Armani Luminous Silk foundation
Coach handbags
Parlux hairdryer
Aveda thickening spray
Nuxe reve de miel lip balm
Clinique moisture surge

I don’t tend to buy anything super high end, these are as luxurious as I get but have and would buy them on repeat.

Viviennemary · 14/10/2025 22:06

Charlotte Tilbury is very good. Only tried it relatively recently after reading about it on MN. Same with Tom Ford. Estee Lauder is good value but they discontinued my favourite foundation which was really annoying.

Am with you on lots of these! Haven’t tried Gabor footwear though so will take a look😉

They’re a 100 or so year old German brand that have scientifically refined the art of shoe making as it were and they do all types of footwear with lovely cushioning - especially the ‘rolling soft’ technology ones as well as half sized and wider sizes also. Thing is I went through an unhealthy stage where I was buying almost every new release 😅 as for the first time in my life - aged 30 something I could wear trendy stuff for more than a few hours before it hurting inexplicably! I’m 52 now and all my pairs are still ultra comfy as well as very long lasting!

Def recommend you taking a look if you’re in the market for something!

tramtracks · 15/10/2025 16:15

Hourglass makeup - especially mascara
Victoria Beckham eyeliners
Margaret Howell - incredibly high quality matched by prices
Bellerose clothing
Wolford tights
Augustinus Bader rich cream - it just works and is patented so no one else’s comes close
Smysthson diaries and handbags
Rag and Bone boyfriend jeans
birkenstocks
patagonia
Triumph underwear
wacoal underwear

Floisme · 15/10/2025 16:35

My hairdresser - he's not cheap but he cuts it every 6 weeks and in between all I do is wash, mess it up and go.

My Etnia Barcelona specs. Oliver Peoples also been good in the past. And my optician who has the patience of a saint.

For clothes second hand or new: Margaret Howell, Solovair shoes, Community Clothing and, for knitwear, John Smedley.

I'm a cheapskate with make up and toiletries so nothing there.

MrsPositivity1 · 16/10/2025 10:34

Me+Em clothes. Fantastic quality.

Per my username, I have awkward feet! I have to wear properly supportive, cushioned shoes or I suffer the consequences.

Also Paula's Choice BHA and a decent spf

What brand do you use? I'm a size 42 extra wide fit and struggling to find good quality shoes.

NeedWineNow · 16/10/2025 16:18

Great thread OP!

Le Pliage bags - I've got several in various sizes. Been thrown under seats at football and theatre, used to lug around my laptop, travel bag, beach bag, you name it. Brilliant.
Coach/Mulberry and (this will surprise you) Michael Kors leather bags. Also Aspinal bags.
Estee Lauder makeup and skincare also Modern Muse fragrance.
Victoria Beckham eye liners
Fila trainers. Converse are a bit too narrow for me, but Fila give me the same look with more comfort. Also see Vans Hi-Tops.
Bloch dance shoes. I took up ballet and tap again a few years ago and went up to town to get my dance shoes. I went into Bloch in Seven Dials and never looked back.
Sweaty Betty 7/8 power leggings. Bought my first pair recently for a bargainous £3 in our local charity shop and loved them, so immediately went to their shop in our local town and got another pair in the sale.

Ren skincare, RIP! Vegetarian, cruelty free and the only moisture to never bring me out in spots and I tried loads years ago. Don't know what am going to use when I run out.

Ruthietuthie · 16/10/2025 16:30

Falconeri for sweaters.
Le Chameau for wellies.
SheepInc for sweaters and sweatshirts.

As a previous Ren fan I can highly recommend Avène!

KaliforniaDreamz · 16/10/2025 17:37

Laura Mercier eyebrow pencil
Clinique Take the Day Off
Liz Earle cleanse and polish
Prima donna bras
Good coffee (lavazza will do)
Twinings English breakfast over PG tips

anything else I'm a cheapskate

(personally find Rimmel mascara - the yellow packaged one, Lash accelerator - better than Lancome)

KaliforniaDreamz · 16/10/2025 17:39

please accept my apologies for dragging food items into this thread on S&B

TheAlcott · 16/10/2025 17:42

Benefit Boing concealer in the pot, not the liquid stuff, nothing else comes close
Hourglass Dim Light powder - consistent re-purchase
Le Chameau wellies
L'Occitane Immortelle Divine cream (but I can rarely justify the price even though it's absolutely gorgeous and smells, well, divine)
Toast trousers and knits (but their dresses are always too short in the body)
Mahabi slippers - was given a pair several Christmasses ago and they're still going strong, will definitely repurchase once they finally give up the ghost
Perilla alpaca bedsocks - cannot manage without these in the colder months

FerretsPlease · 16/10/2025 17:51

Adidas
Nike
Birkenstock
Docs
Paula's choice
Benefit they're real mascara
Marcelle golden glow illuminator
Doc socks
Color wow dream cocktail
Nivea blue pot
CT lipstick and eye shadow
Catkin sponge foundation in the compact

Happyjoe · 16/10/2025 17:56

Thankyou, I appreciate it! And not wanting to come over as a tosser, they are not cruelty free sadly. But thankyou :-)

dagoo · 16/10/2025 19:26

Blundstones. Amazing quality, worth every penny

Armani Luminous silk foundation

Community clothing wool socks

notnorman · 16/10/2025 19:49

Sunday Riley. My daughter asked if I had had Botox

AcquadiP · 16/10/2025 21:52

Nesti Dante soap.

Milkshake shampoo and leave in conditioner.

Clarks shoes for work, Merrell boots for dog walking.

Woolovers 100% wool jumpers.

M&S Heatgen tops and leggings.

lifeonmars100 · 16/10/2025 22:31

MissKittyFantastico84 · 12/10/2025 15:43

L’Occitane Overnight Reset Serum (and if I have the money, their Immortelle Divine moisturiser). I can see a genuine difference in my skin when I don’t use the serum for a while.

Medik8 retinal.

Not a brand but I always buy real leather shoes. Cheap shoes are a false economy. Leather bags are worth my money too. ☺️

I'm currently using those two L'Occitaine products (a QVC bargain compared to what they would have cost in the shops) and they are lovely, the serum especially, my skin feels so smooth and I am dreading running out as I cannot afford a repurchase.

Popeyewhereareyou · 17/10/2025 09:52

Longchamp and Aspinal handbags
Turtle Doves cashmere fingerless gloves (I have Raynauds, couldn't be without them)
CT lipsticks
No 7 Pro Artist concealer

Arraminta · 17/10/2025 10:05

Wolford tights. Carefully washed and dried they can last for years.
Freya bras.
The White Company 'Spa' shower gel & body lotion. Leaves your bathroom smelling like Heaven for hours.
Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint in Bare Raspberry
Hourglass Ambient face powder

spikyplanty · 17/10/2025 17:11

Hourglass Ambient Light powder. Gets mixed reviews on here but you really do need the tiniest sweep otherwise it sits in lines. I swear by it.

Elf Halo Glow. Again, less is more. Apply with a damp beauty blender.

NYX Lift & Snatch brow pen. I have VERY sparse brows with a deep scar across one. This is the only product that actually makes me look and feel like I have ‘normal person’ eyebrows. I’d actually say it’s been life changing for me in terms of confidence.

Garnier Vit C range.

Fanola No Yellow shampoo. Tones blonde hair wonderfully.

TheMildManneredMilitant · 17/10/2025 22:48

Boring alert - but Fitflop mule fur-lined slippers. I WFH and wear slippers more than proper shoes - these saved my back and feel super cosy.

Clinique take the day off.

Acai thermal skinny walking trousers - look good and last for ages

Erborian CC cream - don't touch foundation any more

Benefit high beam
