That’s so annoying @keepincool 😅, and at the same time so lovely of your sister. I’d be upfront as she could probably refund if she’s just bought it, but you know your sister best of course. Have you tried contacting Liberty CS yourself to see if they’d refund or exchange for vouchers? Then you could repurchase your fav items. I think the items do well when you list them on their opening day, as people read the opening threads and then go to snap up on Vinted.

What a difficult situation, @keepincool. I think if it was me, I would try to sell the entire calendar in eBay. Although you can sell individual items on Vinted, you can’t sell advent calendars themselves for some reason. I can understand why you don’t want your sister to know that you’ve already got it.

I’ve just rejoined beauty drop as I’m having second thoughts about the Liberty AC. This may sound like an odd question but how big is the drawstring bag?

My sister is lovely, and very generous, but we do clash at times over little things and I think it's best to be thrilled with the AC she's put thought into, which was my fave anyway as I'd already purchased it 😁.

If i can't sell the calendar as it is I might sell things on opening day as suggested by @BakeOffRewatch . That way i also get my surprise each day (I'm one of those who waits until December without peeking)

@keepincool is it definitely for you? There's nobody else she could have bought for? Or bought Liberty for herself and you one from your list.

If she's buying you expensive BAC then I assume you've got a good relationship so I would ask her up front. I wouldn't want you to sell on your Liberty only to find out she hadn't got you that one.

@keepincool could you keep duplicates of the things you love and resell the others? I’d definitely be tempted to keep both if the drawstring bags, lip balms and lipsticks!

Definitely for me as we'd discussed which calendars she's purchased for other members of the family. She was showing me other gifts for family members when I spotted the drawstring bag in the corner, and she knows I've just discovered Liberty beauty drop. DSis has a different one for herself. Knowing DSis i think telling her I already have Liberty could put her out a bit. Next year I'll make sure I tell her in advance if I purchase any AC's myself.

That's a shame. It's a lovely gesture from your DSis but would have been even nicer if she'd stuck to the list.

It might be difficult to sell on the calendar in one piece so I think I would probably wait until after Dec. See which products I would like to keep in duplicate then sell on the excess individually.

@keepincool You could always offer to sell it on here. There may be someone on this thread who would like it.

@keepincool just to say, according to their T&Cs. Vinted don't allow advent calendars. Though there seem to be plenty for sale 🤔

I had a fragrance shopping day today. Tested out the ones from HN & SNK that I was unsure of. I didn’t get to try the Pistachio one from SNK but I don’t think it would be one for me anyway.
On initial test of the Malin strawberry I wasn’t overly impressed. But I nipped back in after my shopping to try again on my skin and it’s settled really nicely.

Are there any codes that work with the You Beauty calendar?

Sorry if this has been answered already. For me it shows in the Shop part of TikTok at the bottom of the screen.
Because I basically haven't got a clue how this stupid TikTok works (really struggling with Instagram but I am beyond surprised when I can figure out Vinted 😁).
what I do is I pretend to buy item x and then all the discounts appear on the final screen before placing the order. Sometimes there is a discounts line where I have to press on it to view and choose which discounts I want. Then I look at the final price.
Saying all that, I didn't have any discounts showing for me over the last couple of days, on anything. It's a trial and error and total randomness if I get anything. Or if I actually see it.

Glad its not just me that struggles with tiktok shop. 😄
Ive managed to get to grips with vinted now. Until they change their format 😄

I was very tempted by the Korean BAC that @AppleDumplingWithCustard linked to (I think!) but have just bought one of the Cult Beauty Edits - it has Bio Effect serum which I really want to try in it plus Zelens Vit D which I like and am almost out of. I’m going to give it to DH to wrap for me for Christmas. It’s one of their more expensive edits but they are still really good value.

For those interested in the Lumene advent it’s discounted to £79.95 today on AllBeauty. An extra 10% for registering as a new customer takes it to £71.95. I’m relieved as I was actually getting bored with all the stalking so that’s me finally sorted for ACs (along with Glossybox). See you on the opening threads 👏

On the tik tok I search in the shop for what I’m looking for like ‘beauty advent calendar’ to lure the bots and then I scroll on the normal ‘for you’ part of tik tok - through all the general videos and sure enough I’ll get tonnes of unboxing videos and/or promotional videos by content creators on beauty calendars. Then some will have links to buy them - look to the bottom left you should see a little yellow shopping bag symbol and if you ‘click here now’ on the symbol and some of these will have unique discount codes applied (not all of them do some just take you to purchase). I keep getting the 30% off OK every time I log into TikTok after scrolling for a minute. Hope that helps!

I bought this one too. I'm a big lover of the Egf serum, I'm not too keen on zelens, but I'll give it a try. I also love augustinus bader and 111skin, so I'm looking forward to trying those products out. It is more than what I wanted to pay, but still cheaper than the price of the Egf on its own 😊
