Skin on neck. Mini facelift?

Hi all
Im 48 and have this horrible loose skin on my neck. So far I've tried microneedling. Check fillers to lift the face. Nothing makes a difference. Im wondering about a mini face lift? It's literally the skin on my neck so dont want a massive face-lift surgery. Any other ideas or thoughts?

I'm your age and this looks pretty normal to me.

At least you don't have a double chin!

Following the thread to see what others think. If there are solutions I may need them too!

KateMiskin · 19/09/2025 13:20

Normal. Nobody would even notice.

BlueSuedePumps · 19/09/2025 13:22

The only answer is a neck lift and it's not worth it. You'd need it redoing in 10 years.

I asked about this once and was advised a mix of Botox and microneedling (one of the best places in the UK- (Harley St) and was told I'd just get a 50% improvement.

Mines far worse than yours.

GrimDamnFanjo · 19/09/2025 13:24

I'd keep on with the microneedling tbh - how many sessions have you had?

MaiAamWaliHun · 19/09/2025 14:19

Neck lift and it totally can be worth it, depending on what you are looking for. Necklift has the added benefit of giving a bit of a mini lower facelift too .

Healthworker · 20/09/2025 10:26

Thank you all. Maybe I just need to accept it! Ive only done one microneedling session. Ive started being good with the spf and using retinol too.

Exactly and no wrinkles on the chest so OP's doing well for her age.

Mine’s worse than yours and I’d love to get a neck lift. I’ve no idea how much it would cost though, nor how to go about finding out.

musicalfrog · 20/09/2025 16:20

Now I'm interested in the neck lift as wondering if it would sort a double chin in the process 🤔

Beckywiththegoodnails · 20/09/2025 16:23

Have a look at Exion - I’m doing the radio frequency not the microneedling and delighted with the results so far

KnickerlessParsons · 20/09/2025 18:56

Will do. Thanks.

I am tret-ing my neck. Not sure if it does much. I suspect carrying oneself with poise probably does more for this than any treatment. A strong posture and the inner knowledge that you are the wisest person in the room. Channelling my inner Maggie smith or Judy dench.

Allseeingallknowing · 20/09/2025 19:24

Horrible loose skin-where? Many would like to have that neck. At least you haven’t got a dewlap effect. I wouldn’t worry about that for a few years yet!

I have to say that I have no wrinkles on my chest either- at 77. Elsewhere though…

Healthworker · 20/09/2025 22:37

You've all made me feel better 😅. I'm going to look at some of these suggestions and make peace with my neck

Photo or I don't believe you.

I have something quite similar and planning on doing a nefertiti necklift when I lose a bit more weight. Botox around the neck which lifts the muscles and should help with the excess skin too hopefully, researched and it seems quite effective and not too expensive, will be thinking of threads though if that doesn't help.

Caci helped me in my early 50s. Doesn’t do much now I’m over 60

Will that do?

Yes. Quite shocking for me.

Shocking- why?

ADHDHDHDHD · 03/10/2025 23:42

You have a perfectly normal neck

That a person of 77 has no wrinkles on the chest.

If you avoid the sun for most of your life, you won't have many chest wrinkles.
