Converse~ they have become a staple for me and can be picked up cheaper in the sales.

Clinique~ specifically their cleansing balm and DDML

Ultraviolet -specifically their tinted SPF 50
which I wear with bronzer on the top.

Aussie leave in conditioning spray-
perfect for taming my hair on a morning

Longchamp le Pliage bags-I have been buying these for 15 plus years and they are perfect for shopping trips, trips to the gym
and small and short breaks away.

Mulberry bags of old, my Bayswater
from the days when they were at the height of their popularity were fantastic quality.

Tresemme biotin repair leave in cream serum......I have thinnish wiry grey hair and I've found that this slicked on after washing and leaving it in makes.my hair soft and manageable. It doesn't weigh it down. I dont like the products that are really shiny and make your hair look like.nylon. I find the tresemme really good after looking for a long time. Might not suit everyone but for me it was a great find after looking for ages.

Also used to use the Redken elasticizer a lot when. I was younger. Dont know if they still do it.

Penelope chillvers boots
Davines hair products
estee lauder advanced night repair
Lancôme mascara

Blogswife · 13/10/2025 22:40

Elemis - particularly the cleansing balm & Dr Martens - can’t beat them for comfort .

AmpleSwan · 13/10/2025 23:23

Rubis tweezers. They are about £30 a pair and I have replaced lost ones 4 times because you can never go back once you've had a taste of genuinely good tweezers.

I have a large makeup collection from the very high end to drugstore but the only luxury make-up I would feel I had to replace if my whole collection burned down are my Hourglass setting powders and my IT Cosmetics concealer. Everything else I can find something as good or better at the drug store.

Purplecatshopaholic · 13/10/2025 23:45

Dior lipsticks. Charlotte Tilbury push up lashes mascara. Levi 501s, and Seven for all Mankind jeans.

Sandyshandy · 14/10/2025 06:06

Lancôme mascara
Hask conditioner and hair oil
Hoff trainers

StayClass · 14/10/2025 09:38

Mountain Equipment and Merrell for outdoor wear.
Nivea Soft
Mielle rosemary hair mask
Birkenstocks
Loakes docs style boots.
Liberty shirts (always second hand)
Mens M&S jeans
Long since discontinued Peacocks jeans (sob).
Titanium replacement earwires from Etsy.
Castings hair dye 700

xSideshowAuntSallyXx · 14/10/2025 11:19

Bobbi Brown mascara (it's the only one that doesn't make my eyes itch).

Gillette Venus shave gel, own brands and men's just aren't the same.

Nike trainers, only ones I've worn for the gym and running in years (I was a Nike Air wearer many years ago too). They support my feet like no others.

Freda69 · 14/10/2025 11:55

Another vote for Barbour jackets
Avene cleanser & toner (Clarins just got too expensive and my skin reacts to anything), Nivea sensitive moisturiser
Radley handbags (outlet centre near us)
Holzkern watches
Pour Moi bras (M&S never fit me)

ruethewhirl · 14/10/2025 12:02

Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. I've tried cheaper foundations to try and save some £ but the results and colour match are never quite as good. Definite holy grail.

MoominMai · 14/10/2025 12:13

Gabor - Footwear
Clinique - Eye cream
La Roche Posay - Sunscreen
Maybelline - Mascara
M&S - Cosy jeggings (for winter)
Barbour - Lightweight jackets

Platypusdiver · 14/10/2025 12:30

Dr Martens - can’t beat them for comfort

Agree for comfort, but the quality is dreadful now. I have had a pair of chelsea DMs for 6 months. The leather has cracked on both boots and I get wet feet when it rains.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2025 16:59

A few more:

Nars tinted moisturiser

Estée Lauder Futurist foundation (has replaced DW for me)

I bloody love my DM soft leather boots but bought both pairs on offer - they’re horrifically expensive at full price

BlueEyedBogWitch · 14/10/2025 21:12

A few more:

Grenson boots. Indestructible.
Venetian Lace knickers. So comfortable.
Seasalt socks.
Toast knitwear.
NavyGrey jumpers.

SisterTeatime · 12/10/2025 14:49

I’m not slavish over anything, but Birkenstock have never let me down.

They aren’t the same anymore. The company was sold .

I adore Ultraviolette! I use the same one as you (future fluid) and it is genuinely the first SPF I’ve ever enjoyed wearing. Doesn’t break me out, so light on your skin and gives such a lovely glow. Discovered it whilst on holiday in Australia last year and it has been a game changer.

I’m also a Longchamp Le Pliage devotee - been using them for over 10 years🙈 Easy to style, relatively affordable and very spacious

I swear by Aveda’s Shampowder dry shampoo. So much better than the aerosol alternatives

I guess you and @Britpopbaby missed all the controversy about ultraviolette then?

Gabor - Footwear
Clinique - Eye cream
La Roche Posay - Sunscreen
Maybelline - Mascara
M&S - Cosy jeggings (for winter)
Barbour - Lightweight jackets

Am with you on lots of these! Haven’t tried Gabor footwear though so will take a look😉

PrimalLass · 14/10/2025 21:46

Clinique Take the Day Off. It's expensive but worth it.

SilkAndSparklesForParties · 14/10/2025 21:47

Good quality make-up: clinique, estee, lancome
Good shoes: Gabor, Penny Chilvers, Russell & Bromley, Bobbies
Coach/Mulberry handbags
Triumph bras
Good socks: Seasalt/Boden are good
Whistles soft fitted jackets
My Caroline Charles velvet evening coat

Cappuccino5 · 14/10/2025 21:47

AutumnDayswhen · 14/10/2025 21:37

I guess you and @Britpopbaby missed all the controversy about ultraviolette then?

Nope - I’m fully aware of it and followed the story from both sides. The affected product was a different one to what I use though. Personally I will still continue to use Ultraviolette - as I said before their Future Fluid is the best SPF I have ever tried. For me it’s either that or no sun protection as there is genuinely no other SPF that I can tolerate on my face. I have no qualms about its protection level - I have pale, freckly Irish skin and used it daily in the harsh Australian sun for over a month with no burning or tan whatsoever. I came home as deathly white as I left🤣

ElleintheWoods · 14/10/2025 21:48

There's a fair few, such as Stuart Weitzman for boots, but I'm going to be controversial and say Wolford for basics such as bodysuits, base layers, basic black tops etc. I have been wearing them over 20 years and every single item I've ever bought is still in shape and wearable after many many wears and washes.

It's not natural materials, hence controversial, but still really great and so versatile.

La Roche Posay for skincare.

Clinique Take the Day Off. It's expensive but worth it.

And lasts for ages.

istolethetalisker · 14/10/2025 21:51

My Guerlain lipstick. Genuinely lasts for hours and hours
