Holy grail of warm waterproof winter coat

I looked but can’t find a recent thread on this. I need to replace my aged and not very waterproof puffa coat.

Needs To be mid thigh at least, waterproof and insulated. Can’t afford NF and I’m not a huge fan of things that are waisted, what are all the school run mums and dog walkers buying in preparation for the winter?

Also I bought a Regatta changing robe cheap off Vinted for this winter. I shall look like a twat Im sure, but a dry and warm twat!😊

This is my jacket. Like you @BackToLurk I have long arms and am tall, and it is perfect for the weather we get where I live (edge of Pennines, usually lots of rain and damp weather)

Thanks for all of these suggestions. I’m down a rabbit hole of winter coats! I don’t really wanted fitted. Though full on Liam Gallagher parka ma need to be avoided too!

I have this from mountain warehouse. It's been great and I'm outdoors quite a bit with dogs and kids. I have worn it on the school run and even had some compliments on how nice it is!

I’ve just bought the lands end stadium squall this year. I thought it didn’t seem that warm but wore it out on one of the chillier days we’ve had and I was boiling! Now almost looking forward to it getting colder and wet so I can see how it performs.

It is deceptively warm. I love it as don't feel restricted. I can walk, scramble over rocks at the beach.. it honestly is the perfect coat

Didriksons 100%. I’m on my second one - had the first for 10 years. I just got a new one - ordered from them directly with three different coats and free to return. Great service. Am wearing my new coat now in Norway.
