Kindred only to start with usually.

Dahlietta · 22/12/2025 14:30

Me neither. It’s annoying because I got an email only a couple of months ago saying “Your Kindred membership has come to an end” 🤔

Countmeout · 22/12/2025 14:33

Thanks @Theteapotsbrokenspout .

AFingerofFudge · 22/12/2025 14:33

I can’t access the sale even though I have kindred.

Saurus72 · 22/12/2025 14:35

All looks very resistible to me! Let’s hope this is just a soft launch and there’s more interesting things to follow…

alliscalm · 22/12/2025 14:36

Neither can I, AFingerofFudge

Dahlietta · 22/12/2025 14:36

Are you logged in, @AFingerofFudge ?

alliscalm · 22/12/2025 14:38

Thank you @Dahlietta! Basic error

Dahlietta · 22/12/2025 14:43

@alliscalm , can you tell I have made that error (at least once…) before? 😆

IlovePond · 22/12/2025 14:48

Hi, I have ordered a nightie and matching on bottoms and a pair of Gabis. I have zero expectation that the Gabis will fit/look ok, but have heard so much about them I thought I would give them a go!

I usually have better luck with nightwear, so am reasonably hopeful about this part of my order.

There was absolutely nothing else I fancied, so could be a - relatively speaking- cheap sale for me!

I almost ordered more crackers but restrained myself!

Snowyowl78 · 22/12/2025 14:54

@IlovePond which Gabis did you order? Not a huge amount in this sale. I ordered a Baya shirt in the flower print. Took a chance on the size smaller than my indigo twill one as reviews said it was big. And the workwear jacket in cobalt. Nothing else on my list has appeared!

faustina · 22/12/2025 14:55

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - thank you very much. So relieved it's today and not tomorrow when I'll be having foils wrapped round my hair! I've ordered the long sleeved stripe t-shirt which was on my Wishlist and a pair of cord gabis in toffee. Nothing else appealed. Sadly you aren't allowed to do try before you buy for sale items

OrangeyLemon · 22/12/2025 15:15

I’ve ordered some socks. Do they usually some more items later in the winter sale? I thought so..

AmethystMoonShine · 22/12/2025 15:18

Thank you @Theteapotsbrokenspout
I've gone for a skirt to try and a few Christmas decorations that I was eyeing up in the Mayfair store recently. VERY restrained sale for me so far. Lots and lots of old sale stuff recycled I think?

ToastCosILoveIt · 22/12/2025 15:20

Yes, initially looked exciting but few of the bits I was waiting for are in the sale, hopefully when they extend it after Christmas they will be…happy sales hunting and to those who haven’t yet got access, you’re not missing a corker.

OftenOrange · 22/12/2025 15:25

Still have flu brain so my order comprised duplicates ( hopefully updated and zingy) of many of my favourites:

Denm dungarees
Japanese denim slim jeans
Orange Kia cardi

first try of
Pyjamas ( always been nightie)
Taro shirt ( like the idea but it looks sooo long)
Moonstar pumps ( need non trainer pale footwear)

BettinaInDenmark · 22/12/2025 15:28

The Toast website tells me, that the sale is not for my part of the world...
Bummer!
Well, hopefully sale will be extended to mainland Europe soon.

BettinaInDenmark · 22/12/2025 15:44

Oh, got an e-mail from Toast just now, with a link that works!

OftenOrange · 22/12/2025 15:45

@Wowserme I have the exact same coat in green from 2 years ago . It’s such a great coat and I wear it a lot .
The only negative for me is the storage during warmer months, it is heavy and you have to be sure the hanger is not making little dents in the shoulder . I have to store it in a huge plastic shroud to guard against moth . All worth it , it’s fab.

@ToastCosILoveIt The little patchwork gilet caught my eye too, love it .

I had flu for a week and have been watching loads of knitting podcasts on YouTube, what a rabbit hole! I had vague thoughts of getting back into it , but what takes those people a week would literally take me a year and almost certainly will be off fit wise.

Talking of knitted gilets and tanks, the Uruguayan blue and green knitted tank in the sale is one of my favourite items , quite a bargain in the sale .
Now considering the Mustard version !

MiracleToast · 22/12/2025 15:45

@Theteapotsbrokenspout thank you thank you!

Stoic123 · 22/12/2025 15:46

Very little has grabbed my attention - just a wood block kit that I'd earmarked as a top up birthday present (will add a couple of ink pads).

Would have picked up some baubles or socks but I'm all baubled and socked out from previous years.

RockaLock · 22/12/2025 16:16

I have to say, I am becoming less and less inclined to buy from toast!

Fair enough if they don’t think I spent enough last year to retain my hallowed kindred status - but for the sake of what, the cost of a free £15 delivery pass, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth and quite frankly they would have done better never to give me kindred, rather than award it and then take it away.

I get all sorts of “pre-sale early access!” emails from all sorts of retailers, but in all cases it’s because I have chosen to sign up to emails or a loyalty thing - it’s not at the retailer’s whim!

ah well. I am on the verge of ditching all my toast knitwear anyway, because it bobbles and pills so badly that it looks really shabby, it’s definitely the worst knitwear I have for that, so maybe it’s not a bad thing!

mizu · 22/12/2025 16:20

@BettinaInDenmark it’s telling me that too and I’m in the UK. Think it’s only early access.

AFingerofFudge · 22/12/2025 16:21

Even though I was logged in I still couldn’t access it until I got an email of my own from Toast, weird!
I have ordered a random selection of items including the red pleated skirt, the cashmere long dress, the Bronwen Indigo Trousers and a green hat. I always put it on Paypal
credit so the money doesnt actually leave my account, and then I send most back asap.

I agree about the Kindred membership. I was very peeved at losing mine in the summer, even though I had bought quite a few things the previous year, and have only bought one sale dress from them since. It does seem a poor PR move for the sake of a £15 delivery pass; I wrote and told them but didn't hear back. But I still love their knitwear and live in Toast Donegal jumpers in the winter (I have 3 different colours).
